"Nice hotel but expensive"
Wife and I plus daughter and friend stayed for Saturday night. Room was comfortable but slightly cramped with 4 adults. Facilities were adequate, small pool (heated) good jacuzzi but limited dining and bar - slightly dated. Otherwise this was the most expensive hotel we have stayed in during our 10 days touring California and the extra cost was not […] warranted. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great Dog Friendly Spot"
We decided to take our new puppy on vacation with us to Sonoma and found the Fountaingrove Inn by searching for hotels that allowed pets. Much to our delight, not only did they allow our him to tag along...the staff are avid animal lovers. Chris, the concierge, had a list of dog-friendly wineries and restaurants waiting for us upon arrival and was overjoyed […] to meet our puppy, Juno. He mapped out a perfect weekend for us that included wine-tasting, fantastic dinners and even a day of pet-sitting. We could not have asked for a better experience or a more gracious host. We will definitely return on our next "family" vacation...maybe even later this year! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient and Comfortable Lodging"
We found this inn a very good location for easy on and off the highway and convenient to all points in Santa Rosa and the wine country. The staff provided excellent guidance and the room was very clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the pool and hot tub in the cool evening.Genuine Expedia guest review
The Fountaingrove Inn was one of our stays after a wedding in Napa. We decided to go over to Sonoma and wanted to tour that area. The Fountaingrove Inn was a lovely place in which to retire each evening after yet another beautiful day in California. The room was very clean, modern and restful. The bathroom was spacious and spotless. I would recommend […] this hotel to anyone coming to the Santa Rosa or Sonoma area. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was fine but WI-FI did not work in the room at any time and was completely out during the second day of our stay. Also, the shampoo was very harsh (like dish soap), not the Aveda products advertised on their web-site. "Very clean room in an excellent location"
This is an older hotel, but in very good condition, and quite a good value. The rooms are extremely clean, and recently updated. Although, the recent upgrades are of an older style, so they make the hotel seem a bit dated. The Keurig machine in the bathroom is a nice touch. The TV is a little small. Good amount of storage in the room, and good lighting […] in the bathroom. There is no elevator, which may be an issue for some guests. The hotel was very quiet even though it is right off the highway. We did not use any of the hotel facilities except the business center and internet. Both worked well. I would definitely consider this hotel again if staying in the area, depending on the cost. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location for visiting Sonoma Wineries"
Just stayed here for 1 week. Excellent in all respects. The place seems recently renovated, bathroom was new and spotless. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The wine concierge helped up with winery selections and visits to other points on interest. We used the hot tub, pool, and exercise room and everything was clean and in good working […] order. The restaurant Equus was a pleasant surprise - the food was very good, and they offered small plate meals for reasonable prices. Nice breakfast buffet too. If you use a GPS and approach from the South, you will need to pass the hotel and make a U turn at the next light to get into the parking lot. This was confusing the first time. "A central nest for seeing northern Calif"
The Fountain Grove Inn proved to be an excellent and comfortable facility from which to see the northern California wine country, the northern coast and parks and sites of interest. The staff was attentive and seeking to be accommodating at every turn without being intrusive. It is quiet, yet located with easy access to highways for mobility.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nothing to write home about."
Touring the area visiting family, friends and seeing the sights. The Inn's location is well situated near the freeway which was a plus. The rooms were spacious, and very clean although a bit tired. The water pressure was terrible and the tub didn't drain very well. The in-room WIFI was non-existent, we could log-on but was constantly dropped due to […] reception. The rest of the facility was very worn and somewhat dirty. The staff was very polite although our complaints were not addressed. We didn't use any of the other facilities. For 150+ a night in Santa Rosa we expected more. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable and quiet."
