"Excellent value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Great location close to Deutsche Oper Berlin and served by bus less than 100m walk from the front door, less than 30 minutes to the Hauptbahnhof by bus and S-bahn. Excellent breakfast, one of the best I've had at the price. My only complaint is some smoking jerk in the floor below would blow his garbage out his window and of course it would be sucked directly into my windows. Thankfully the air-conditioning was working perfectly.
"Nice place to spend a weekend."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Had a really great stay. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed to friendliness of the staff and the comfort of the room. The only real complaint I have is that the doors and room are not that well sound proofed and you can hear everything in the hallway. But overall, good comfortable stay.
"Berlin visit by 6 seniors"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Very nice. No complaints. Had to pay for breakfast and wifi and parking but that seems to be standard in Europe. Breakfast was exceptionally good, great variety and quality. Room was very nice as was Hotel. Front desk staff was friendly, helpfl and spoke good English. Could walk safetly from Hotel to major attractions. On a street car and subway route. Would stay here again.
"Great Location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Everything was very good, including the restaurant. There are only a few things I would change: 1. The room had an old rundowned carpet. No matter how much you vacuum it, it does not look clean. Would much rather have a hardwood floor or something similar. 2. The "business room" is a very tinny space with only one computer. For the money I payed, I would expect a "real" bussiness room with three or four PC's, etc. 3. The espresso coffee machine never worked (although you can get good coffee just about everywhere around the place). Other than that, it is a great hotel ... specially the view, WOW ... awesome ... and the location can't be better. The staff was very friendly too.

Formerly the centre of East Berlin, Mitte is split down the middle by Unter den Linden and contains nearly all of Berlin's key churches, museums, theatres and memorials. The Fernsehturm (TV tower) by Alexanderplatz offers the best view over Berlin. Museums include the Pergamon, National Gallery, Bode and the Old Museum. The Red City Hall and the Dom (cathedral) are close to the museums and there are two other churches on Gendarmenmarkt.

It is an eastern german time hotel So small rooms Bathroom and bed in one room and you are like sleeping next to the bath tub
"Great hotel, great location"
My friend and I stayed here and it was great! Super centrally located, friendly staff, AWESOME BAR. The room was ok... had a great view. Berlin is an awesome city. When I come back, I'll be staying at the Park Inn
"clean & friendly"
check in was fast ,staff is friendly and the room was very nice and clean -modern feeling and great view-I will come again
"Great location but messed up room."
Great location, nice restaurant and bar in the hotell, decent size but what is the deal with the layout with the bathroom and shower in the room. Only a matted glass door to separate it from the room and the sink is literally in the room . Ended up upgrading to a bigger room since this is just stupid and the upgrade still had the tub and sink in the […] room, only separated by a glass wall and curtains. Read more
"Good location, great hotel bar."
Good location - right be a plaza and train station. Walking distance to restaurants. Only complaint is a few nights when room was warm (albiet in Fall season), hotel maintenance wasn't able to reduce A/C any lower. We had to sleep with windows open. Also, at one point the hotel wanted to charge a early check-in fee. Hotel, however, has a great bar!
"great hotel, small rooms"
The location of Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz is optimal - in the very center of Berlin, close to public transport stations. Although there is lot of traffic and other activities around the hotel it is absolutely quiet. The breakfast buffet is great. The only disadvantage is the size of the standard rooms. They are really very small, bath […] room is only seperated by a curtain and the door to the toilet cannot be locked. Read more

"Park Inn Berlin"
Modern, but small room. Charged for everything. Expensive parking.
"Perfectly located"
This hotel gives you easy walking access to many of the major historical sights in Berlin. It is also right on a train line making it easy to get just about anywhere. There is a market just outside the door where you can eat, drink and shop. The rooftop observation deck is magnificient.

