Very clean and comfortable. In an excellent location. Easy walk to the waterfront. The only reason I didn't give the motel all 5's are that the walls are very thin and so is the continental breakfast.

Walking distance to embarcadero and downtown area. Personnel at motel could not be nicer and more helpful. Grounds decorated nicely and rooms very comfortable and clean. Good espresso at The Rock just two blocks away. Morro Bay is a wonderful destination and the Sandpiper Inn is an affordable and pleasant place to stay.

Hemmer was always there to help with any question that came up. We were very happy with our stay here. It is not the Hyatt and you should not expect those amenities. The room was clean, the staff was very nice and we had a good time there. The weather was cold. They could not do much about that.

The motel was decent and a value at the price we paid per night. The room was okay if you plan on just using it as a place to sleep. The continental breakfast was store bought pastries and did not start early enough if you have morning plans. The location was convienent to downtown Morro Bay and blocks away from the Embarcadero.

The hotel was nice for an overnight stay. I would stay here again no problem. Only downsides were no ice (machine not working) and the breakfast was just orange drink (not real orange juice) and corn flakes or cheerios only. No big deal though.

The Inn is located right next to the water front and is clean and tidy. The owner/manager of the Inn was very polite and accommodating even as we checked in late at night. For breakfast, he was kind enough to get some English tea from his own kitchen as they didn't have any at the breakfast table.

It was nice but they tried to charge me an extra 30 dollars when I showed up. I showed them my confirmation and they said that didn't cover a 10 dollar extra charge per person. I didn't have the money so they didn't charge us. I thought the price listed would be the only price. I wasn't prepared to pay extra.

My boyfriend, son and I stayed Thursday and Friday nights. It is a modest little motel, but an excellent value for the money. We didn't get in until almost 1am, as we made the drive from San Francisco after both of us were off of work. Priscilla, the manager went home at nine, but was really awesome and left the key in an envelope with my name on it. […] She and the housekeeper were super sweet and welcoming. The hotel is two blocks away from the little downtown area and about three from the Embarcadero and that aquarium. I loved that we could walk to go sight see and to get food. Plus, she gave us a map and vouchers that we were able to use for 15% off some of our meals. Oh, and the room had a mini refrigerator, which made or life much easier. We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while we were in town for a wedding in San Luis Obispo. We were a good 20 minutes away from SLO, but we had friends who were staying in SLO who came out to visit and everyone agreed our location was MUCH better. All the rooms look out to the ocean and The Rock, so that was nice. You open your hotel room door and […] can just smell the beach. We walked EVERYWHERE when we were in town - which was super nice. The walls were thin, so noise has the potential to be an issue, but it seemed that the hotel catered to a bit of an older crowd so it wasn't bad. This motel has been around for a long time but it is well kept up and maintained. Rooms are clear and comfortable. The beds are a bit soft my my taste but all in all the location and price make this a good choice when in the Morro Bay area.

This motel is a few blocks from the downtown area and the embarcaderro (sp?) It's definitely older but in decent shape and the room was clean. When we got there we were asked if we wanted to upgrade our room, which I have no idea to what because they're all basically the same. I asked for a room with good wi-fi reception. It was average. When I returned at the end of the next day, my room was not cleaned. I asked the manager who told me that she had "upgraded" me to the second floor for better wi-fi, but this was extra and so she was not cleaning my room. The front desk woman was extremely rude. I had made an on line reservation for a king bed room. On our way there I called to ask the price to change to two queen beds if we needed to do so. I then told her that we would not be making any changes after all and would stay with the king bed reservation. She asked, annoyingly, how much longer will it be […] before we arrive. We checked in around 9:15 p.m. and went straight to our room to find a queen bed. I decided to discuss the error in the morning with her. The next morning I brought my iPad to the front office to ask what happened and request an adjustment. She insisted rudely that when I had phoned the night prior that I had asked to be changed to a queen bed room. I tried to explain the conversation that we had and she cut me off to say that it didn't matter anyway, she couldn't find the reservation on her computer. Though I showed her our reservation on the iPad she continued to say " it doesn't matter anyway". She could see that I wasn't going to argue with her over a few dollars or the principle of who was right. I chose Rodeway Inn because of the unbelievably low price for its location. This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the Embarcadero, restaurants and shops. Check-in was super fast and easy. The front desk manager was very pleasant and gave great recommendations for nearby restaurants and points of interest. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the comfort and condition of the room. Although the furnishings were old and the decor outdated, the room was sparkling clean and very comfortable, with no signs of mold or insects. Cable TV, refridgerator, microwave and free Wi-fi are all included. The walls are a bit thin so during the day you will hear noise from traffic and neighbors, though this posed no problem for sleeping because the town itself is so quiet at night. I could occasionally hear the seals barking in the harbor, which was entertaining. If you are looking to spend time in the beautiful town of Morro Bay, and you're on a budget, I definitely recommend the Rodeway Inn. You simply will not find better accomodations for the price. I was there for a fishing trip, so I didn't need much. I wanted a motel with a fridge for my medications, and someplace to crash the night before and after fishing. The hotel room was clean. However, it smelled like an old hotel. The internet connection was slow, maybe because I was in room #1 - the fartest from the office. Husband and I were only staying in Morro Bay for one night and didn't want to spend a lot of money on a hotel. Most reviews said it was clean (which was the most important thing for us) so we chose this hotel. The biggest Problem is, that the room was not clean. There were spider`s web`s on the ceiling, the Window to the backside was very dirty. The WiFi works not good. The Breakfast is served at the reception, sou you have to take it in your room.The choices are OK.
