Hyatt Place Richmond/Innsbrook - Glen Allen

Great place. Nice, large, comfortable rooms, that look brand new. Large HDTV in room, wireless internet, nice bathroom, good desk/work area, comfortable bed. I would stay there again.

The hotel was clean and the room was fine. My main complaint is with the staff. I booked a room for 6 people. The room had two double beds and a sofa bed. When we asked for a blanket for the sofa bed, the desk clerk rather rudely replied that they did not supply blankets for sofa beds. She did not apologize for the inconvenience and acted like we were […] inconveniencing her by calling. My family arrived Friday night 4/13 for a 3 day stay for Kings Dominion to a rather cranky and stressed out front desk clerk. As we started to check in she asked how many keys we would need to our room. I replied 3 would probably be sufficient and then she stated that she would start me out with two and see how that would work out for me. Well, if you […] are going to do that then why even ask how many key would we need. Once we got checked into our room my wife asked if I would go to the front desk and get a few more towels. As i was down at the front desk making this request to a still begrudging and seemed to be over tired clerk who was taking the towel and key control as her up most concern, my wife called my cell and said the toilet would not flush. Wonderful was my first thought because I am sure this concern would go very well with this clerk who was already over my seemly pesky petitions. I told her the situation and the reply was, could I return to the room to verify that this was the case and to be sure that indeed the toilet would not flush. Well, this did not sit well with my mood at this point because I took that as either one of two meanings. One, my wife was just some silly woman who didn't understand the intricate workings of pluming or two, she is just a flat out liar. At this point I told her to please just assign us another room so I could settle in for the night. At this point I think she could see that I was getting as frustrated as she was and assigned us to another room. This was a great place to have a one day vday retreat! The weather was great so we walked over to the strip that is very close to the hotel and had our pick of restaurants but if you don't feel like going out there were some items that looked good on the hotels 24 hour menu also :-) Only problem there was the note posted on the kiosk saying the kitchen […] wasn't open, so I guess that would have been a downfall if we were looking to order in. However, the next morning there was a very nice breakfast selection which we highly enjoyed and loved the fact that it was open until 10 so it gave us a little time to sleep in :-) Overall, we were very satisfied with the service and stay. There is no lighted signage for the hotel and it sits off the road and faces a side parking lot vs. the street - so if you're looking for it at night, you're out of luck. Basically I circled the area and hunted for the address since I couldn't see any hotel (other than the easily visible Marriott right there) and eventually found it by driving aimlessly […] through the parking lot of the 4100 block till I found it. As I was leaving the next morning I saw a small unlit sign facing the wrong direction (there was a wide median in the center of the road so you couldn't easily see it driving in the direction it was facing) that I had missed in the dark. I was in town for Tridium training & could have stayed at a hotel that was closer. I like Hyatt places & I'm glad I decided to stay there. The rooms are great the breakfasts are good. I even ordered a sandwich for dinner & loved it. The only odd thing I can say is they need to run their 120 vac to their lights in conduit. The staff was exceptionable. They were friendly and helpful. There was late night reasonable dining close by and was very accessable to interstate. The best thing however, was that it slept 6 people comfortably.

I've stayed in plenty of Hyatt locations and this locations upholds its claim of Excellence! The price was steal and well worth a little extra drive from where our destination was. We really enjoyed our stay here. The continental breakfast was delicious and even served starbucks coffee and an organic hot tea collection! The rooms were very clean and all offered a huge sectional couch with very comfy beds. Our only complaint was that the TV didn't work. There was mold in the bathroom, especially on the floor between the tiles and around the bottom of the door. Ugh!

My wife and I loved this hotel! It is in a great location. Although there are local restaurants and shopping centers Hyatt Place has just about everything that you need.

I have to say that this is the first time I have ever stepped foot into a Hyatt. That said, I am basing my review on my first and only impression of Hyatt. The photos were acurate. The hotel is very nice and clean. The problem that I had was that it did not seem equiped to handle four people in the room that I had booked. When searching for availability, […] I requested a room for 2 adults and 2 children. My choices were: a room with 2 double beds and a sleeper sofa OR a king bed with a sleeper sofa. I selected the room with the king bed/sleeper sofa. When we arrived, our room did not have enough towels and did not have any pillows for the sleeper sofa. It was not easy to get the extra towels and even more difficult to get the pillows. This was very surprising to me since this type of room was an option for 4 occupants. I understand why the room is set up for 2 travelers but upon check-in, the employee could have provided us with additional towels and pillows. They were aware how many would be staying in the room. Should we stay at this hotel again, I will make sure that we have all the linens and bedding upon check-in. IT was an unpleasant hassle. Read more

Only a one night stay, but the King suite was very comfortable and the complimentary continental breakfast was a bonus.

