the carpet in the room smelled so funky it ruined the whole experience. I placed a t-shirt beside the bed while showering and the smell was trapped inside the shirt so badly that i couldnt ware it. Otherwise, nothing special.

Our room was not cleaned after we left in the morning, other than the used towels that were taken but not replaced. Wifi was advertised but very intermittent.

The room smelled light cigarettes and we had the room right by the stairs which was very noisy all night. People running up and down the stairs. The toilet kept running, we had to shake the handle.

The photos online for this hotel were definitely the best rooms of the house because when we opened the door to our room, we saw a pretty basic motel-style room. The pictures on your website don't look like the rooms. Fireplace was alot smaller and bathtub was not next to fireplace. Fireplace turned off every 15 min.

Did a SURPRISE getaway for a birthday celebration. The room was excatly as described in picture. I was so pleased with the hotel. It is a short cab ride into Cannery Row and even shorter to the Wharf. Partking sometimes downtown on a busy weekend can be dreadful and expensive if you dont find street parking withgout a meter OR if you plan on drinking […] and dont want to drive. There was mold around the room in a couple different places, a lot in the bathroom. But the staff was super nice and accommodating. Their breakfast was sitting out when we got there at 9:30 at night. It would be nice if they at least made it appear 'fresh'.

this hotel was advertised as close to the Warf and cannery row. IT IS NOT! It is close to a very nice shopping center and park. we loved monterey and the surrounding environs...the hotel was clean and well maintained, the rooms a little tight, but we were just sleeping and showering. The continental breakfast was passable, mainly because one had to gather their food and bring to the room to eat..so that part wasn't so fun.

The hotel was ok - you pretty much get what you pay for. The morning coffee was of a pretty low quality. Location is ok and within easy driving distance of the attractions in Monterey and the city of Carmel. There's a nice shopping center across the street which is convenient. Our main complaint was the absences of the night manager. On our final night, […] a man in the parking lot was screaming profanities from about 3-3:30 AM and banging on a guest's door. We attempted to call the front desk several times but there was no answer. The police finally arrived and controlled the situation but when we were leaving at 7 AM, there was still no manager to be seen, and no one answered to phone to confirm our check out was ok. This place is ok and I give it a C-. It needs repairs. The door did not fit the jam and light came through all around the doorframe. The bathroom had been redone and was pretty nice excpet for the toillet - the seat was loose and the back of the toiltet tank had a mismatched lid that made it look pretty tacky. This was a very quaint hotel. It was a little outdated, but very comfortable. Very close to both Fishermans Wharf and Cannery Row. Also right across the street from the shopping center entrance. It is on a busy road, but noise was not that big of an issue.
