This was my first time staying at the Georgian Terrace Hotel. I always wanted to stay here, take in a show at the Fox Theater across the street and then hit Churchill Grounds for a night cap and a live jazz band. I wasn't aware if the rooftop pool and 360 view...I'll definitely be back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice place, great location, room a little worn"
This is a really neat hotel in the middle of midtown, across the street from the Fox theater. They upgraded me to a huge suite, with great city views. If I was being picky I would say it's time for some fresh paint and wallpaper in the room I was in, but this was a great value for me and I would absolutely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very comfy beds, Fantastic service"
Staff very friendly and hospitable. Beds are AWESOME!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel. Great location."
The room was cozy and perfect for our weekend birthday celebration. I would definitely recommend.Genuine Expedia guest review
Not a bad hotel. Restaurants in there are fancy and all, but you can't get any real food in there. You are better off going in the city of ATL For that.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My room was too small and seemed outdated. The bed seemed like a full instead of a queen size.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had a great time swimming in the rooftop pool, picnicing while enjoying the amazing skyline at night and spreading out in our spacious suite!Genuine Expedia guest review
The rooftop picnic we had for my daughter's birthday was magical! The views are spectacular, the pool fabulous and we walked to a nearby eatery to pick up food for our feast!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A classic, historical hotel"
My last visit was my third and should I find myself in Atlanta again, I will certainly stay here. Because of the number of parties arriving, the lobby was quite crowded, therefore, we were up-graded to a two bedroom suite. I can't say enough about this great place. I have always recommended it to my friends and others.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, staff, space. Very worn out."
We arrived around 9:30 pm with a toddler in need of sleep to a suite with a poorly functioning air conditioner. For a San Francisco family, we needed to have a temp below 75 to sleep. A repairman was unable to fix the problem, but quickly arranged for us to switch rooms and even helped with our bags. Plus, the front desk upgraded us to a 2 bedroom suite […] (from a 1 bedroom we'd booked.) The suites are spacious, but very worn. For a family with a toddler, that's almost a bonus as we didn't need to worry about him doing any damage, but the furniture and finishes are all really worn out. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Must Stay for Fox Theater Events"
Our stay was great! Perfect for Fox Theater Events and close to some great places to eat. I highly recommend the Georgian Terrace. The staff were knowledgeable about the area and the suite was the perfect size for four adults. I will definitely stay here again the next time I come to Atlanta for a show.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Amazing venue! I would totally come back here."
Great place, absolutely beautiful with a lot of history. Very close to the Marta subway to get to and from airport. Noise level typical city noise.Genuine Expedia guest review
I reserved a standard room and Expedia upgraded me to a 2 bed/2bath suite. Great. This room had a living room, kitchen, washer and dryer, 2 bedrooms and 2 large bathrooms. This would have been great if I had a larger party but it was just me. The room was adorned very well but needed some repairs. The sink in the master bath did not drain and there […] were a few bath repairs that were needed regarding the flooring and some wall and painting repairs could have been done. The kitchen appliances and counters were very dated. When I travel I enjoy being able to relax with television however the hotel satellite selections were primarily geared towards sports. No HGTV, Bravo, etc here. Had breakfast downstairs in hotel restaurant. No toast available as staff had put toaster away as it was close to closing down breakfast. Waiter gave me croissants and biscuits as replacements and then charged me for them. Breakfast was just ok. Would most likely dine elsewhere in the future. Overall, it was still a beautiful hotel but would probably wait for a reno before staying again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Greatest deal in Atlanta! Great location!"
Wonderful hotel and staff, very impressive! They do charge a $75.00 security fee but did give it back very quickly. Very clean, great location, & supreme service!Genuine Expedia guest review
The suite had a kitchen as advertised, but there were NO utensils, plates, dinnerware, pots, or pans. What a shock !! How would we have used the kitchen ?? The hotel said I should have gotten the "kitchen package" for $ 25 more. The kitchen package was not mentioned in the room details. So I just took the bacon and eggs back home. What a fraud.Genuine Expedia guest review
The front desk was very helpful and curtious. The suite was spacious and gave us the room we needed. The furniture is dated... The kitchen too but we didn't use it much. The only complaint was the parking... My guest had problems getting in and our of parking deck. My parking card stopped working and has to use a ticket etc... Other than that the stay […] was great. "Beautiful from outside, not so much inside"
The hotel bills itself as a smoke free hotel, but upon opening the door to our 2 bedroom suite, the cigarette smoke smell was overpowering. We spent the night in this suite because they were full and could not move us to a like room, but were moved the next day. The next suite they moved us to was fine as far as cigarette smoke. The rooms left a lot […] to be desired. The beds were very comfortable, but in both rooms on all 3 nights we stayed there, they only left 2 bath towels each day. We had to call each day as we had 4 people staying there. Although there is a kitchen, there is absolutely NOTHING in the kitchen, and again they only left enough coffee for 2 people. I know they did a renovation a few years ago, but the rooms were not in good condition. While the lobby and the exterior of the hotel looked great, the rooms were not in very good condition. The first suite with the smoke was dingy, the lighting in the bathroom was dim, the wallpaper ripped all over the suite, marks all over the walls-looked very old and not well maintained. The second suite was much nicer and in better condition, but the living room furniture was still old. I will say the beds were very comfortable in both suites. The website pictures are deceiving, and the rooms at any Hampton Inn are in better shape. I will not be staying here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice Hotel, with easy access downtown."