Pleasant stay. Comfortable bed, quiet in general but able to hear neighbors occasionally. Large room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Solid place to stay"
The room was elegant, clean, and spacious. We had no problems with hotel service, and the receptionist was incredibly helpful when we had questions. Check out was smooth and easy. My only complaint is that there was a lot of hallway noise that filtered into our room. They could probably do a better job soundproofing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"best hotel for pet friendly"
this was the cleanest pet friendly hotel i have ever stayed in. The room was spacious and super clean. The hotel sataff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were super comfortable with huge fluffy pillows. The location is great for easy access in and out and seeing the sites. A real bargain for pet friendly hotel guests.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice older hotel"
I was really impressed when I drove up. Then I went inside. The staff at the desk were not very attentive. The were in the middle of a personal type conversation when I walked up and made me feel that I had caught them doing something wrong, because when the girl saw me she put her hand up to the two guys and started tapping away at her computer. She […] didn't greet me at all. The guy that checked me in was nice and helped me select an appropriate room; I was traveling alone and I had two racks of clothing with me (I sell women's designer fashions). I told him I had the two racks and he never asked if I needed help with them or my luggage. :( When I did bring the racks in, no one offered to help me with the door, which is not automatic. When I signed in I was asked to initial a box that stated I agreed to their "No Smoking Policy". I told the guy (sorry, but I can't call him a gentleman) thank goodness, I'm allergic to cigarettes. When I got in my room it was very musty and humid, so I turned on the air and headed out to my appointment. When I got back my room reeked of cigarettes, it must be in their ventilation/AC. Gross! I turned off the air and it finally dissipated. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Clean quiet room with great restaurant (EQUS) attached in great locationGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was clean and well appointed, but old TV with no HD. Restaurant was a horror for both dinner and breakfast. Really - considering this is in the middle of wine country it is a disgrace. I had salmon for dinner and it was a tiny piece resting on some lentils which included artichoke leaves. Desert was a pretty terrible creme brulee without the […] proper brulee topped by a couple of raspberries and a blackberry. For breakfast, the eggs were served up with unripe fruit on the plate. Great Experience hotel staff friendly and rooms clean.Genuine Expedia guest review
This place is truly a 4-star hotel. The rooms are large and quite comfortable. The tv is a bit small for the room's size but the hotel offers a great workout facility, pool, and jacuzzi.Genuine Expedia guest review
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful hotel, which was our base for exploring nearby wine country. In this respect, it was great value. The outdoor pool and spa were lovely and the restaurant delicious if a little pricey (for breakfast). Our rooms were clean and comfortable, especially the soft pillows and duvets. Nice hotel with good restaurant on premises. He pool is adequate, as is the gym. Only real complaint is hat wireless just doesn't work in guest rooms. They tried unsuccessfully to help me, and I saw other guests using their lap tops in the lobby. "Clean, serviceable, satisfactory"
We stay here one night so our experience was limited. I would give the hotel a solid satisfactory rating. Nothing significant to ding them over and nothing noteworthy to praise them for. The rate to value was about average for the area. We would stay there again at the right price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Always a nice place to stay"
My husband and I have stayed here over the years and it works out for us very well. We travel with 2 small dogs and The Fountain Grove is dog friendly. They are conveniently located to everything and they offer a nice Happy Hour. We were a little disappointed in the property maintenance on this visit. The designated "doggie area" has been overlooked […] and there were no bags and the dispenser was filled with trash. Our room was nice, but the remote for the TV only worked if you were standing right in front of TV. A little convenient. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to relative and church we attend."
The hotel is lovely and well maintained, with a nice pool, spa and surrounding area. We got an excellent rate because we prepaid and stayed 4 nights. We have met friendlier staff but they wern't rude or anything. On our last night they did not leave us any bathroom items ie shampp, lotion, etc.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel and conveniently located"
It was a nice hotel and very affordable. Close enough to the wineries without having to pay a fortune. We stayed for 2 nights. We were out all day and returned between 9:30 and 10:30 both nights and the hotel seemed very quiet for the rest of the night. The staff was very nice and even offered us tasting passes to some of the wineries. We went to the […] restaurant for breakfast and it was nice. It wasn't crowded at all and the food came out very quick. Pricing was very reasonable as well. The room was nice but not as nice as the room we had when we stayed here about a year and a half ago. We had a little bit of a bigger room with a chaise lounge before. The room we had this time didn't have a chaise and seemed a bit smaller. On a minor note, there was also a sock left behind in the closet from a previous guest. Overall a nice hotel and I'd probably stay again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good location in Santa Rosa"
We used this as home base to do many activities in Sonoma Valley (winery visits, hot air balloon ride, visit redwoods at Armstrong Woods) and so did not use the hotel facilities much. Staff was very helpful. I can't complain about anything. The hotel was located very close to all of the activities we had planned. There was a concierge to help with planning, […] but we had all of our activities lined up before our arrival. Restaurant was good for breakfast. Our room had a sleeping area (with TV) and separate TV, sitting area, plus an extra sink with refrigerator and possible bar area. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Overpriced outdated hotel. Service was good but not great. Lack of electrical outlets, one not working and a tiny refrigerator. We payed around $140 for one night, I wouldn't suggest anything over $100 for what it is.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

This hotel was nice, but not spectacular. Coming from the Midwest to California, I thought it was maybe a little overpriced for what we got, but not terribly so. The only thing that was weird was my sister wanted breakfast room service, so she put the menu on the door that night and in the morning it was still there. First of all the pool and jacuzzi close really early, so that was a bit of a disappointment and also my t.v wasnt working and i tried calling the front desk a couple times so i decided to walk there and when i got to the front desk the lady said there was nothing she can do about it because no one was there; therefore, i was told "id have to wait till […] morning for someone to look at it and i was only there for one night so that did me absolutely no good. "Distinctively Great Customer Service"
Nature of customer service was noticeably better than the 6 other hotels we stayed at on this same trip. Desk staff was amazing at 100% focus on the one person they were interacting with at the desk - they didn't rush the person before me when I was waiting and they didn't rush me when another was waiting after me. The only disappointment was a cigar-smoker […] at the pool/spa area - which is allowed by the hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
