Staff is wonderful. Lady attending the front desk was very courteous and helpful. The room rate was comparable to the room . We stayed 3 nights and had 2 rooms.

99% of our stay was absolutely wonderful...I enjoyed the Pool, the bed was comfortable, and the continental breakfast was better than average. We only had one oops in the whole stay and that was the "ugly" bug we found in the bathroom, but HOTEL maintenance came right up and took care of it. So, awesome for that, cause I am a wimp. I am very happy with my stay at Vagabond Inn. I've stayed here before and I'll come back again. The only thing is I wish it was closer to Indio/Indian Wells. The room was very confortable. Huge closet space equiped with a microwave and a refrigerator. It had a huge closet space, with an iron and ironing board, a hair drier, and a coffee pot. The staff […] was very freindly, I've called in and let them know that I'll be checking in later than expected and they take care of everything and have everything ready upon arrival. The grounds are very clean, the pool and hot tub are great, and the free continental breakfast is SO good for it being complimentary. You've got waffles, toast or bagles to choose from. Hard-boiled eggs, cereal, apples. To drink you can have coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or if you prefer a cold beverage, theres milk, orange juice or cranberry juice. Great place to stay for not a fortune! The only thing I would change is make it be closer to Indio/Indian Wells. But I'm sure if that was the case the prices would also go up. Read more

This hotel is not bad, nothing fancy but good deal. We went to Stage Coach and a bunch of the hotels guest were also attending Stage Coach. Would stay again!

Good value for the money.

We booked a non-smoking room and as soon as we opened the door the cigarrette smell hit us. The smell was so strong that it smelled as if someone had just been in the room smoking. Overall I was dissatified with this hotel, I wouldn't booked with them again.

The Vagabond isn't a resort but for a weekend away when you are only showering and sleeping in the room it's perfect. Good location, clean rooms and reasonable price.

Place a little older. stayed seven nights.boring breakfast, same thing every day. but it was free. small area for breakfast items. Clean pool and hot tub. Ventilation in bathroom didn't work. Shower had weak flow. nice pool area but smaller then pictures. I'd stay there again..

Everything was fine except that when we are trying to check-in, the personnel in the desk was at the end of his shift so he was reluctant to seek room availability since 5 minutes after his shift ended as he is leaving the hotel, he told us to check with the other incoming personnel maybe there are some rooms available already. Excellent experience. Staff was always nice and helpful quick check in and check out. Room was clean property was clean. Complimentary breakfast was well worth it. Overall 5. This was my second stay and I'll def return next year.

We would definitely use this hotel on our next visit to Palm Springs. The breakfast is nice, the kids loved the pool, the people were friendly and down-to-earth, the location is great. The only complaint and the only reason this hotel is not perfect is that the Internet/Wifi did not work at all. This was quite a pain. Great price, but older motel. Bed wasn't that comfortable and room was dated. It did have a refridgerator and microwave. We were on the back side and that was quiet, and was not too far from downtown Palm Springs. I would stay again for the price.

Tried all night to connect to the internet, and no success. The signal was really poor. The bed sheet is not clean, and had some worn due to overuse. Otherwise, the hotel is fine.

My husband was traveling on business when asked for a receipt she replied "I gave you one already" when I reached home and looked at the receipt she gave me it has no dollar amount for the 3 nights we had stayed there - this is not acceptable for reimbursement for the travel; when I called she put me on hold; so I hung up and recalled and the line rang […] for 20 times and was never picked up; will never stay there again Read more

This is the second time we stayed here. This is a great hotel for the price. Great pool and spa. Clean rooms. My only complaint is they made me go downstairs to the office to get towels, but other than that it was a good stay. Thanks.

