"An Ideal Hotel for Our First Trip to Paris"
My wife, daughter and I spent a week at Hotel Cervantes in April, our first time in Paris. It was perfect for us. The hotel is in a great location. . .a two minute walk from the Rome Metro station, from which we effortlessly accessed everywhere in the city we wanted to go on the city's superb transit system. The hotel is surrounded by a quiet, mostly […] residential neighborhood with many nearby restaurants, bistros and bakeries. With lattes, croissants and pastries so close, we never made it to the hotel's breakfast buffet! The hotel has a smallish feel and, as expected, our room was not especially large, esp. with a rollaway bed next to our King bed. But the maid service was very good and the TV and bathroom were modern. We enjoyed the street views from the accessible small balconies. The hotel's best feature may be its excellent front desk staff. We saw four different persons as we came and went over that week, all of whom were youngish, very courteous and helpful, and spoke flawless English. It was a traveler's review very similar to this one which caused us to book our stay with this hotel. Cervantes has received enthusiastic reviews from visitors despite offering a fairly moderate price range. . .I'm glad to report the good reviews were well deserved. "Cervantes - Paris (Near Rome train station)"
Rome is on the blue metro line, which requires a few extra transfers to the main sites, but not too bad. It's not near walking distance to hardly anything, however, but with the metro all of Paris is close by. A late night taxi from the Notre Dame was under 11 euro. Regarding the train noise, I had an interior room with ZERO view, however, the train […] noise was almost non-existent. The hotel overall was very quiet I thought! I had a single room which was quite tiny and tight, but all the available space was cleverly used to make the most out of it. I did not eat the 15 euro breakfast, opting instead to buy some fresh fruit at a local grocer around the corner and drink the free coffee in the room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was in a great location. The metro was 1 block away and several restaurants were within walking distance. The front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was in a residential area, so it was very quiet at night. Great way to recharge and take on Paris the next day. I would definitely stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great find in Paris"
We got stuck in Paris for one night and found Hotel Cervantes on Expedia. We easily took the train there from the airport and found it to be a very short walk from the Metro stop. The desk clerk guided us to the perfect little neighborhood French restaurant and showed us a walking route to the Sacre Coeur. It was a lovely unexpected night in Paris. […] The hotel was clean and nice and very reasonably priced. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"First time in Paris"
As a budget tourist who basically uses a hotel as a base to visit sites and sleep, this hotel more than met my requirements. Used the Roissybus (10 euros each way) from CDG to Paris about 10 min walk to hotel from Opera. Also the hop on/off bus located in Opera. Metro station Rome is a half block away. Room was small but more than adequate. It appears […] the hotel has been renovated fairly recently. I'd stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place to stay, great value."
Great location 2 blocks from the Metro. Nice hot breakfast buffet included with room (check about this because the breakfast is not always included. We were able to find coupons for a free breakfast for the one day of our stay that was not included). Nice newly renovated rooms, very clean. Friendly helpful staff spoke English. Within a short walk to […] groceries, restaurants etc. Excellent value for the cost. Very enjoyable stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Paris first timers stay"
Nice neat, clean hotel located near the "tube" for easy transportation to anywhere in Paris. This was our first visit to Paris (budget trip) and we selected this property based in large part on the previous reviewers. Rooms are small, bed was very comfortable, bathroom adequate, hotel staff helpful and friendly. There were small mom and pop bakeries […] close by and all were excellent. Biggest complaint that we had was the lack of outlets for hair dryer, etc in the bathroom, there was one outlet and it was limited to 1/2 amp (note read "shavers only") Bottom line is that we would stay here again. Very good location, near to the metro. Many cafe's nearby.Reception excelent.First night the room was very small for two people, next night we changed the room to bigger one and we were satisfied.I'll recomend this hotel to all my friends.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was very very small, but ok for a place to stay the night. Front reception was friendly enough.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Hotel, Great Location"
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Cervantes- the hotel was in a safe and pleasant area, close to restaurants and bakeries, as well as a number of Metro Stations and Gare de Lazare (to get to Versailles within half an hour). We had a triple premium room which had ample space for the 3 of us. Very clean room in a modern hotel, yet on an old, pretty […] Parisian street. The staff were very helpful (directions, printing bookings for river tours etc) and spoke very good English (very handy given our poor French). Easy to walk to most main sites, e.g. Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elysees, Place de la Concorde, Sacre Coeur, with metro close by for further sites. Also, note for future tourists- if unsure which train tickets to get for the trip, there is a booklet in the room explaining different types. There's also a convenience store/grocer's at the end of the road for cheap fruit, snacks, water etc. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel close to the metro"
