We chose this hotel because we were driving at night to the Fla Keys and need a place to stop for the night Hotel is older and in dire need of updating but was clean, comfortable and certainly convenient, right on Route 1. Can't beat the price and Starbucks right up the street. I would stay here again for a night under the same circumstances but would not choose this hotel for any other reason as I prefer more luxurious accommodations when vacationing.
Overall Rating
out of value="5"We thank you for your kind words and also for the constructive negatives as you see them. We will be the first ones to admit that we are not a luxury brand. One just cannot be anywhere in today's environment: you are either at the luxury end or the extreme-value-extreme end. which is what we aim to be at! We are a limited service hotel with basic rooms and amenities. Where we try and differentiate ourselves from contemporaries is in the service environment, the ambiance, the curb appeal, cleanliness and building customer relationships. We try and treat guests like they are our guests at home, and to provide them with a positive experience. We do not shy away from costly improvements and are continuously improving and try and pay as much attention to detail as possible. We thank you for staying with us and hope to see you again soon, even if it is just for a night and for letting us know where we lack so that we can make further improvements.

We are sorry to note that you arrived late, but will be quick to point out, for the benefit of others that all our rooms are the same size. We do however offer 4 distinct types of rooms. As for the noisy neighbors, we will admit we get into these situations now and again, but this could easily have been resolved had you called the front desk and informed us about it. We always have 2 sales associates at the front desk and also have a night security person who patrols at night in a golf cart. We thank you for staying with us and hope to see you again soon.

Upon entering the room, everything appeared to be clean and tidy. We slept well and waited until morning to shower. I was disgusted as I opened the shower curtain and found used soap (with hair!) and the plastic top of a razor. Gross! I then found a smashed bug on the bath mat and hair on the drinking cups (foam, with no plastic cover). As we were packing to leave, I noticed a fast food bag under the bed. Obviously, housekeeping only cleaned the beds, the carpet around the beds and replaced the towels. Front desk clerks were apologetic (mgr. was away on a "conference") but offered nothing else. I was really surprised after reading all of the glowing reviews...

out of value="5"We note with deep regret your comments and understand your disgust. This sort of situation seldom occurs, but it did. No excuses, but have hired a new housekeeper. We allocate about 10 rooms per housekeeper and the process we follow is to completely clean one room at a time. The new House keeper took it upon herself to first do the beds of all the rooms she had been allocated and then go back and complete cleaning the rooms. We believe this is what led her to miss this particular room. This is purely a human error. Given that this is a prepaid booking through hotels.com, unfortunately the desk clerks could not do anything to compensate for your inconvenience. The front desk greeted us with smiles and an offer of popcorn to pop in the room. This hotel was clean, both inside the room and the outside. The outside of the buildings had recently been painted and there was new tile in the rooms. The refrigerator was larger than most hotels and was cold. There was free wi-fi and two computers in the lobby. There were charming outdoor seating areas for relaxing. They had a great breakfast buffet. Fruit, four kinds of cereal, frozen waffles, biscuits, muffins, assorted pastries, microwavable eggs and sausage patties, cheese slices and english muffins, two kinds of juice, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The breakfast buffet made the room price a great deal for a family of four traveling on a budget.

Cleanliness and maintenance were the downfalls of this hotel. It's location is quite far from town. It was quiet though and the Bar & Grill appears to be ok.

This is an excellent value for a South Florida stay. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. The beds are comfortable and the rooms well appointed. We found this a great stop over before entering the Keys! BK from NY

We stayed at the Travelodge before going down to Key West and I was very pleased with the cleanliness and extra effort in decorating there. They had free internet also. I would not hestitate using the hotel again.

We used this motel as our "base camp" to visit the southeastern sections of the Everglades. We found the rooms clean and comfortable. Our drive to the Everglades was short, scenic, and pleasant.

This is a lovely, extremely well kept, inexpensive little motel. Everything here was immaculate and you can tell that the owner takes great pride in his place. This is an older motel but has been updated extensively. Even has flat panel screen TV in the room. Better than average continental breakfast but also has discount at the Denny's next door. I would reccomend this place to anyone and it is an outstanding value for the dollar

The room was comfortable and the grounds were well-kept. The front desk people were very nice and competent. However, there are problems with the security of the hotel and the surrounding area. There were a couple of bums sleeping in the McDonald's parking lot about 50 feet from our first floor room. At 11pm, a few guys checked in to the room next door and sat in the chairs in front of our window and very loudly boasted about their criminal history till about 1:30am. I grew up in a rough town, but there was a point around 12:30am when my wife and I wanted to check out and go somewhere else but were afraid to leave the room carrying our belongings. Nice staff and clean room, just don't sleep here after dark.

The room was clean and spacious. The location was great for driving down to the keys, or up to Miami. A gator farm with air boat rides and an outstanding produce stand called "Roberts' was less than a half hour away. Anything you need including fresh seafood across the street is in a short driving distance. Friendly atmosphere. The staff met all of our needs except they ran out of laundry detergent. Less than a ten minute drive to Walmart though. I just wish there was a sleep timer on the t.v.
