Our room was quiet and comfortable. We asked for a late checkout the next morning since when we checked in at 11:30 pm and the desk clerk said ok as long as we were out by 12 noon. We were in town for a week of Market in High Point. Our room was not the cleanest, at all. Bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke, so I had to keep the door shut during our stay. We stayed here for the Lexington BBQ festival, a Friday and Saturday night. The front desk personnel were very personable and outgoing. Angela helped to check in and also gave us very good directions to a restaurant. The room was spacious, the couch and chairs were not the most comfortable. The mattress was the worst. non smoking room smelled like old stale cigarettes...spots of what appeared to be blood on one pillow case.....bathtub could have been cleaner...mold on underside of bath mat....burn mark on blanket....spots on comforter on top of bed. If the room had a good cleaning it would have been really nice, however it was not really clean. around the bed was someones old pieces of jewerly, had not been vacuum. I stayed 2 nights so when the maids come in to give towels, they just pulled up the bedspread and never fixed the bed. you could tell that there were bed wrinkles. my bed the bedspread […] was never put back on the bed, still in the floor. The microwave had food on the front of the door and down the cabinets had food. Convenience of location was wonderful, room was very spacious, staff was very friendly, price of room was fair. Cleanliness was somewhat an issue. The bathroom was not very clean. There was hair in the tube and on the floor. I was VERY disappointed with the front desk staff. I called the hotel prior to confirm our reservation and told that person we had two small dogs and was assured it wouln't be an issue and would cost $10. The clerk called saying she needed my card for a deposit but did not say why. I went up front and the woman told me there was a fee for the pets. […] I told her that was fine. She told me that they had put me in a non-pet room and we probably have to move. I reminded her that we told them we would have pets when I called to confirm. She insinuated I was lying. The other employee told me $20 despite being told $10. The clerk did not budge and I gave them my debit card. He told me it had been declined and I told him to try it again, and it was declined again. I noticed the woman actually traced an outline of my card which I was uncomfortable with. I told both clerks that I had used the card several times that day and was about to give them another card and thought better. I told them we would go to an ATM and bring cash back. We went to an ATM, Wal-Mart, and Goodwill where the card worked fine. I told the man upon return about this to which I received an insincere apology. This was the main point of dissatisfaction. Also the room was missing a fridge, the coffee maker was missing the carafe and the room seemed to be old and had not been cleaned or maintained well. Pleased by the condition of the room until I sat down on the toilet seat to dry my feet after showering. It flexed so far I thought it would break (I weigh 170 lbs.) Don't know why they would by such a cheesy piece of junk when everything else was good or excellent quality.

This was my second time to stay at this Days Inn. The staff is the greatest. I had asked for a gift basket to be placed in the room of my newly wed brother-in- law and they were happy to do this task. This was a clean, organized hotel set apart from other properties and hence good for a visitor needing to walk their dog. The continental breakfast offered more than we anticipated and we thought it was great. I think this hotel is well run.

Stayed here last July for a bike race, did the same this year. Nice size rooms and the queensize beds are nice when there are more than 2 people in the room. Wich breakfast started a little earlier but us cyclists get up at crazy early hours anyway.
