"Inexpensive option for Opryland conventions"
Needed to find a hotel close to $100/night for a convention I attended at Opryland. Our group rate was nearly $300/night, too much for a single room and I don't want roommates, except my wife, when I travel for business. GuestHouse was a solid option, the second closest hotel to the resort, free breakfast, and clean rooms. Hotel is a bit dated, but a great option for budget minded travelers.

"Okay, but could've been better"
We always enjoy our stay at the Guesthouse, but this was my least favorite stay. The staff upon checking in was loud and obnoxious. The hallways weren't clean on the 3rd floor where we were staying, and I asked for a 1st floor room, but was told "oh well" by the front desk. The room was okay, pipes made horrible noises when taking a shower.

"An overall great trip!"
We stayed for a long weekend in Nashville with friends. We did not spend much time in the room because we were having too much fun elsewhere. The hotel is a bit outdated, however, for what we needed it for, it worked perfectly. We were close enough to restaurants we could walk to them,we were 5 minutes from the outlet mall and we could take a shuttle to downtown Nashville for only $10 per person roundtrip. A cab ride is an easy $30 each way!! Overall we enjoyed out stay at The Guesthouse! We would do it again!!!

"Stinks"
Hotel stinks. The whole place smells of cleaning sol'n.They should give it a thorough cleaning with bleach (for mold) and change out the carpet. Otherwise they strive to please.

"Great location"
The staff make the hotel worth the trip but the rooms are a bit run down and the pillows are horrible- you'll need 2-3 just to get comfortable. I was on the 2nd floor which had a horrible smell in the hall - think chlorine mixed with urine smell - luckily the smell did not continue into the room. The hotel does have an indoor pool on the first floor so maybe it was coming from there??? The free continental breakfast was OK - the only hot food was the standard waffle maker - I prefer more protein choices in the morning (it did have hardboiled eggs). The staff was very friendly and helpful and helped me find my way around town. Free shuttles to the Grand Old Opry Hotel which is just a short drive if you have a car. There is also a shuttle bus available for $10 roundtrip to downtown which is worth the price to avoid the headache of trying to park downtown!

"Great Find"
We were pleasantly surprised by the appearance, the comfort and the location of the hotel that we had booked online. The hotel, although obviously an older property was nicely updated, yet had the charm and spaciousness from another era.

"best value for the money"
Went there to attend AACC conference. Location is good. Room is clean, quiet and comfortable.breakfast is adequate,addition of sausage instead of granola bars would be great.hotel is older, there is musty smell on first floor hallway carpet. A little mold found on shower faucet in bathroom.swimming pool water is too cold. Hot tub is fine, needs more force on jets.had very good sleep. Parking is free and plenty of parking spaces. Close to restaurants.overall, service is very good. Will go back again.

This was a decent hotel in its day but needs some updating and maintenance. Rooms had a slight musty smell but not overwhelming. Price was good for that part of Nashville and the shuttle service to the Opryland Hotel was nice since it saved $23 for parking there. I'd stay there again.

"Wonderful surprise!"
Although the hotel's furnishings are a little "tired", our stay here was great! Location is great and the service is outstanding. Our room was wonderfully clean, and the bed very comfortable. First time at this hotel though have been to Nashville many, many times. We will definitely stay here again.

"Good beds, friendly staff, cute little kitchen."
Nice and clean. Near airport but not so close you are bothered by airline traffic. I would recommend to friends sand we would stay there again. There was a duck and duckling in the parking lot that were not bothered by guests coming and going.

"Bach Party Success"
This trip was about a Bachelorette Party! Too close to downtown was too expensive. This was perfect. It wasn't too far so we took a cab or über. And it was only $15 a ride. You're right near the mall and opryland and all. I requested adjoining rooms because there was 8 girls so we had two rooms. The hotel has no problem accommodating that. The hotel was fair clean. It was just a a little older. Some of our lights weren't working, the maintenance was quick to fix it. We requested a fridge and they brought one right up. There's a place across the street called John A's. It's a great place to get dinner. Live amazing music and the food is soooo good.