Nothing fancy, but a good stay. Bed was a bit uncomfortable but it was very reasonably priced for a one night stay in the Palm Springs area. Free continental breakfast was simple but did the job. For dinner, we went to a nearby Mexican restaurant, Taqueria Tlaquepaque, which was very good and reasonably priced. Very nice service staff. A good breakfast that includes waffles. Quiet if you are on the third floor and centrally located to the entire area. Very slow WiFi.

Clean & well kept rooms. Close to everything in P.S. and the rates can't be beat. Very nice staff. Will stay there again.

Major drawback was the hours of operation of the swimming pool. It didn't close until 11:00pm, and most nights there was a party going on until then, precluding sleep until after that hour. For a hotel of this price, the Vagabond Inn was clean, well-maintained and had OK amenities. It's about a two minute drive (or maybe a 5 minute bike ride) to downtown Palm Springs.

For the price, this was not a bad hotel and fit our needs for the night that we were there.

Simply perfect -- very convienent to everything in Palm Springs as well as the entire Coachella Valley and Joshua Tree Nat. park. The Inn was very clean, quiet and reasonably priced -- I would definitely rec-commend it and will most assurdedly stay there on my next trip to Palm Springs as well as other Calif locations. The noise coming through the windows was the worst part of the stay. The windows should be replaced. The rest of the property is worth the price. The people working their are nice and frendly.

We had a wonderful stay at the Vagabond, just too short. We did rent a car as we felt it was a little to far to walk to town and we wanted to explore more of the area. There are plenty of convenient stores close by, if you didn't want to rent a car. Thanks for a great time.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Vagabond. We arrived early on a Saturday and had no problems checking in. The front desk clerk was kind and efficient. Our room was located on the third floor over the pool. The room was large and had a microwave, coffeemaker, and a nice sized mini fridge. Everything was very clean and tidy. The only downfall of our […] stay was the very hard beds. I woke up with a pretty stiff lower back. Not a big deal for me as the stiffness soon worked itself out, but could be a bigger problem for others. They also had a nice complimentary breakfast by the pool. Location was good. I book over 50 nights a year through hotels.com and this is the first time i have felt compelled to write a review. Here are the bullet points: THE BAD: 1 - Worst smelling room I have every stayed in by far. EXTREMELY Strong smell of smoke in non-smoking room. 2 - No individual room control for heating and cooling. When it is over 65 outside, the […] room automatically cools, under 65 it automatically heats. So if you like a cool room at night and turn the fan on, at about 2am that cold air turns to hot air automatically when it gets cold outside and the room gets hot enough to be sweaty in with no way to turn the AC back on. This was awful and would make me never stay there again for this reason alone. 3 - There is NOT Wifi available as advertised. If you want to use Wifi, you have to go sit in the lobby to get a signal. In our case, this also required the person behind the desk to restart the router about every 15 minutes. 4 - The free Breakfast is barely worth mentioning so don't rely on it. If you just want coffee and fruit, you'll be fine. Bagels were stale, and they were out of juice. The people that work there do their jobs very well. The only thing that needs replacing are the windows. They are not able to keep out the road noise. Their morning breakfast is good. and help makes the stay very afforable.

We couldn't get the television to work nor get internet access. Unfortunately the desk clerk couldn't deal with it because the phone kept ringing. It wasn't his fault. Otherwise, a nice hotel in a nice spot with good amenities.

For what we paid, the Vagabond was a great deal. The room was fairly clean (other than an off-putting streak on the side of one mattress), and the maid forgot to clean our bathroom one day. The pool area is very nice. Not the Ritz, but a nice value.

It's not luxury, but what do you expect at rates like this? Perfectly serviceable hotel and an excellent value. We would stay here again.

Rooms not ready at 4PM (check-in time). Had to wait 11/2 hrs. Asked for corkscrew. Had to bring wine bottle to office because they only have 1 corkscrew!! Great for the price,super comfortable and clean.Nice staff, nice pool and grounds. The breakfast stunk though, I would rather have nothing and just make other plans for breakfast than count one eating there. Aside from that, great!
