My partner and I, and friends of ours, stayed at the Quality Inn Bellingham for a local event. We were blown away by the King Suites. Since the price difference was negligible, we opted for the King Suite with Jetted Tub -- which was such a great decision, because after quite a lot of walking, the jets on my aching back and feet were heavenly. The size […] was surprising, too -- it could easily have fit myself and my partner, both, and neither of us are small people. The bed was comfy, and so were the pillows, something that is iffy about many hotels (we normally bring our own but forgot them in the rush to get out the door). We had a great night's sleep, and made great use of the jacuzzi. We also enjoyed greatly the continental breakfast, which had a wide variety of foods from muffins and cereals and eggs to waffles. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, but must say that one major thing was very disappointing. We had paid extra for a jetted tub. This was a wonderul luxury, and very much enjoyed the first night we stayed there. We stayed there during Thanksgiving, and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is centrally located near shops, eateries, and relatives' homes. Our suite had a kitchen, which is handy when traveling with children. We were able to heat up snacks, wash bottles, and store plenty of juice in the fridge. Free breakfast was nice, though sitting area was a bit small […] so we always took the food back to the room to eat. Bed was comfy, and hot water didn't run out. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very nice and clean. Modern funishings and two flat panel tv's. Only negative was a slow draining bar sink. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, even let us check in early so we could get ready for an event we were attending later in the afternoon. I would definetly stay there again.

A very decent stay....no major issues, but a couple minor ones. The carpeting in the rooms needs to be replaced--ours had holes/patches in it. The lack of any convenient shuttle service 24/7 was difficult (especially in a town with a satellite airport....difficult to get to a rental car without a shuttle). Of note, some of the rooms are "outside" and […] there's no real way to know that beforehand. The temperature varies greatly for rooms inside and outside, and since the climate control in the hallways is sub-standard, the desk crew often props open the door separating in the indoor and outdoor rooms. Securty does not seem very good, but the noise and temperature mainly suffers. All in all, good......not great. Read more

The only welcoming service I received was when I checked in. Otherwise, front counter staff rarely acknowledged me when I returned or left the hotel. The staff at the counter when I checked out was very snarky when I asked for assistance. I believe she was the manager. This was the Quality Inn -Bellingham. Very disapointed in this person.

The bed was good and the location was quiet. However, for the price I had expected more. The carpet was heavily spotted, and even though the entire facility is non-smoking, the stale odor of years of smoking was imbedded in the room. (There was even a cigarette burn hole in the curtain.) I unfortunately was placed in a room across from the ice machine and the sound of the ice dumping at 4:00 a.m. was not the most pleasant but if you didn't get that room you'd find the accommodations to be really nice.

The wi-fi service was slow, and we had to call the front desk to report it. But the staff was responsive and rebooted the router, which seemed to help, so if you experience this problem, give the front desk a call. There is a guest laundry onsite, which is not advertised and is a definite "plus." Also, there was a two-burner cooktop in the room, plus […] a small refrigerator and microwave. There were a couple of pots and pans and some serving utensils, so we were able to do some meals in, which was nice. The hotel is conveniently located, and it was quiet at night. Loved the Jacuzzi tub. Staff was very accommodating in moving a co-traveler to another room. Breakfast was great. Room was comfortable. Setting was quiet and near any shopping we needed . Overall - 4.8.

We enjoyed the whole stay. Continental breakfast was a 5 on a scale of 1 - 10 just because I like to see some eggs and sausage and/or bacon on a continental breakfast. We went to a graduation and the proximity to the college was great.

The hotel was in a good location, but lacked the cleanliness that we had expected. The floor in the hallway was VERY dirty and the floor in the room also needed to be vacuumed. Breakfast choices were limited, and they were out of most of what was normally offered. Probably wouldn't choose to stay here again.

Let me first say the hotel staff is amazing. We checked in without problem, they were friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was very disappointing as far as maintenance. The pull out sofa was missing springs, one of the blankets was severely stained, the carpet had a huge juice stain, the carpet was also poorly patched by the bathroom. We were […] in the "pet" wing of the hotel, which was a nice thing for those guest who travel without animals. I was told that we were lucky to have a pet room, as they are limited. The front desk gal told me next time to call ahead and let them know, hotels.com does not have this in their reservation. She did tell me they had turned away guests, because they did not have a pet room for them, so if a puppy is coming with you CALL the hotel ahead of time. To take your pet out to potty was a little difficult, the pet potty was across the parking lot from the hotel, also bring your own poo bags. We stayed 2 nights, unplanned so we stripped the sofa bed before leaving, it was not made when we returned. The staff was very quick in bringing us new sheets. We enjoyed our stays at other Bellingham hotels much more. This would not be our first choice. Read more

I liked the idea that this hotel offered airport service, however, I found that on my return, I was initially instructed to call the hotel to get a taxi sent to me at Bellingham Airport. I wasn't sure where I was supposed to wait, and NEITHER DID THE CLERK AT HOTEL!!! So I was left on my own at 12.30am not knowing where the cab was getting me...luckily […] a cab from same company took me back, I think that the clerk should give a better description as to where the pick up location is...Also, the hotel guaranteed WIFI service in my room which I was not able to get. Hotel appeared clean and neat, easy to find. Located near, shopping mall, well known stores, movie theatre. Many places to eat, from fast foods to fine dining. Great short highway access. Very important since I had to be at hospital for 1st surgery of day it was important to not have traffic snarle.

The front desk people were so friendly and helpful. They were awesome. The room was ok. I wish there were chairs to sit on in the room. The breakfast was fabulous too. However our experience was tainted by a large family with several children in the room right next to us. The children were knocking on the wall until 2am and they yelled randomly throughout […] the night. So we got very little sleep. The room was freezing!!! We cranked up the heat, thinking it would warm up and went to bed instead of asking to move. Unfortunately, we were in a suite, and the heater was at the door end and the bed was at the other, and the heat never seemed to reach the bedroom. We had the heater set on 82 and had to wear our ski coats all night (really!) to stay […] warm. In the morning we noticed there was also a big gap around the front door, which I'm sure didn't help. Then there was no seat left in the breakfast room, although there was another room down the hall that was open. Breakfast seemed to be pretty well picked over by the time we got there, so we went out to eat. In all fairness, we never complained, which didn't give anyone a chance to fix things. We have stayed at the Barron Suites many times some years ago when our daughter first moved to Bellingham and lived in a small apartment next door. She now lives by Whatcom Lake and we stayed at the Barron Suites again because we had an early morning flight out of Bellingham Airport. I like the Baron Stuites for its location,very close to the Mall and freeway. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel seemed a little old so the noise from the room next door could be heard, somewhat. The morning continental breakfast was the best one I've ever had. The Olive Garden where we went for dinner in within walking distance.
