The first night I was accused by a 'security guard', wearing street clothes, of not being a guest of the hotel because I was on the internet trying to book a hotel room for another night. We stayed here due to the proximity to the Denver Airport. We had a King non smoking room which was nicely laid out for us. Our room was clean and very comfortable. "Much better places to stay for the price"
We stayed at this hotel for a little over $100. I think there are much better places to stay around this cost. The carpets in our room were stained. The coffee maker in the room was missing pieces. The room did not even have a number on the outside; only a piece of paper taped on the outside of the door with our room number on it. The hotel could have been good. It was under some construction but that was being handled well. Front desk folks were very gracious and professional. Problem...the AC in the room didn't work. Waited 2 hours for Shuttle. One Shuttle broke down. Other shuttle was so full never could get on. Called hotel repeatedly. Others took expensive taxi to hotel. All they said was doing best we can. Since Hotels.com did not offer many affordable options near the airport with shuttle service, I chose this one. Waited 45 minutes for the airport pick-up and a 30 min wait to return the next day. The cost was high for what I got. hated the instant coffee maker. I always bring my own coffee and get rooms with coffee makers as my mornings are sacred time. "Better than sleeping at airport"
Staff rude, half the machines in the exercise room broken (and no AC), trash lying around the exercise room and shuttle, nasty stain on my carpet, and after I was told to come down to the lobby 15-20 min before I wanted the shuttle, it actually took 45 min to get a shuttle. "Won't ever stay there again"
Staff was rude as he*l, they stuck us in a room where the shower was having maintenance done and the shower was completely taken apart and they couldn't get someone to fix it. They the switched us to another room , we said we wanted to be on the first floor , they said they didn't have any king beds on the first floor left so they were gonna put us […] on the second floor , but instead of doing that they stuck us on the first floor with a room that had two beds not one. That rooms air conditioning wasn't working properly later that night and the room was very hot, my 14 month old had fallen asleep and they were gonna send someone in to fix it and I told them no bc I wasn't gonna risk having my son wake up. They were extremely rude about it and told me the only thing they could do was have us switch rooms at 11 at night. When checking out we went to the desk , I smiled at the lady waiting for her to ask me what room or could she help me or something, but she just looked at me like I was stupid so I said nicely "we need to check out" and in a snappy voice she said "uh what room?" "No late check out and terrible staff"
Here's what should have happened: front desk calls my room around 11am. "Sir, checkout time is 11am. Will you be staying over?" Me: "No, I need a late checkout please, noon or 12:30." Desk: "I'm sorry sir, we don't offer a late checkout. If you need to stay over, we will honor your same rate for an additional night." Here's what actually happened: […] Maids knocking on my door every 15 minutes beginning at 930am even though I had Do Not Disturb sign up. Housekeeping supervisor knocking on my door and reading me the riot act for not being out of the room. Me calling the front desk after 11 and being informed they didn't offer late checkout. Me rushing out of the room still being harassed by the housekeeping staff every 15 minutes. Me clearing out of the room sometime after noon. Me still getting charged for a second night. If you don't offer late checkout, fine. If you're going to charge a guest for an extra night for staying an extra hour, fine. OK -but my remote did not work which was mildly annoying and then the switch tripped on the hair dryer and I didn't realize it was the wall switch on the other side of the sink so had to call maintenance. We called twice to get directions as our GPS did not show the street. When we got to the area the name on the building was NOT Quality Inn and a van with another name was parked in front - very confusing. After driving by twice we went in. I immediately went to the front desk - they kept saying the computer showed the room was ready and free. (A good way to get shot is what I told them.) They apologized, gave us a different room and offered free snacks from the little store - I suggested they could take the pet fee off our bill. They agreed to that. In the end we were VERY satisfied with our room, I believe they upgraded us. The pet fee was on our credit card for several day, but was removed without me calling about it. I had to stay overnight in Denver because my next flight wasn't until the next morning. I got a really good rate for a king size bed that included a couch, microwave, fridge, two sinks etc. The room was very clean too! I didn't know what to do with such a big room to myself! I am sad I had to miss out on the free breakfast because my flight was so early. […] I had to wait on the shuttle from the airport to the hotel for about 40 minutes. However the driver was very friendly and talkative which I like. He pointed out many cool things on the ride and giving me fun facts. That is what I consider great hospitality. As soon as you get in the room it had a bad smell. Could of been the furniture that was badly stained. This hotel used to be clarion inn that is now being turned into a quality inn. "Stinky, and not like the pictures."
This hotel must have been a smoking hotel of the past. The room did not smell like smoke, but was extremely unpleasant. I say again... extremely unpleasant. I paid up front for the room for three days. Day 1 I was so tired I slept okay after my nose got use to it. Day two I slept in the parking lot and only showered in the hotel. Day three I again slept […] in the bed. There is good and bad that comes with every hotel. This is one that you should stay away from. Take my word for it... sped a couple extra dollars and go somewhere else. This is the last time that I will be trying to save a few bucks. Just not worth it.