This hotel was great! It was extremely clean and modern compared to other European hotels my husband and I stayed in. The staff spoke English and were friendly and helpful. This hotel, while not in the middle of many Berlin sights, was within walking distance of many of them. If you don't feel like walking, the hotel was right on the Alexanderplatz […] where you could catch a tram or a sightseeing bus to get you where you would want to go. The train station was right behind the hotel, which was convenient for breakfast on Sunday morning as the restaurants in the station were the only ones open before 10 AM! We would highly recommend this hotel to travellers to Berlin. Great accomodations for a reasonable price! Read more
"Location, quality & inexpensiveness"
My stay at the Radisson's Park Inn of Berlin lasted only five days, but I got to say the experience was overall great. The hotel lies within a medium walking distace of the Brandenburg Gate, about 2 km, and most of Berlins most interesting sights can be seen around that very path. You have the metro and railway station pretty much on the backyard with […] all possible fastfood joints around it, and via the station you have access to the whole city with ease. The quality of service was way over average and the hotel itself looked really nice inside and outside. Also I think a close to five star hotel is very inexpensive, if two person's one night stay can be split in fifty bucks each in such a major scene. About the nightlife of the area, I got to say that you have some nice restaurants and clubs at very close range and smaller, but most fascinating local bars and pubs some 3-5 hundred meters north of the place. If i have to find something bad to say about the hotel, I guess it's the WiFi which i think should be pretty much standard in any hotel. Here however the WiFi worked only at the lobby of the 30 floor hotel, and you had to pay of the usage with your credit card. Gladly the hotel personnel tipped me about a free WiFi at a Starbucks just on the other side of the metro station at the foot of the Fernsehturm. Other than that, enjoy your stay. Read more
"Park Inn by Radisson - Reasonable price"
We had a nice stay in a well mantained hotel, comfortable room, convenient location, except construction in front of the hotel makes it somewhat difficult to roll the luggage, particularly when it is raining.
"Where to stay in East Berlin"
This hotel was great! Perfect location and helpful staff. Their internet rates are however robbery and if you are sharing a room with a friend be prepared that the bathrom and shower are completely open to the entire hotel room. Is that European?
"Excelllent location"
There was city constrution all around the front entrance of the hotel - it would have been helpful to know where exactly the parking was as that is between the two directions of traffic just in front of the hotel.
"Great Location"
You really can't complain about the location. Its located close to bus, tram and subway, and next to the TV tower. Great surrounding neighborhood, and walkable to museum island. Rooms are smallish but comfortable. I got charged a supplement (15 euros/night) to get early check in, a higher floor and view on Alexanderplatz. Great deal. Breakfast is pricey […] and is not as good as other hotels. If you want to tour the city's sites, check out the Segway tours that start from Alexanderplatz. We had so much fun riding and got a great guide too. Read more
"The Hotel Park inn, Alexanderplatz, Berlin"
The hotel is located in an excellent location, convenient starting point in any direction. Very good breakfast, clean room, comfortable modern equipment, the problem is that he is very small and crowded, there was no place to put the bags. No Wireless Internet in the room just in the Lobby. The internet is relatively expensive.

"par inn Berlin"
polite stuff, clean rooms a bit small great location
"Realistic Expectations"
This is very well located, most trams, buses and even a train converge within two blocks. The hotels has fast internet access for a charge through a cable modem already installed in the rooms by the phone and in the loby there is wi-fi for a charge as well not cheap. The concierge are professional and very well informed on what to do and a famous restaurant […] called Spagos where people from outside go to have drinks as it's somewhat popular. Location very centric and walking from a lot but if you like a trendier area you can look for a hotel near the entrance of the Zoo Garden by the famous Kufurdustam street also know as Kudam Street where the best restaurants and shops are, also walking from Kudam street is the famous KDW department store with it's deli and food section that put Harrods to shame. "Hot summer in Berlin"
I visited Berlin when it was around 35 degrees Celsius and it was important for me to get a room with air condition. Location was also important. Park Inn was a good choice regarding both. The rooms were a bit small, but that was OK, as we didn't spend too much time in the hotel. It is an old east German hotel and I must say it is nicely maintained. […] And very clean! Read more
"Park Inn - Alexanderplatz - Berlin"
This hotel was absolutely at the centre of the action, and most things we wanted to see were close by. The train and buses run right through Alexanderplatz as it is in fact a transportation hub. The hotel was clean and convenient. We didn't use many hotel services as our priority is always the cleanliness of the beds and bathroom and comfort of the […] beds. Both were excellent and we had a good sleep the entire stay. The walls are thin, so we could hear our neighbours talking in their normal voices and that did wake us up, but it wasn't a major inconvenience. We could open the windows to get some fresh air which is also nice, and the room was quiet, apart from the thin-wall problem. All in all, a clean and comfortable room, right in the centre of the action. Very easy to get transportation to and from the hotel to various sites, including the airport (Tegel). Read more

