Stayed here on our honeymoon, couldn't have asked for a better place for the money. The staff was extremely helpful with speedy check in/out. Concierge staff was on their A game the entire time. Room was cleaned daily and very comfortable. The bar was nice but a bit expensive ( but that's London). Vauxhall tube station is only a five minute walk which isn't bad at all. There is a grocery store next door that has about everything you need. Was a great stay.

Just what we expected. everything was good except the wash basin drain was full of hair and drained poorly. surprised that the maid service didn't report it
Location.
Radisson Blu Portman Hotel stands across the street from Portman Square in London, England. This property occupies an enviable location between the fashionable Marylebone and Mayfair districts. Guests have easy access to nearby train and metro stations.
Hotel Features.
A modern glass entrance leads to a spacious marble lobby. Portman Corner Restaurant serves buffet-style breakfasts and traditional English breakfasts. Lunch and dinner menus highlight modern British fusion cuisine. The Lobby Bar serves bar drinks and coffee. The entire first floor is occupied by a ballroom and 11 function suites. The hotel is equipped with a computer kiosk and complimentary wireless Internet access. Guestrooms.
This 11-story hotel offers 272 air-conditioned guestrooms where upon arrival, guests can choose among five different room styles. Art Deco rooms reflect modernist accents. Scandinavian rooms feature contemporary beech-wood furniture and modern art prints. British rooms are decorated with ochre furnishings, antique-style lamps and pre-Raphaelite art prints. Italian rooms are characterised by bright splashes of colour, glass-panel headboards, Botticelli prints and contemporary Italian furniture. Art Deco and Italian rooms feature elaborate centerpieces which house minibars, televisions, safes and coffee/tea-making facilities. Bathrooms include granite vanities, telephones, Radisson-brand toiletries, and bathrobes and slippers upon request. Select rooms extend to balconies.

Portman Restaurant - Extensive breakfast buffet includes traditional English breakfasts, pancakes, pastries and fruit, cheeses, Scandinavian breads, and smoked salmon. Lunch and dinner menus offer modern British fusion cuisine. Sample dishes include Sautéed Scallops with Plantain, Crispy King Crab Lasagna (chef's signature dish) and Caramel Panna Cotta. Wood-and-marble floors and coffee-colored leather banquettes characterize the bright modern dining space. Large moveable planters break up the room and potted grasses add greenery to tables. In summer, the terrace is opened for dining.
Portman Café - The large marble fireplace with its antique clock is the main focal point of the lobby, where guests sink into leather Chesterfield armchairs and enjoy afternoon tea, a light snack, or specialty coffees. Heavy drapes frame the floor-to-ceiling windows; potted palms and antique mirrors add elegant, old-world touches. Open all day.
Lobby bar - Adjacent to the lobby, the hotel bar is open all day until late, serving drinks and coffees. Eye-catching modern paintings adorn the deep-burgundy walls; chocolate-colored leather chairs create a warm ambience. Live piano music Monday-Friday evenings.
Hyde Park, 400 meters from the hotel, has running, cycling, and skating paths, and horse riding tracks. Visitors can swim in the Serpentine Lido, an outdoor pool (open in summer), and hire rowing boats on the famous Serpentine Lake.

Dining Room was closed at noon to transition from breakfast to lunch. Made us eat in the lobby. Staff was slow and seemed confused as to who was to serve us. Lunch took forever.

This hotel is situated about 5 minutes walk from Oxford street and is an ideal location for a shopping weekend in London. The hotel itself is is desperate need of a makeover as it is well used and not in a condition a Radisson Blu hotel should be. "Reception was chaotic!"
No formal queues made for a free-for-all at checkin. Aggressive people would nudge out those that had been patiently waiting their turn. Front desk manager should have recognized the situation however, during my 35 minute wait, nothing was done to alleviate the situation. Once in the room, I was very pleased with its condition. I stayed here for 6 nights. There was no internet for 2 days, the message light on the phone was constantly on and the staff were incapable of fixing it (the solution was to unplug the phone!). I've stayed at this hotel before and the service and facilities were as good as before. The free wireless is a plus for keeping in touch. The location is great for shopping being just two blocks from Oxford Street.

Hotel was excellent - clean and modern, friendly staff and a central location, ideally placed for Oxford Street shops. The only minor gripe was the poor wi-fi connection in the room.

No fault found with our stay. The reception staff were polite and friendly, check in was swift, the room was a good size, the shower worked well. We didn't use the bar or restaurant - literally an overnight stay. Very convenient for all the attractions of central London.

Absolutely great value for money. Internet and breakfast included and perfect location. Big rooms (business). Everything worked. Normally in London (I have been there approx. 15 times) there is always something not working properly or room is not what you expected, etc,. Vi ble møtt i resepsjonen av serviceinnstilt personell, fikk ett rent og koselig rom og sov veldig godt der. Hotellet ligger i ett distrikt med masse shopping og cafeer, så den dyre men flotte frokosten benyttet vi bare en morgen. Ellers er det gå avstand (ca 3-5min) til Bond Street undergrund stasjon, og kanskje 20-25 min å gå til Picadilly circus […] (5 min med undergrund). room and bathroom were not clean enough - pyjamas thrown on chair. Room and bathroom badly in need of redecorating - room was not done on our return at 16.00 and we had to wait to have it done. Pillows most uncomfortable and soap, liquid soap not replaced daily.

"No heat control at Portman"
Could not adjust heat in room which was way to cold. TV did not work. Portier could not give proper direction to resturants. There was a mouse in the bar.

Greatly located near Oxford Street shopping and only 2 minutes away from Selfridges. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms and beds. London is expensive for quality stay so an overall good quality for price paid.

Not a great experience Room not available until almost 4pm Milk in room for tea was sour.
The hotel is very well located for the West End and all the Oxford Street shops. It is near 2 tube stations (less than 5 minutes walk). The rooms are on the small size and the fittings especially in the bathroom are in need of "refreshment". Overall a good value stay in Central London in a very safe and relatively quiet neighbourhood

Overall the Hotel was very good with an ideal location. The only complaint was that the bar did not stock the quality drinks we required, in particular the Port was suitable for cooking ,not drinking and of course the cost was exceptionally high, not a good point. Stayed recently with family, the location of the hotel is ideal for tourists and the rooms very clean with comfortable beds. However the service in the hotel is slow and we were disappointed to discover that our two rooms where on different floors - despite booking 5 months in advance. Great hotel, staff is very helpful, rooms are small but comfortable and beds are great.... Location is very good for shopping and sightseeing. I think it is poor that the hotel does not have an arrangement with the NCP carpark - it is very expensive to park there.... Overall then we shall be very happy to stay here again.

Personalen var fantastiska - allihopa. Våra tonåringar kommenterade flera gånger under vistelsen hur trevliga personalen var (ingen skillnad hur de behandlade oss vuxna och tonåringarna alltså.)
