I was very disappointed with my stay at this Sleep Inn. The air-conditioner did not work at all. I reported it in the morning before I left and the manager said someone would take care of it. No one took care of it and when I asked about it again, no one came to fix it. They had the desk clerk come in my room and look at it. Of course she was not a […] mechanic and did not know what to do. When I asked why my room was not cleaned, the clerk said housekeeping did not come in that day. The front staff was great but they did not take care of any of these issues. This did not make for a good stay. I got very little sleep because of the extremely warm room. The motel was a little hard to find as it is not directly on US 98. However, the rooms have obviously been refurbished recently. Very nice and new linens and a well-appointed room.

The shower had a huge ball of hair in the drain. The air was stale. The latch on the bathroom was missing in the first room given to me and defective in the second. Very little was available for breakfast and coffee was old and lukewarm.

Over all I liked the hotel. It was glod location to the beach, stores and restaurants. The staff was very helpful anf overall cleanliness was good. We are visiting Destin again next year and will strongly look at staying there again. We did use Hotels.com to make arrangements but pricing was very reasonable.

Very clean, friendly staff, pet friendly. We chose it because we have a small dog. Close to good shopping. Had to drive to the beach and to restaurants. Good choices on small breakfast at the hotel. Hotel was in good condition. We did not expect it to be a Hyatt or Marriott directly on the beach so it met our expectations.

Great location! The cleaning staff was nice, but the rooms needed to be cleaned better and dusted. Good thing I travel with my own sheets because the sheets on the bed still had make up from the previous guest on them. The smell of the hotel was awful and the place needs some TLC.

First, let me say that the staff at this hotel was incredibly nice. Other than that aspect, I was very disappointed and would not stay here again. The main issue was that the address given (i.e. Destin) is inaccurate. This hotel is actually located in Miramar, FL. This caused serious issues in locating it: my friend and I drove around in traffic for […] an extra hour. Also, it was not within walking distance from the Destin Commons as claimed, but rather approximately 5-8 miles away. Furthermore, the hotel does not have an elevator, and the room did not have a bathtub. I truly thought that these things were standard and was shocked to discover that they are "amenities." Furthermore, the pool area was severely lacking; nearly all of the outdoor furniture was broken. So, basically, I would not stay here again. Have stayed here twice in last month, and it was clean both times. Only complaint is there's a big church behind it and one night they had a PA out there well after 10:30 PM on a Thursday night that was annoying.

Considering I've used Expedia for all my travels and always read the reviews before booking a hotel because the ratings usually give the consumer a better idea of what they are getting for their money, this was so WRONGFULLY rated..... PLEASE read this message and DO NOT consider this hotel unless you are looking to exactly sleep ONLY (in other words […] arrive after 9pm to sleep and not spend any time at all at the hotel) It's not even located at the address listed on expedia! The address is the mailing address not the physical address so it's actually heading out of Destin towards Panama City. It's completely runned down, the lobby is probably no bigger than 15x15 and NO ELEVATOR at all...the pool area is in the back part by an empty parking lot of an abandoned church building with trash around it. The building has little to no parking no lighting. Not safe looking at all. The carpet is stained and completely dirty, the breakfast consist of cereal and milk or coffees nothing else ends by 9am sharp. The staff looks scary and none of them are in a uniform to properly identify them. THe restrooms don't have doors they have sliding closet doors with no locks and only stand up showers. On arriving I was informed that it was a pet friendly hotel. Yikes! To me that meant that a flee infested dog or cat may have slept on my bed. I was also told that there was no elevator. The desk clerk was friendly and offered me a room on the first floor. The room smelled and was extremely dark. I found a dead spider and stains on the comforter as […] well as long black hairs on the bathroom floor. The front desk gladly changed my room to a more well lighted room that was cleaner. I completed my stay, but would not stay there again. Although the rooms were all non smoking there were numerous smokers standing at every entrance of the hotel. That is a deal breaker for me as I am a non smoker. Even the staff were standing around smoking all thru the day. I appreciated the helpfulness of the staff. This hotel had been recently renovated, and converted from smoking to non smoking. the lobby was appealing and the rooms decorated very tastefully. I booked a non-smoking room, but the original room had an overpowering tobacco smoke smell. Parking was plentiful and baggage carts available to get bags to the room. Very pleasant stay, and conveniently located with shopping, dining, and convenience stores nearby. Check-in was easy as was the serve yourself morning breakfast. My husband really liked the do-it-yourself waffles. We arrived late in the evening and did not experience any of the other ammenities. Our room was clean upon arrival but we had several problems with the room in general. Two of the lightbulbs were out (one in a bedside lamp, the other in […] the shower) and there was no tub, just a small shower. In addition, when I pulled what I thought was the handle on the outside of the shower door, it came off in my hand. Turns out, it was the towel rack. The next morning when we tried to make coffee in our room, the basket where the filter sits filled with water instead of the karaf. The hotel is going thru a remodel. The parts that are done are nice but the over maintenance of finishing the job LACKS! It is called a punch list and believe no one is paying attention to the small details that make their guest's stay comfortable! Our shower door was caulked closed and we finally got it opened but off track and told the hotel desk […] clerk each day about it and nothing happened in 4 days. The door to the bathroom was a pocket door and it was off track and never got fixed. Also, the pillows are so small that two laying next to each other do not make the size of a normal size pillow. this place in doing a renovation... I know it must be done but I don't think we would stay there again. Our room smelled and the hallway smelled like cigarettes. It was also WAY overpriced.