The place is nice - but on close inspection, there were mysterious spots on the bed & couch. Nasty. The room colors aren't my style, but others might like it. The breakfast included was really nice though. Good price, too.

I would only stay at another hotel when there is no availability at Hyatt Place. Enough said!

The hotel was very nice, loved the set up of the room, sofa and big screen TV. Divided from bedroom. Front desk people were very nice. If I had to anything, weights and mats in work out room would be better. Bar is not a bar it's a cafe.......... But very good for a couple of nights. Thanks

We had a difficult time finding that entrance to the hotel from the street as it was off the main road a bit, but we were very satisfied with the service and accommodations once we got there! Right from the beginning, i have had all bad experiences with this hotel. First night Air condition mad terrible noice and i couldnt sleep the whole night, Next time I woke up with a horrible allergies, sneezing and sneezing.... My room service did not show up until 3 in the afternoon to clean up...even after calling several times...everything went […] wrong...I also notices alot of dog hair in my room and guessed my allergies were because of this. Finally even though I had booked this hotel through hotels.com, they charged me again. i called up the hotel and its 15 days they have not reversed the charge. I got there in time for a late afternoon check-in after making reservations via hotels.com. It took about ten mins standing in line, waiting while someone who walked in off the street took his time about selecting a room. Then I realized, they had no luggage carts. Not a single one to be had, and I had a lot of luggage. The young man at the front desk […] was dismissive of my request that he go find one, so that I could get my things inside. He informed me that they have only two. What? Only two? Then this young man, after telling me to have a "blessed day," watched, while taking a smoking break, while I dropped my freshly cleaned dresses onto the ground out front while I struggled to get things from my car--without a luggage cart. This young man's behavior was enough to RUIN any credibility this hotel might have. This is not an Econo-Lodge. This is a Hyatt property. I was terribly, terribly disappointed. The saving grace were two women who worked there, one a housekeeper who was incredibly sweet about giving me extra toiletries and clean towels the second day I was there. The other was a young woman at the desk who did understand that this is the Hyatt, and who made it a point to ask me if she could do anything for me every time I saw her. Both of these women were in stark contrast to the young man at the desk. The Hyatt probably ought to do something about their staff, if they care about their reputation. The breakfast here was not as good as at other Hyatts where I've stayed, and they did not allow guests to take a few tea bags after breakfast, instead asking that you pay for this. And they had NO black tea the day I asked for that. Even at breakfast, no black tea. The hotel also needs to be renovated. THere are ice machines and vending on the fourth and sixth floors. Of course, the young man who checked me in did not inform me of that, so I found out when I went out, in bare feet, to get ice from my own floor, where I found only an empty vending room. Very nice set up and smart design of room. Great service. Beds are not that comfortable and breakfast could be better. Overall...great stay.

Convenient, friendly staff and nice upgraded rooms with sperate bedroom and sitting area. Free wireless internet... great. Big 52 inch flat screen with HD. Nice place to stay on business and walking distance from bars, restaurants and c-store. Will definitely stay there again.

The only thing that I was not 100% satisfied with was the loudness of the air conditioner unit. It would only kick on every twenty minutes or so, but if you have trouble falling asleep, it was a bit loud. The suite that we were given was very nice. Ample room to stretch out on the couch or work at the desk. Second sink in the room was an added bonus. I had to travel to Richmond for work. I only needed to stay 1 night. The hotel was convenient for my trip. The hotel was great, the employees were great. The only downfall - the breakfast. It was not that great, the coffee had coffee grounds in it and the overall food selection was not that great. Needless to say, I had to get breakfast elsewhere.

Stayed 1 night at this hotel. I lived in the Richmond area before and new the location. I think it's a great access to restaurants and shopping in the West End area. The lobby was beautiful and was greeted upon entering the hotel. The room was HUGE and nice with a comfortable bed. For the price, this hotel was great! Wish I would've spent more then […] 1 night. This hotel looked really nice on the hotels.com website, and I was excited to get there. Upon check-in, there was no one in the lobby except for one attendant at the desk. We checked in using the digital kiosk, and got our keys and went up to the 6th floor. The building itself is very nice, and clean. Lighting is so-so. The elevators look dated and […] are kind of rickety, though functional. The room was very nice. The TV station had connectivity for many other devices which was nice, and the couch was a bonus. Although we had a sink and a fridge, no microwave. Only one was in the lobby. The bathroom was small, but worked well. I do have to say that the shower could have been better. Good location for things I needed to do. Like the convenience yet in a quite area. I like this chain of Hyatt's, but this room needed a once over for maintence. We only stayed for one night on our way through to Myrtle beach. The room was excellent, clean, spaceous, updated and great for a family of four and the price was great. The breakfast in the morning was very good and everthing was stocked. I would highly recomment this hotel for the ammenities, price and comfort
