Close to Milan Centrale train station, but not main downtown, yet Metro station is close by. Cafe only open, not restaurant. Breakfast good, but eggs were cold.

Wonderful hotel about 10 minute walk from Piazza San Marco. Located on an open plaza with cafes, shops, fruit stall and kids playing soccer. Very spacious room. Terrific service.

Generally okay. Hotel room may look a little old, but still well maintained. Breakfast spread is good. Hotel is situated beside the metro (which takes you to Duomo in less than 10 mins) and walking distance to Milano Centrale Train Station.

One of the best hotels in Rome!! Our bags were locked up upon arrival so we could grab some lunch after 13 hours of flying. When we returned, they gave us our room early, which was great because we were exhausted. The front desk people were very friendly throughout the entire stay. When we arrived we were told the parking on level 5 was complimentary-It cost $28 for less than 24 hours. Also I was struggling to open the door and pull my suitcases in and the door man walked right by me. The neighborhood was a disappointment.

The Staff presentation and quality of furnishings was first class. My initial impression was I had mistakenly booked into a hotel that I could not afford. I looked for faults but found only a a very slow drip in bathroom sink - this was fixed once mentioned. One of the best hotels I've ever experienced.

We stayed at the Doria Grand once before and were very pleased, so when we found we'd be in Milan again, it was our first choice. It is within walking distance of the train station. The hotel is lovely - beautiful, modern rooms, great staff, plentiful and assorted breakfast choices.

This is a very nice hotel near the Stazione Centrale in Milan. The hotel was the nicest that we stayed at in Italy and had a great breakfast buffet. The only drawback was the location. It was about a 45 minute walk to the Duomo and historic area.

I am a very patient and friendly guy, but those staff could really make u loose ur temper. I stayed there for 12 days, every single time i go to ask for something or ask about something they let me down. The hotel was fairly empty, (how did i know? well, they don't have cards to open the door, they have keys with huge key rings hanging behind the reception with the room number written on it.) Breakfast time, The staff there were as rude. You will order a coffee and it will get to ur table after u finish eating. Terrible breakfast! The internet is super poor! I had to sit next to the door on the floor to catch a little signal. They air condition in my room was hot, I asked them to inspect it or change my room, the lady at the reception simply said "no one has reported such issue about the AC before". she did not even bother to check! The way she said it sounded like i am telling a lie. I asked them to find me an adaptor to plug in my laptop to do my work, they said we don't have any when i saw them giving a lady an adaptor the other day. The hotel is about 4 blocks from the central station near to several places to have dinner or a drink. Going from the central station to the museums and monuments is quite easy, you can buy a daily subway ticket for about 3.5 Euro/person and is also convinient when you want to travel to other cities in Italy. The hotel is very conveniently located towards Central Station (only 5 minutes walk). The rooms are fine: clean and well-equipted. The breakfast is also good: there is a selection of cold anf hot dishes. The only dissappointments for us was the staff. They are not frienly at all.

This is a beautiful well maintained old classic. Excellent hot water supply so the showers were satisfying. Breakfast offered a wide selection of meats, cheeses, rolls, fruit etc. Staff was friendly all spoke English and could make recommendations for restaurants in the area. Booking through this site saved about $50 per night.

The only good thing of this hotel was the location. Very convenient, only had to cross one bridge to get from St. Mark Sq. to the Hotel. This is the best location you can have in venice, unless you want to go to an expensive fancy hotel. The hotel is rather an old building with stairs and you have to take your luggage NO ELEVATOR!!!! so consider taking […] light luggage if you are going to venice and leaving the big bags in a locker at the airport or the train station! The room was quite small and the bathroom was small as well. The AC did not work in our room which was really inconvenient for the Venetian Summer that can be very warm. We complained about the AC but they did not manage to fix it so we got a fan for the night! The other disadvantage is that the hotel has not a real reception but the reception and lobby is in another hotel very close to this one. When we arrived at 4 AM from Milano, the entrance of the Hotel building was closed and we had to insist until someone opened the door..... If you are looking for a good location and don't care about comfort this is a good hotel in venice for you. I preferred to be in a worse hotel but enjoy the city before and after all the tourists sleeping in Mestre and Lido left the city!!!! Read more

It is perfect for those who need an overnight prior to flying out the next morning. We walked (about 3 blocks) to our hotel from the train station and then walked back to catch the shuttle bus to the airport. The metro is about 2 blocks away as well. It was worth the price that we paid. We left too early to check out the breakfast.

It is about 10 mins walk from the train station and the neighborhood seems to be safe. There is a small super market just across the street. There isd a metro stop a block away. The room is rather large in European standard and it is very clean. The breakfast at the hotel was very good as well. The staff were friendly. Overall a very good hotel.
