While it is not on the beach, the hotel is in a nice locaiton that is convienent to food, shops and entertainment. I would recommend it if you are going to the Ft Walton area.

Stayed here for a long weekend getaway (5 days) with the hubby. The room is just as pictured online. We really enjoyed ourselves. Very quiet, no little kids that we saw but could have just been the weekend we went. The housekeeping staff was especially accommodating as we usually left late in the afternoon and they still tended to our needs. Internet access not stable; hardwire connections too short. Light in the rooms is deficient. There is only one elevator on one end of the Hotel. The layout ressembles the typical HWY hotel arrangement and is rather impersonal. For a business trip and short stay the hotel is OK but overpriced.

We stayed here to attend a family funeral in Ft Walton Beach. This property was more like a converted motor lodge than your typical Hampton Inn. Room had a very musty odor when checking in and A/C did not correct this (I requested that the A/C and filters be checked for problems - the next night was not as bad). Renovations appeared to be taking place […] in other parts of the Inn, however the dressers we had were very old and cheap quality (No pulls on the drawers and there was not enough space between them to pull drawer out easily. Breakfast was adequate as expected with cereal, outmeal, daily egg dishes, waffles and citrus fruit available. Overall, not the worst, but certainly not worth the rather high rate we paid for this room compared to other major chains in the area. Read more

This hotel was just what we were looking for in overnite stay to attend a family members funeral. AM cont. BK was real good as always at Hampton Inns and had plenty of selections.We never heard any exterior noise so we relaxed very soundly overnite. Hampton Inns always live up to our expectations for comfort at a reasonable price.

This hotel was very nice. The only complaint we had was that the room had an odd odor but was not unbearable. Besides that it was very nice and quiet and was exactly what we needed. We only stayed one night but were satisfied with our stay. However the pool was very tiny so if that is important to you you might want to look somewhere else.

The only problem I had with this stay was the air conditioner would not go low enough. It was comfortable but not cold and I do like a cold room. The carpets were recently steam cleaned and the room smelled fresh. Friendly staff, very helpful. I will definitely use them again.
