The Mandala Suites - Berlin

We were totally blown-away at the quaility, ambience and spaciousness of the Mandala Suite hotel. The staff treated us like royalty and the amenities, the gym, the suite of rooms were superb. There are only a few draw-backs and i consider them to be non-issues but should be addressed since the can be readily fixed once the hotel is made aware of two […] of them at least: The hotel is diffiicult to find, if you are free unfortunate enough to drive to Berlin as we did (never again), it is not the typical hotel as we know it, so you are thrown off tryng to locate it in the traditional hotel setting. However, when we took a cab to the hotel the following day, he drove straight to the location with no problem, so maybe it was our unfamiliarity with the city. The other draw back is the bed, it is as hard as a rock and the pillows are much to flat and soft to sleep comfortably. The kitchen is well equipped, however, they failed to put in a kitchen table and chairs to eat on so we had our meals on the living room coffee table. All in all, in spite of the aforementioned obstacles, when we are in Berlin again next year, we will be staying at the Mandala Suites Hotel, I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel, it deserves a four star rating. We loved staying here, for its location (1.5 blocks from Germandermarkt and steps from the U-bahn), and for its comfort. The property is right in the middle of busy Freidrichstrasse, but an oasis as our apartment opened into an interior courtyard with a nice balcony, where children played and birds sang! I spent six days in Berlin and was extremely happy with my stay at the Mandala Suites. For the price of a traditional room at one of the business hotels located nearby, I got a small apartment with a living room and a fully-equipped kitchen. It was great to have the extra space to work and to fix my own meals on a couple of evenings. Excellent . We would have no hesitation in staying here again. Comfort factor was very high. Close to museums, galleries and concert halls. One small irritation was that the wi-fi 'hotspot' connection was a bit unreliable at times. However, life is too short to become too concerned about this minor matter.

We thoroughly enjoyed the comfort of this suites hotel. There was lots of room and it was great having a kitchen available - even though we mostly only used it for breakfast. Wish we had known ahead that there are washers/dryers availble for free - we would have packed fewer clothes and washed them before moving to our next stop. I have been at the Mandala Suites a couple of times, and it always has been a pleasurable experience. The rooms are spacious, the place always is impeccably clean and staff is friendly. The breakfast is superb. This time though, it was not great. The pillows we had where horrid, they felt like they are 10 years old and we both had no sleep at all during […] the night because of them. Since there is no staff on duty at night, we weren't able to get a replacement. The bed itself was very uncomfortable as well. for the tourist who wants a bit of comfort and (especially) space in a central location at a reasonable cost, the Manala is hard to beat. We lacked a table to eat on, but the kitchen was quite enough for breakfasts and light meals or heating up things. The bed was excellent, the bathrooms likewise. Totally quiet with a nice outlook

We booked the Mandala Suites for location and price for a room of such size. The welcome was warm and considering it's not a hotel it offered a very high level of service. All was clearly explained eg keycards, entrances/exits after reception closed, facilities. The suite was simply fantastic. It overlooked the external courtyard shared with other […] buildings so nice and quiet. It comprised a good-sized bedroom with kingbed and great storage, bathroom with shower over bath, separate toilet, huge lobby with lots of storage for coats and suitcases and a fab living room (with balcony but as Dec we didn't use it) with pretty decently equipped smart kitchen. We could easily have stayed there for a month it was so comfortable - and appears that many people do exactly that. The only confusion was over breakfast. I was fairly sure it wasn't included but we were told all about it and then weren't sure but at no point did anyone mention the cost and we forgot to ask. If you do decide to have breakfast it's approx €18 each. It's buffet style with as much as you could eat. The room is small, they obviously expect most guests to use their kitchens so if full it could get very busy. It was fine when we were there, no problems getting a table and the staff really are very helpful. They prepare hot options to order alongside the very plentiful cold buffet offerings which included lots of fruit, meats and cheeses, different breads and pastries. We would definitely return. I would not stay in this area again. Only chain-shops and cafes. Poor restaurants. Wifi did not work well. And the gym/sauna has shared showes/sauna women and men. So when u want to go to sauna in the evening and u see an naked sweaty man sitting there u just want to turn around and go back to your room :-(

Sentralt og flott hotell. Stor leilighet med alle fasiliteter. Svært hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening. Det eneste som kan utsettes er at det burde vært et lite spisebord der og møbler på verandaen. Kaffefilter hadde også vært bra. Dumt å måtte kjøpe en hel pakke for noen dager. Ellers helt topp på alle måter.

Albergo di fascia alta, di recente realizzazione/ristrutturazione (come tutta Berlino, del resto) ma con personale scortese e poco disponibile. La suite è spaziosa ma costituita da una unica "stanzona" di 50 mq...sarebbe stato molto meglio avere due spazi separati.

Grundsätzlich prima. Sehr gut gelegen. Schoene grosse Zimmer. Nettes Personal. Allerdings ein paar Kleinigkeiten, die nicht perfekt sind.....eine viel zu laute Klimaanlage. Kein Fernseher im Schlafzimmer. Zudem kein Bügelservice, Bügelbrett erhältlich. Man muss in den Keller gehen, um seine Sachen aufzufrischen. Keine separate Dusche - Wannendusche

Sehr geräumige Suite mit eigener Küchenzeile und Balkon. Sehr gut geeignet für längeren Berlin-Aufenthalt. Einrichtung im Kolonialstil - geschmackvoll und zurückhaltend. Hotel ist sehr zu empfehlen; gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.
