The hotel was nice but a large loud family was next door and had their kids running down the hall, the door latch propped so they coukd get in and out slqmming it starting at 6am on sunday. It was awful and lasted about 2 hours.

We have always trusted the reputation of Comfort Suites. Our past experiences has been positive ones. This one did not live up to our expectations. The door would not open without management having to be called (all weekend) even after changing our card key multiple times. The towels were stained. Housekeeping knocked on our door early, we asked them […] to come back later, they never did. Full breakfast was included but, there was nothing hot available. When they finally brought food out it was not enough for all the people there waiting before us. We had to ask for coffee to be served. Will not stay at this hotel again. Read more

The stay in the hotel was wonderful. The continental breakfast was a little different each day, the only downside is make sure you check the expiration date on the yogurt. The yogurt was a month past expiration date. Very nice and comfortable and convenient.

This hotel does not have an elevator. Rooms are very hot. The AC units are the ones controlled by the window and the room was super hot the entire time.

The look of the outside surroundings should have been my first clue. Grounds were not mowed,weeds everywhere. Plywood over one window on the lower floor and very dirty windows. Lobby was nice,however when we got to our room, I was very disappointed. Room was very well worn. Bedspreads were dirty looking,sheets were stained. Furniiture needed replacing. […] Sofa had torn cushoins,table was scratched up. This room was pricey and I was surprised that the hotel tax was almost as much as one night"s stay. We went next door to the Hilton Garden Inn and for ten dollars a night more and less than half the room tax,got a beautiful room extremely clean and very,very nice. I immediatlely called Hotels.com and told them my room at the Comfort Suites was totally unacceptable. A representive called the Comfort Suites and told them I wanted to cancel my stay there and management agreed to let us out of our already paid for room. While I was on the phone with Hotels.com, the manager told my husband that the hotel had been sold to a new owner and refurbishing was planned. Since you asked...here it goes.....This hotel was average but certainly not exceptional by no means. All went well until I reviewed my credit card statement after returning home the following week. This hotel charged my credit card for a missing pillow. I called the hotel to dispute the claim. They would not credit me so now I'm at a impasse with the […] management there. I find it quite odd that this hotel even post in there rooms (at least the room I was in anyway) by line item, each and every item in the room and the purchase cost of each item. It leaves an appearance that this hotel activity participates in charging out of state customers after they leave to increase their profit margin. Least to say you can tell that I am not satisfied with this particular hotel and would warn other to be aware and steer clear of this establishment so that they do not get ripped off like I have. The amount charged was only $21.65 cents. It may not seem like much to dispute but by my opinion this is considered since most customers will not pursue a remedy since the cost falls in that grey area. Read more

Nothing special, but close to Schlitterbahn. Two Doubles and a sofa bed. Mattress was comfortable, and linens decent. Four full sets of towels. I rented 2 rooms for our weekend in New Braunfels, for the price that I paid I was left with a very bad taste in my mouth, I really can not think of anything postivie to say at this time. On our 1st night the ac was not cooling our room off, I had to go downstairs and ask for a fan just to stop sweating. I was told by the person at the front desk that […] a maintenance person would be addressing the issue in the morning. My family and I went to the water park with our boys, we came back to find the the room was NEVER CLEANED nor picked up, the ac was still not fuctioning properly, we had to go down to the front desk and ask for clean towels, toilet tissue, etc. the lack of carelessness eminated from EVERYONE who was employed there. On Sunday our check out was at 12:00pm but I did not want to stay there any longer than necessary so we checked out over 3 hours earlier than we were due to check out, on the day of checking out on Sunday, the cleaning crew was knocking at our door at 8:30 am. I told them that they were a day late in wanting to clean our room and once we checked out they could have their room back and take as long as they wanted to clean up, which is something they CLEARLY did not do on Saturday. I have my own plumbing company, and I will NEVER be staying at any one of your Comfort Suite locations again. Read more

We were disappointed that the coffee maker was broke and when I called to let the front desk know, she just said okay but did not offer to replace it. The jacuzzi was just warm not hot! the breakfast had no meat and there was an electrical outage so there was a backup but there was more offered than most other motels.

The clerk who checked us in was quite impatient and unhelpful. (we wondered why she would choose a career in hospitality if she does not like the work.) We assigned a 2nd floor room -- there is no elevator in this hotel and for seniors it was neither pleasant nor easy to have to schlep our bags up the stairs. Stay was adequate room was clean , personell nice, but I was miffed a bit that there were no elevators to the 2nd floor. I had several bags since I was traveling for business I had made the reservation at least a month in advance I should have had a room on the lower floor. Had to ask to be moved to down stairs, she told us she only had 1 room left, […] there were not more than 20 cars in the parking lot. This kind of miffed me a bit . But over all it was fine . The location was perfect as we were going to shop in San Marcos and explore Gruene. The staff did a great job with the breakfast and the variety was fantastic. Would definitely stay there again. The only down side was the hotel was a bit old.

The room for really nice for the price. I chose the location to be close to Schlitterbahn and didn't realize it was closed in March. Instead i was able to do some shopping in San Marcos and the drive was not far at all. Overall my visit was very nice and the staff was too.

We've stayed all over NB and paid more for less. Courteous staff. Clean property. Easy access location. This is one of the better properties offering a comfortably roomy Jr. Suite for a very reasonable price. No frills or thrills - just clean, comfortable and reasonable priced. I would stay again.