This is the first time I ever stayed in a hotel room that didn't have a real bathroom. The shower and toilet were separated from the rest of the room by a compartment that had frosted glass and one door accommodated both, swinging one way or the other. The sink is in the room very close to the beds; if one of us uses it in the middle of the night, […] it is very likely to wake up the other one. Read more

"Very good hotel"
I normally never stay at large hotels like this, but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel, although built by the communists in East Berlin back in 1969, has been totally renovated. It is very modern and comfortable. I had a lot of business meetings in this part of Berlin known as the Mitte and it was a perfect location. Plus, if you are a tourist, […] you are within walking distance to almost all of the big historical sites in Berlin. I will stay here the next time I am in in Berlin. Read more
"Good"
My Stay in the Park Inn Berlin-Alexanderplatz was good and I will see in future if i can choose this hotel for a stay in Berlin. But one i like was the view of the city from Park Inn. Nice View

"some notes"
First some cons: the room was a little bit smaller than expected. It was a challenge to deal with 2 suitcases for 2 people. Their advertised heating floor was actually only half heated around the batch tub leaving half of the floor cold. There is only a curtain separating a room from a bath tub. Only half of the bathtub is surrounded by glass walls, […] leaving half of the bath tub open that caused some water leakage on the floor when shower is taken. On another hand the hotel location is great, and really close (max walking distance 20 min) to many sightseeing attractions. The included breakfast is also very good, offers a lot of varieties to satisfy different tastes. Overall I would recommend this hotel for staying in Berlin, and most likely will consider it for next time stay. Not negative nor positive things to know: a room is not equipped with iron/iron board or coffee maker. Read more
"tall isn't everything"
1. Park Inn Berlin Alexanderplatz occupies a pre-reunification high-rise hotel. The rooms are VERY SMALL, and have a worn, eastern bloc feel, despite 4-star status. On entering the room, we noted a sewer-y smell in the bathroom, sufficient to request a room change. 2. Reception desk is understaffed for the number of guests, therefore always a queue […] to wait on. Same for concierge. 3. Alexanderplatz is busy but far from scenic, frankly couldn't see why it is recommended as a base of operations. What I'm really trying to say is this: this hotel is merely adequate, in a lackluster way. While it is true that the high floors provide a view, this doesn't justify a 4-star price, and I would recommend instead a hotel in the West Berlin part of town. If you do stay in the East, choose a hotel constructed post-reunification, the more recent the better. Read more

