I stayed for about 6 nights and for the price I paid, I was dissappointed. The room was small, the staff said it was newly renovated but it did not appear like one. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were limited. The toilet had to be flushed several times to be clear. I reported it for fixing but it remained to function as such until I checked […] out. The floor reeked of new paint, there was construction noise from the lower floors in the morning. I paid the same price at another hotel & there was clearly a huge difference for the better. Room is too small for what i paid for. Hotel is walking distance to two big malls, but you'll get more out of your money with other hotels that is attached to a mall too.....crowne plaza and holiday inn suites (brand new in makati)

I typically stay in the Garden Wing to utilize the Horizon Club services. While the lounge services and support staff are excellent, the rooms aren't keeping up. I stay in many, many hotels during the year and, comparatively speaking, the rooms are not up to the level of other five star hotels in the region. I understand that they have begun renovations […] on the "other side" of the hotel but the executive club level rooms are in dire needs of some updating. They are dark and wearing out rapidly. At some point, the value will no longer be there and they will start to lose clients. Our customers are located nearby....if it weren't for the convenience factor, I would have transferred to another hotel by now based upon the quality of the rooms alone. Read more

It has been a while since I saw a CRT TV in a 5-star hotel room. The tile seams in the bath stall also has stains that show the age. The hotel does have a new Garden Wing, but you get what you pay for.

We stumbled into the breakfast buffet and were Shocked to find the cost was about $25.00 usd EACH....NOT included with the cost of theroom as we were told ). The stay is acceptable, but it is not the Shangri-la standard that you are expecting. The facilities are good with a very well-equipped Gym and Health club but the room and bathroom set up looks rather old. Location there is nothing much surrounding it if you are a party goer. Overall too pricey

The horizon club room be had was very small and poorly outfitted. Across the hall from us was a suite having new carpet laid and the smell of the contact cement was overpowering. To top it off, the rest of the floor had only two occupied rooms; they could have put us in a better spot. BTW we arrived at 0100HRS.
