The hotel was clean and comfortable. The lady at the front desk was very pleasant. I did not have any issues with the hotel itself during my stay;... although I was only there for 1 day. The surrounding area is not that great. It looked pretty run down. It is also pretty far from the airport. I felt it was a bit overpriced, but it seems all hotels in Austin are a bit overpriced. Front desk allowed us to check in early and check out an hour late with no hassle. Lots of parking, about 15 minutes away from everything if you can manage not to get lost with all the different freeways and freeway construction. The breakfast was pretty good, though […] there wasn't much seating. The rooms were clean, though housekeeping did not come by in the morning. Probably because we were checking out that day, but we would have appreciated fresh towels. The local Chinese food places will deliver to your door, which is nice. Read more

Pretty neutral on the whole experience where I needed a cheapish room at a decent location but didn't need it to be downtown. Hotel is looking a bit dated but it meet my expectation for the price. Bed was comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. Hotel is located near a specs if you want to buy some good beers. Also located nearby is a Fish market […] which is also a popular restaurant. Decent location, although my GPS led me thru a sketchy area to get to the hotel. It was fairly convenient to downtown. The hotel was fine, the only negative however was a big one. In the morning, the shower would not maintain a consistent temperature, and was definitely on the cold side. Waking up to a cold shower was not what I had in mind.

I was very satisfied with this hotel for the price. I've stayed in other "budget" hotels in Austin at similar rates, and this hotel has been the best one by a long shot. Room was clean, staff was fine, no problems with noise, and they have a full breakfast in the morning. I would stay here again with no hesitation.

Appears they are in the midst of a complete remodel as the parking lot had dumpsters full of old carpet and there was new wallboard stacked in the halls. So I expect that soon the entire hotel will have fresher inside look.

It was fine. It was in a very convenient location. The atmosphere though is "old". The bed was not as comfortable as the other hotels we've been during this trip. The receptionist was especially accommodating.

I would never stay here again. The rooms were horrible and so out dated! The carpets were stained, the decor was totally out of place, and the room had a horrible smell to them. The elevator were broken for two days. I know you can up charge during a conference but it was a true rip off.

If I had been notified that the hotel was under going a remodel and the elevators were not working, I would not have stayed here in the first place. I did not find out until I arrived at 11:30 pm to find stacks of sheet rock lining the halls and my room on the 5th floor with no working elevator. I had bags for a week long trip. Rennovation was going on during my stay but was only an inconvienence and not a problem. Room was clean. Free breakfast was fine and filling. Overall a good bargain for the money. We stayed in Austin for a weekend event about 5 miles from the hotel. The traffic is horrendous in that city and the area is less than stellar, but as one of the few rooms we could find in Austin under $200 a night, I have to say that I would stay here again unless I won the lottery. The place is undergoing renovations, however, I didn't see a huge difference in the design, furniture, or decor. A lot of the items are old and you can see the wear and stains on them. There is no hotel shuttle to airport. Only 2 restaurants within walking distance and you don't necessarily want to walk around this area at night.