"Nashville disappointment"
Maybe my expectations were too high ... the carpet was worn and dirty throughout the hotel. Our room was "damp" and walking on the carpet felt yucky on my feet. The carpet was not vacuumed the 4 days we were there. When I mentioned the debris on the carpet to the front desk, their comment was: "the strings are difficult to pick up"

"Location is the only good thing"
Receptionist couldn't find our reservation then blamed Expedia, saying they put the wrong date on the reservation. No one could recommend a restaurant. Bed was very uncomfortable

"Economical Hotel with a Few Quirks"
We decided to go to Nashville over Labor Day Weekend. When I was looking for hotel options, I quickly realized I was going to save several hundred dollars by staying a little further out of downtown. I found this hotel and was a little skeptical based on previous reviews. However, our stay was actually rather enjoyable. You get what you pay for, so you should not expect a 4 or 5 star hotel for a cheaper price. Some of the positives about this hotel aside from being less expensive: - It is only 10 miles from downtown Nashville. - FREE Parking and continental breakfast. - $10 round-trip shuttle downtown until 1am if you don't want to drive and park. (We chose Uber because we wanted to stay out past 1am). - Walking distance from Gaylord Grand Opry. - Staff was very friendly. Some of the negatives about the hotel: - Pool was disgusting. It had hair floating in it and the hot tub located outside was small and the jets were not working. Did not use it after we saw the condition. - Interior is outdated. The comforters look like something out of the 1970's. However, the linens were clean and the bed was comfortable, so I can't complain. - Continental Breakfast is an overstatement. They had cheap bagels, yogurt, and orange juice that tasted like sunny delight. - Wifi is FREE, but it's practically dial-up from the 1990's. Luckily, I have unlimited data on my phone so it was not a problem.

"Good location"
Hotel is in need of an upgrade (old/outdated) and room had musty smell. However, it was clean and comfortable accommodations with very attentive house keeping staff. The hotel had an adequate amount of parking and was easily accessible. Indoor pool was a tad cold (not heated in early September).

My husband and I stayed in a corner room and found it very quiet and comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room and bath were clean. TVs were aged and problematic but we don't watch much anyway. Internet quite slow.

"Perfect Hotel - Perfect Price!"
My mother and I went to Nashville for the weekend for a girls shopping trip to Opry Mills. We couldn’t have asked for a better location for our hotel for the price! Hotel was safe, clean but had some minor wear-and-tear maintenance issues. The globe on our bathroom light fixture fell off while I was getting ready in the morning (It had some cracks in it, leading me to believe this was not the first time!). The mattresses and pillows could use an upgrade; however, if you like firm, you would LOVE them like my mother did! Great location! There were a lot of live entertainment options located within walking distance of our hotel. We even enjoyed singing karaoke in the hotel lounge!!! We would gladly opt to stay here in the future and recommend it to others! It’s no 5-star accommodation, but if you are on a budget and want a great stay somewhere, it’s perfect! There is even a Cracker Barrel next door!

everyone very nice. Rooms are nice, a bit dated, pillows were flat, our room had plumbing issues the entire time we were there, toilet tank overflowed twice and had to call maintenance 3 times to get fixed. Hall carpets are dated & stained. It was clean & in a nice area, we would stay again.

"Our first stay"
We stopped by the lobby to let the staff know we were leaving our car in the parking lot for the day while we shopped at a nearby mall and toured attractions before checking in. The staff offered to check us in early and offered a free shuttle to nearby attractions. Much more than we expected! Super friendly and accommodating! We will stay here next time we stay in Nashville!

"Decent hotel, good area"
Nice location, about 20 mins from downtown Nashville and 5 mins to Grand Ole Opry and the Ppry Mill Mall. Watch out for the NINE percent tax in TN. That helped us keep our money in our wallets! Hotel is clean, breakfast only so-so, so much better at Hampton Inns, where we usually stay. You can walk to a few stores and restaurants from the hotel.

We came to Nashville to go to the Grand Ole Opry and wanted a hotel that was close. This was an easy drive to the Opry and the shopping mall. Great location, garage parking and overall good value. We were there only one night but were very comfortable.

"Guests Talk to Each Other"
Had difficulty with the WiFi. Front desk said call IT Hotline. The hotline said they didn't service that hotel. The front desk said they hadn't any other complaints from other guests. They moved me to a different room and the WiFi was stronger. I told them the repeater wasn't reaching my room in the corner. Next day I see another guest sitting in a chair outside his room with his laptop so I asked him if he has WiFi problems he said yes and if you go to the second floor it was better than the fourth. Front desk needs to be honest with the guests, we do talk to each other.