Booked through expedia and everything went smoothly except a 75 dollar charge that was sort of a deposit that I was unaware of but was refunded when we checked out. I was also double charged for my night stay(on invoice not card), but they cleared it up with no problems.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice downtown location"
Wonderful!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Never visited this hotel before and never will again. To start, parking at this $200 per night hotel is an additional $25. Upon check in the front desk staff was rude and appeared as if they were not there to be pleasant to the guests. The room it self was below standards for a hotel this pricey. The suite included a kitchenette with no cups, silverware, […] plates, much less a microwave. The furniture and wallpaper are outdated and some furniture scratched up. Checkout time is 11am however my wife and I were awaken at 9:30 and again at 10 by house keeping knocking on our door. Overall, this stay was not worth the cost. The next night we checked in at the doubletree suites. Half the price, twice the quality and a much nicer room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, passed its prime"
I have stayed in many hotels in midtown Atlanta. This hotel was a disappointment. Checked in to the suite with full kitchen. Tired, torn fabric on chairs, broken down cabinets in bathroom. Had to ask for kitchen supplies to be provided (plates, silverware, glasses). Cabinets falling off hinges in kitchen. Bed was queen, not king. Staff was delightful! Coffee […] shop attached to hotel, but you had to exit the hotel,to enter the coffee shop. Overall, too many good choices in Atlanta with better upkeep. Would not recommend. I stayed here with a group of ladies for a bachelorette party. We loved the hotel. We had a huge 2 bedroom suite. Loved It. The bar is perfect! Downtown Atlanta at its best.Genuine Expedia guest review
I reserved the 2 br 2 bath suite on hotels.com and somehow I ended up getting a 2 br 1 bath suite so that was a challenge with 6 girls staying in the room. So I wouldn't recommend reserving the room on this site but to reserve it on the hotel website. Other then that the room was HUGE! Lobby is very nice. It has a restaurant in the hotel. A little pricey […] and there is a rooftop deck with a pool overlooking the city. It was really nice at night with the city lights. It's one of the oldest hotels in Atlanta so it was antique looking and it was really nice. The hotel is in the middle of everything so we were able to walk to places. I ended up paying for valet parking which is $30 a day but I think it's worth it because I didn't have to worry about anything happening to my car. It's nice that they have a full kitchen but they didn't have any find of utensils or cookware which is kind of weird so if you plan on cooking make sure you bring that stuff with you or go buy it. Overall I would definitely stay here again if I were to come to Atlanta again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Watch out for poor service"
Georgian Terrace has a history of being used by celebrities and elites. The hotel is almost in downtown. I was able to walk to my conference at one of the downtown hotels. It is nice to have the comfort of a fully functional kitchen. However, if you are used to of good customer service, you must not take it for granted. I stayed at the hotel for a full […] week (two separate bookings). Except for one manager who accommodated me upon request, other hotel staff acted as if they were doing me a favor. They initially charged me for an extra day of parking and when asked to correct it, the front desk staff gave me a run around with a story like "our accounting is separate and not here; you should contact them on Monday and they should be able to correct the bill". After I asked for a manager, Mr. "Norman" showed up with equally unwelcoming body language. He was able to correct the bill though, without the accounting staff's help. "One night stay"
The hotel is clean and well managed. Our room was spacious and had everything a suite should have. Only complaint is that hotel staff did not extend our checkout time and my spouse had to wait a couple hours in the lobby to be picked up. The area is a bit shady with many homeless people walking around.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Pretty Hotel, good location"
Comfortable rooms, a little small but there was a separate lounge for tea and coffee. Clean and attractive hotel. There was a rooftop pool with a stunning view of the city (even though it was too cold to swim). The location was great, right opposite the Fox Theatre (great if you're seeing a show) and the metro station was really close.Genuine Expedia guest review
Recently stayed here while seeing a show at the Fox. There is no better location. Our room was huge but could use some minor maintenance and updates. I do not recommend the Livingston Resturaunt.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Made my reservation 30 days in advance for a 2 bedroom 1290 sqft room. When we got there the lady at the desk was having a hard time finding a room for me. She said they were over booked. Finally got checked in and walked into the room which turned out to be a 1 bed SMALL room. I was never informed by her that we had been down graded. Went back down […] to the desk and was given a discounted rate as well as free parking for my stay next month. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"My hotel of choice in Atlanta"