The hotel is located near to the shopping district of Galleries La Fayette and the Opera (ten minutes walk to the main road). When we arrived, I found it was a tiny hotel and the receptionist was not very welcoming. As we arrived early and could not check in until three pm, we left our luggage in the luggage room. This we had to ourselves. There were […] no tags/tokens given as security to leave them in the very tiny room. Checking in was quick and easy but we were not given any information about the hotel or facilities. There was no one to take the bags to the room. All of this was ok for us but just be aware if you have alot of luggage and cannot carry them up. The room was sufficient in size for a city break as most people are out the whole day and only have a small case. Everything was in working order and our room had a balcony overlooking the street. There is a small restaurant where you can pay for breakfast but I suggest you go to the bakery (turn right walk to the end of the road and turn left and you will see it across the road) which is a far cheaper option. As we were out all day we did not need anything from the hotel, it was just a base for us. Do not book this hotel if you are expecting anything more than a clean room/bathroom. It was expensive for a three star but it served our purpose. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Perfect room! really helpful staff and close to all attractions. Definitely recommendGenuine Expedia guest review
Good: Clean, Service staff is friendly. Bad: Small rooms. Just enough to walk about in room, surroundings - nothing much except quite close to subway.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"2 night Eurostar break"
The hotel lacks adequate sound proofing. You can hear the bathroom above and also a heavy amount of walking. On the plus side the staff are helpful and the location within 3 stations is excellent. You ultimately get what you pay for and falls within the expectations of a 3 star hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
Booked it online and was very impressed when we arrived. Location was great, rooms and service were great and not too expensive. Would definitely stay again when we return to Paris. Didn't try the buffet breakfast so not sure how it is.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Our first room was terrible. Too small. No drawers. Little space for hanging up clothes. We were so unhappy that we had to request another room for more money. Room #2 was much better. At least we had a nice closet and shelves. I had requested a shower chair and told I would have one in our room. When we got there there was no chair and there would […] not be one available. As I am an amputee that became a major problem for me. The breakfasts were OK. The saving grace of this hotel were the staff that manned the desk. They were very helpful and nice. But they could not over come some of the other inadequacies of the hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great hotel, great price, recommend!"
Room was great. Received a comp upgrade. Front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. Close to metro station and bus stop. Quiet street with great French atmosphere, great in rom wifi as well. Only one concern - they have very little security for left luggage. They do have a camera but luggage room is by the elevator, not within eye shot of the […] desk, has no lock, and has no verification system. I could have walked out with anyone's luggage as could people not from this hotel. They need to lock this room and issue tickets for your bag. Overall a definite recommend! "Stylish and comfortable"
A very stylish hotel ; although our room was relatively small it was spotlessly clean, well appointed with fresh and attractive decor. Breakfast was reasonably priced and tasty. The hotel was situated close to transport links and made a great base from which to explore Montmartre in particular and Paris in general.Genuine Expedia guest review
Would recommend this hotel, clean and tidy. Centrally located. Staff helpful and friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
Small rooms, old bathroom...and too far from main attractionsGenuine Expedia guest review
"A petit double room in Paris!"
Only a few mins walk to/from Rome Metro Station in Paris. You will find a supermarket down the road (opp. to the Rome Metro station). The room itself was a bit small but very clean, you might hear trains crossing-by at night time. The bed size was good enough as a double-bed. The staff there was ok helpful. They have a kettle inside room, the basin […] was too small for pouring water in, better use the shower head. Free Wifi... I saw some reviews said they need to pay for the Wifi, but it was NOT the case though. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Cervantes-great place to stay for those on a budge"
Hotel Cervantes is a great place to stay if you're on a budget like we were. Me and my girlfriend stayd there from 22.3 to 26.3 and we really enjoyed it. It's really close to the metro station and the street and general area is very peaceful. We had our room (64) on the highest floor, street side, as far away from the elevator, exactly what I asked […] for. The room was clean and the wifi good. Our soap machine didn't work though. Staff was nice and aswered our questions, we left our bags for a few ours there after checing out and they ecen loaned us a wine bottle opener. Overall a good place to stay assuming you only spend the nights there. I would not pay for the breakfast though. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel Cervantes Paris - great location"
Hotel Cervantes Paris is gem of a hotel in the heart of Paris. It is easy to get to either from the airport or train stations - on the Metro line from Gare du Nord to the Arc de Triomphe. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel has excellent free wifi and a nice hot-cold buffet breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel Cervantes- perfect pied a terre"
