Yikes, for the most part. I would just leave as that but for those people who I would like to save, this hotel is so sad. Don't believe the pictures, they are totally incorrect. Those business suites are awful. The carpet is peeling from the corner of the walls, the bathrooms are this absolutely terrible yellow gray 1x1 tiles that look like they have […] never been cleaned. The bed sheets looked unwashed, thankfully the pillows were comfortable, although after an 11 hour flight anything is comfortable. The restaurant was nice but it is not open on weekends. Good luck finding anything to eat anywhere around this place. Even their delivery menu cost almost $30 for a large plain pizza and the pizza was awful. The staff was great! For all the nice people out there looking for a good stay, PLEASE stay at the beach in Wakiki. Do not go anywhere else! I was very disappointed. I could've had a nice trip had I spent the additional $10 to book something in Wakiki. Better luck next time I guess. Read more

Overall a very pleasant stay in the hotel. Starbucks and Jamba Juice are nearby and a reasonably complete drug store is right downstairs. It was a good choice for my travel needs.

We stay in the hotel before and after a cruise vacation. The location is excellent. Some rooms have kitchen and washer & dryer which is a convenience. Continental breakfast and internet included in the cost. The cost was fair considering the cost of surrounding hotels. Parking has a $20 surcharge.

We enjoyed the well equipped room(s), bath room, kitchenette and the central location. We also liked being able to walk to art museum, restaurants etc. The view from the breakfast room on the 40th floor was very nice. The service and security are very good. Also for those who will go on a cruise there is only a short taxi ride to the cruise ship.

The hotel is located in the heart of Honolulu. When I got into the parking garage, there were very few parking spaces for hotel visitors. I drove all the way up to the 10th floor in the parking garage before I found a spot with no reserved sign in the parking stall. I don't know what I would have done if the few spots were taken. It's not like you can […] find parking in downtown Honolulu easily. When I got to the lobby, the front desk was around a corner. When I got to the front desk, the staff was very nice and helpful. They checked me in quickly and were very professional. I was pleased with the room. The views were spectacular. The room resembled a small condo and was clean and tidy. My room was equipped with a kitchenette with a microwave oven, small refrigerator, plateware and silverware. The food and drinks in the room was reasonably priced. I took advantage of the 24 Hour Fitness coupon that allowed me to work out for half the daily price. It was practically right around the corner within walking distance. Overall, it was great for the price. I am a business traveler and this suited me just fine. If the parking was less of a hassle then it would be my “go to” hotel when I travel to Honolulu. Read more

I have spent a month there and later a week there. I like the fact that there are small kitchens in the rooms so I didn't have to go to a restaurant every night. I stayed in Rm # 1812 (like the overture) and it was impressive. The bathroom sink was not draining tho. I tried the handle for it and that came out of it's fixture! Hmm. Looked under the sink and didn't see any attachment for it. Gave up for the time being. Some food delivery or menus of close by restaurants would have been nice since I got in in the […] evening and by the time I thought of my hunger it was too late to take a cab to go look for a place to eat at. A tv schedule or list of the different channels would have been nice. We loved everything about our stay, worth every penny to stay on the 37th floor with a pretty decent view. We stayed in 3706, which seemed twice as big as the last oceaview suite we stayed in (3405). The hotel was really nice and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Check in is usually at 4:00pm they but they said we could come back at 2:30 because rooms were still being cleaned. All rooms have a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. They put us in Room 109 which was very small, the refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and closet […] was in the bathroom. One of the walls was slanted so it made the room feel even smaller. We went back to the front desk and told them the room was very small and I did not like that fact the closet was in the bathroom (damp smelly clothes, not for me), and ask if all rooms had the refrigerator /microwave in the bathroom. Dave was very accommodating he said he would find us another room if we were not happy. He gave us a room with a king size bed, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker in a separate area. This hotel is far from the tourist attraction of Waikiki and the malls and beaches, so the luxury of Waikiki is not at hand for this hotel, but Waikiki can be reached by car. Aston at the Executive Center is in the middle of downtown Honolulu, a place where our cab driver warned us there was 'nothing', and that certainly seemed to be the case. However, for an overnight stop en route to the airport and a long flight home, it was a great location. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and even include some cable channels […] so that we were able to watch Monday Night Football without finding a sports bar. This hotel is located in the business district, a long way from Waikiki and tourist activities, so only go consider this hotel if you are on a business trip. The ocean-view room looks on the commercial marina, not the beach area. Not close to restaurants or shopping. We arrived on the Sunday before Labor Day and restaurants and stores close to the hotel […] were closed on Sunday and also on the Monday holiday. Our first room was on the 31st floor, and it had problems. It had a wooden floor and older furniture; it was nice but not special. The TV did not work and the cabled internet (no wifi) worked for about 15 minutes and then never again. After complaining about the problems, the staff was very apologetic. We were moved to a room on 37th floor that was much nicer (carpeted, better furniture, working TV and Internet). Since we weren't in town on business, this was not the right place for us. We were stuck there for the first night, and moved to a hotel near Wikiki for the other two nights we were on Oahu. This would be a good hotel if you were in town for business and wanted to be downtown, but this is not where tourists will want to stay. Read more

This was my first visit to the Aston in downtown Honolulu. We were on the 22nd floor with a city view. I loved it! It was a business trip. We stayed here the night before we flew out of the city. It was fairly quick to the airport so from that standpoint it was a good choice. Staff at the front desk upon check in/out were excellent -- very friendly and helpful. Room had free wifi which was a good plus as it allowed us to check in for our flights online.
