This hotel needs a major renovation, I was booked for three nights but checked out after the first night. I specifically asked for a renovated room. It probably had new head board and dresser, but that was it. Shower would not drain and was filthy. The entire hotel was very out dated. The bar, I could not entertain clients in. Then a male employee banged […] on my door in the middle of the night asking if I was okay and insisted I open the door, which I did not do. When I asked to check out and be refunded the next day the were very, very nice about it, offered a suite...but I just asked to be refunded. Which I had to do via hotels. com...and they obliged. Go next door to the Hilton Garden Suites, for a few dollars more you will get a clean, safe nights sleep. Read more

The hotel was decent enough considering the price and location. Nothing fancy but clean. The neat part was that Harolds Deli is attached and they have deals for hotel guests. Great for lunch or dinner especially after a long day when all you want is food ready for you that tastes amazing.

Old hotel in the middle of a dirty lot. The room was old and it had a dirty feel. To top it off they were clearing a lot next to the hotel so at 6am construction vehicles made sure to wake up anyone that managed to fall asleep on the worn out coiled mattress. once you pass the front desk this place is a dump. the carpets are stained. the wallpaper is peeling. the double rooms consist of 2 full size beds, not Queens like other hotels. housekeeping only left of 1 washcloth every night we were to go to the front desk to get washcloth but when the housekeeping came they took the extra washcloth and only left […] one for 3 nights. in room entertainment consist of a 27 inch TV no it's not an LCD and the remote control did not work. the nightstand was broken and simply should not be in a guest room. I have pictures to prove all of this. local restaurants consist of a pizza joint that never answer the phone, and a diner that is attached that sells sandwiches for 25 dollars. To top it all off. There was an issue with my reservation, when approached the young lady at the front desk i was met with nothing but attitude. she even tried to hide the documents concerning my reservations from me. I then told her to locate the documents because I already knew about them and I was not going to speak to her until she had them. she offered to extend my stay at a higher rate than i was currently paying and a rate that was $20 more per night than i had heard them offer other potential customers as well as walk-ins. because I have relied on hotels.com for years to provide quality information I had to leave a review this is the most misrepresented hotel ever. The woman at the front desk was very helpful. The room, and everywhere else, was very clean. The remote on the TV wasn't the swiftest--we should all have such problems. Generally clean, but we had several small issues that made our stay more uncomfortable than it needed to be. The in-room wireless internet did not work. The room did not have enough towels for two people. The on-site food options were ridiculous. I'm not sure why a simple deli sandwich should cost $16, but someone thought it was. I was very disappointed! The faucet in the bathroom sink, did not turn on and off correctly so I had to continually wiggle the faucet to get the water to turn off. The faucet in the shower did not work correctly; the water would not go all go to the showerhead but instead half of the water ran as if you were filling the bathtub and the other half of […] water went to the showerhead so water accumulated in tub while trying to shower. The A/C unit was very noisy every time it would click on and off. Only two bath towels per day and all of them had shreds on them. Parts of the room had recently been refinished and it was nice to see fresh caulk and clean tile and grout in the bathroom. A blow dryer with a night light was included. The room also had an iron and ironing board. The elevators failed to respond to a call twice but once onboard they move quickly and are clean and well lit. The maid service was efficient […] but they did not provide a sufficient number of washcloths for 2 guests. The Starbucks machine in the lobby was a nice touch but the side table for it was often out of lids and we had to ask for more. The hotel is apparently a former Holiday Inn, as the guest information book had "Edison Hotel" stickers over the Holiday Inn header. The pages were coffee stained and should be printed fresh with a new logo. The bed was clean, the linens were stain free and in good condition, and were changed every day. The room air conditioner worked well and kept things cool despite outdoor temps in the 90's. The 2 air conditioners intended to keep the 8th floor hall cool did not work, but this didn't have a significant negative effect on us. Read more