Hotel Cervantes is perfect pied a terre for explorimg Paris by day and night. Close to the buzzy area of Montmatre and really close to Rome metro, everywhere was very easy to get to. The room was super clean and fresh and a good alternative to below par hotels I've stayed in in the St Germain area. It is very close to Gare St Lazare so you do feel the […] trains rumble by, but other than that, really helpful staff and a great stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location location location"
The hotel is situated perfectly for going out in Paris. Everything is either within walking distance or a quick ride on the metro (station is Rome). This fact is by far the best about this hotel. The rooms are pretty standard, and the breakfast is ok. You pay for the location. I've stayed at better standard hotels in La Defence for better or same price […] - but who wants to stay out there for a weekend?! Nobody! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"one night in Paris - business"
pretty disapointed by the location, not really in les champs elysee neighbourhood. Room was big and app. clean but a lot of plastic and beyond the window was a wall... No caracter at all. And on the top of that the internet bandwidth was very very poor (3 minutes to send a 5Mb attachment)...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Value for Money"
Real value for money - very handy to 3 metro stations and within walking distance of Sacre Coeur.Genuine Expedia guest review
It's a very chic and clean hotel which is a relaxing thing when customer arrives the room. But one thing inconvenient is distance from center though Metro Rome is like 5 mins walk away. If you're looking for a chic and clean hotel I will recommend!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, tiny rooms"
This hotel is easy to find (less than 200 meters from the Rome metro station) and the area has a good selection of bistros and restaurants. The hotel is clean and the staff friendly, but as a business traveller I found the room itself disappointing. Firstly, although it had a wonderful contemporay design and was very well maintained, it was tiny. My […] suitcase had to be on the bed as there was not enough floor space to open it and the bathroom was so small that anyone with long legs could not physically sit on the toilet. The basin was so shallow I could not fill the ketle from the tap. The space issue wasn't helped by the fact I had a booking for a twin room and they had given me a sinngle room (obviously noting I was travelling alone but with the resultant loss of other s[pace). The hotel is alos a little close to the rail/metro line resulting in early morning train noise (rumbling) and the plumbing gurgled so much it actually woke me up. The air conditioning was modern but not very effective and I had to open a window to cool the room in November, which felt a little unsafe as behind the frosted window was a rather scruffy courtyard from which my first floor window was very acessible. That having been said if you are a heavy sleeper, just want someone very clean to spend a night in a oood location then this fits the bill. The breakfast was good, the staff helpful and it is easy to find. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great value in Paris"
Not much to say really. Quite bright, young and funky, but bordering on a youth hostel feel. Room was small and bathroom tiny but comfortable and clean. Liked the decor, bed linen etc. Had a safe which was a plus and location was super for long walks around town. Highly recommended budget option - I will definitely go back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location. Great rooms, friendly staff. Will definitely rebook.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel Cervantes Paris"
The hotel was really nice and the front desk ladies very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very small but comfortable. Very close to the metro providing easy access around Paris. We did get a good price off hotels.com not sure if the room would have been worth it for the full price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Average location undermines the newish renovation"
Located in the 8th District on a Metro line that does not run through the city centre reqires multiple changes to get around to places of interest, there are more convenient options. The hotel is well air conditioned and sound proofed(just as well as it's located next door to an RER line). The Standard rooms are tiny, even by Parisian standards, as […] are the bathrooms. A big plus is the restaurant just up the street....L'Affiche is an absolute gem. Hotel Cervantes is OK but I'd rather stay in the 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th Arrondissements in preference if I had a choice. "Cervantes near St Lazare"
It was a bit noisy ! Very near St Lazare station. As I was there over a long weekend didn;t notice it too much. Shower was too small for a man of my stature (6 foot 2 inches). Good breakfast. Good wi-fi. Also handy TV with CD/DVD Player. Neighbourhood is just o.k. for Paris.Genuine Expedia guest review
"More than happy to recommend"
The location of the hotel is great, only 5 min. walk from the metro station and there are quite a few good restaurants nearby. The rooms are small, but the design is nice. "Would recommend this Hotel"
Very impressed with the Hotel, the metro station Rome was less than 10 minutes walk away making it an ideal location to get to all the main tourist sights. Hotel was extremely clean, breakfast was good, the only minor draw back was although our shower worked the position of the shower head couldn't be altered. We were also lucky that we had a room […] on the front of the hotel which was very quiet, not sure about the rooms on the back as they backed onto busy rail line and we could hear the faint rumble of the trains. The hotel was 3 mins away from the nearest metro so getting around Paris was so easy. The hotel it's self had helpful reception staff who spoke English. "Close to subway Rome"
I was in Paris on business and was staying over for only a couple of nights. The room is extremely small and the shower is almost too small to even have a decent shower.