"Great Location"
This hotel has a great location, the room was spotless and very comfortable. Staff was very helpful and the bar is nice. Skip the weekend brunch--the place was a zoo with all the tour groups and it was hard to get a table. We would definitely stay there again.
"Great hotel !"
Judging by the exterior veneer, you might be misled into believing that Park Inn might be a mass hotel for the budget traveler. Far from it. Clean and modern rooms with astonishing views over East Berlin.
"cute small rooms"
nicely located hotel, but with such a small room that it was tough to do daily push-ups! Breakfasts were good, though.
"Great Centrally Located Hotel"
The hotel sits on one edge of Alexanderplatz in what was East Berlin. Good nearby access to metro and restaurants.
"Nice hotel"
Clean, modern hotel in a great location.
"Nice Hotel - few issues."
Nice enough hotel, bathroom is definatley designed for Single people. Myself and partner had problems sleeping on the bed, although they supplied extra pillows when asked. Did not try the breakfast, your in walking distance of everything so no need. Have to agree with other people, you had to wait 10-15 minutes to check in, which is a shame because […] they just need a few more people on reception. For the price and location its worth it all, would stay there again but maybe only for a short stay. Hint, get the RED Airport express train, dont take directions from train staff 5 times they told us the wrong platform/train. You can also jump off the hotel for a price :P good to watch but didnt try it. Read more
"Park Inn Alexander Platz Berlin Germany"
Overall not a bad hotel - a somewhat smallish room, the size of which precludes a traditional separate bathroom (it wasn't tiny, just not big enough for a separate bathroom). The room is therefore somewhat spoiled by the ensuite arrangements - separate but adjacent toilet and shower cubicles of semi frosted glass each with an open top, a handbasin […] in the room itself. Thus if you use the toilet in the middle of the night you have no choice but to turn on the room lights thereby disturbing whoever you're sharing a room with..The ground floor lounge bar is quite nice but rather boring - not that many people used it whilst I was there.Prices are reasonable (€3.50 for 0.4 litre Pilsener on draught) considering that you're a fairly captive audience; the wide screen tv was on but without sound The help yourself, all you can eat, buffet breakfast in the large second floor Humboldt restaurant was €18 (about £15.60) per person - the selection was good - hot and cold items, fruit, cereals, breads, etc - pretty much everything you would expect to find - and are proper chefs on hand front of house to cater for special requests - including toast. Everything was in a good state of repair and clean - reception, public spaces, lifts and rooms. At the time of my stay there was some noise of jack hammers from the construction site next door, starting around 8 a.m. weekdays Read more
"Excellent location"
Close to all kinds of transportation: airport express buses, subways, local trains, city buses, etc. Next to a department store which has very good food section. Not particularly spacious but decent rooms.
"Nice Style"
The hotel is located just in front of a Train/Metro Station in one side of Berlins City Center. I like the style however I was a little bit dissapointed that my room did not had a view so if you are interested in this just clarify it before.
"a bit dirty"
I feel a bit dirty on carpet, have a lot of dust. especially under the desk. I think lack of vacuum clean. Actually when I stay at hotel have a lot of dust in the room, I will sneeze all night.
"Okay for a night"
Check in was fast and courteous. Room was small and basic with shower and toilet enclosed in glass cubicles inside the room. It was very near the station which was handy.
"No Proper Bathroom"
This hotel is lovely by all means, clean, modern, with plenty of staff to help you out. But when we arrived, we were totally confused to see our supposed 'bathroom'- which was part of the room, and only concealable by a curtain on a rail. The toilet also had frosted glass for 'walls'. Unless your a couple, or have no particular issues with privacy, […] this wont bother you. When we complained, the guy at the reception was sononchalant , and didn't understand our frustration. However, they offered us another room- it was bigger but slightly worse in comparison- the bathroom was all one unit, but was only concealed via again, frosted glass and clear glass. Basically you would see everything that person was doing. If privacy is no big deal for you, this hotel will be fine, but if like a lot of people, you like your bathroom to have four proper walls and a door, well you might want to reconsider your choice! Hotels.com were very helpful over the phone, but it was too late in the day to change our booking. On a positive note, we had a great time in Berlin! and the location of the Park Inn is so good. Otherwise, it was just the bizarre bathroom situation that totally took us off guard, it reminded me of a hostel to be honest. Clearly at some point during building someone suggested they use thin floating partition glass walls instead of ordinary walls to save a few quid and they all thought it was a great idea!! Read more

"Not bad but service a let-down"
This is a nice hotel in a great location but the service badly lets the hotel down. It took us half an hour to check-in because the queues were so big and then only to get to our room to discover it was a double and not a twin like we asked for. We were in a group of 14 and this was the same problem for all of the other travellers in our party. The […] room was well appointed and clean but who ever suggested the see through bathroom walls needs a re-think. Even if I was with my partner, I would not wish to see her sitting on the toilet. Did not try breakfast however service in the Spagos bar for dinner was slow and servers were uninterested. I would however recommend this hotel to others due to it's great location Read more
"Had a really enjoyable stay"
I spent five nights here and enjoyed every minute of it. It is spotlessly clean, very comfortable and in a great location for sightseeing and getting around the city. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout and every effort was made to make sure my stay was as pleasant as possible. I know not everyone is impressed by the open bathroom arrangement […] in the bedrooms but as a solo traveller that didn't concern me at all. Judging by the amount of people that were constantly arriving at the hotel it must be one of the most popular places in Berlin. If I had to make one complaint it would be about the three-euro charge to use the top-floor observation area. I think it should be free for guests. Nevertheless I had a great stay here and will definitely stay here again when I return to Berlin, which I will as it's a great place. Read more