I have stayed at The Georgian Terrace Hotel on many occasions and have always enjoyed my stay. The building is awesome, the location is perfect for me and the amenities are nice. Always comfortable and luxurious, from a petite room all the way to the 2 bedroom suite. The service is always friendly and professional. Parking can be a bit annoying, depending […] on local festivities, but there is always the option of valet parking! I love The Georgian Terrace and look forward to my next stay! "Across from the Fox-so convenient"
Nice hotel with wonderful staff. It is so convenient to the Fox theater, across the street. Really the only negative was that the room needed to be updated, like new wallpaper/paint and ceiling had lots of watermarks. Don't let this distract you from a great place to stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Wonderful girls weekend to take in the Lion King at the Fox Theatre. The Georgian Terrace was the perfect location for our trip! The two-bed, two-bath suite is HUGE. Would definitely stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Anniversary foiled by banging and alarms"
All I want is a night away, nice dinner and to SLEEP IN. Startled awake by the sound of loud KLANG KLANG KLANG KLANG KLANG... ... ... ... KLANG KLANG KLANG KLANG KLANG.... even with earplugs there was no going back to sleep. Called the front desk. They were polite but explained that the noise was construction not a maniac outside our window with a hammer […] or pots and pans. Then, the smoke alarm begins. seriously? Am I on candid camera? Is this some maniacal conspiracy to foil our anniversary get-away? We hastily gathered our stuff and escaped while both shrieking alarm and relentless metallic banging persisted wondering what else I could have used the significant cost of the hotel room for instead. BTW, I know watching TV shouldn't be a priority in such a great place but one HD HBO channel and nothing on demand seems a little chintzy in this day and age for the price of the room which, did I mention, was significant. That said the place was beautiful with a great roof-top view and a perfect location. Beautiful place, bad luck. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"The Georgian Terrace Hotel"
The hotel is visually appealing, I was attending a conference at the World Congress Center and this hotel is over 1.5 miles for the WCC and you have to take a cab. There are no restaurants near the hotel except for the ones in the hotel. The room was exceptional, very large, 2 closets and 1 walk-in closet. The bathroom has a tiled shower which was well […] maintained. The downfall of this hotel is that I was told there would be a shuttle to the WCC when I checked in but come the morning no one knew anything about this and the concierge doesn't work or wasn't coming in on Monday or Tuesday and no one else knew anything about a shuttle or a driver. How can a "concierge" not be present when a conference is in town? Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"No Hot Water!"
Received notice at check-in that i was "upgraded" to a suite because all the other rooms were booked. Cool! Two bedrooms and washer and dryer and large bathroom for one person -- very nice. But after working out at the gym, I tried to take a shower before dinner and there was no hot water. Reported the situation to the front desk. Hotel employee came […] to the room and made some adjustments on the breaker panel and said it was fixed. The next morning i tried taking a shower and there was NO HOT WATER! Reported the situation to the front desk upon check-out. I am not a demanding person. All i want from a hotel is a bed and running HOT water to take a shower. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Flawless. Friendly staff and fast service. Parking is too expensive though.Genuine Expedia guest review
i will NEVER stay here again; I will NEVER recommend this hotel, there are too many issues to describe from it only having TWO small elevators, meaning a 10 minute wait is typical to get to your room, to the parking situation which is beyond horrible -- it is always crowded and the staff overwhelmed because the hotel solicits parking from the FOX theater […] across the street. so there is either NO parking for guests, or a huge line to get in. Plus the system was broken all three days i was there; I was given FOUR parking cards by the front desk to use and NONE of them worked; i was delayed every time i tried to leave the hotel. One time all three people ahead of me had the same non-working card problem. The staff told me checkout was 11; the book in the room says checkout is NOON; i was hustled out early to a good deal of aggravation and inconvenience. i was there for a GRE Review class-- the staff had NO idea the event was scheduled, has no computer lists, and had to dig into a manual printed binder to find it and it took them15 minutes to find the booking and direct me to a room. AND the hotel had NO record of my reservation until i produced the confirm number. the restaurant has a MINIMAL selection of 5 entrees, none especially interesting; and on Sat and Sun lunch you HAVE to eat the very overpriced buffet, there is no option for a menu. With the parking situation making it so hard to come and go, one is basically trapped in this hotel Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We had two reservations, one for one night , one for two nights, and there was a problem with one of them. so they gave us a Penthouse for two nights. It was really nice!
