This was our second stay at the Vinoy, and we plan to make it a tradition when visiting St. Pete. This was the second time we stayed at the Vinoy. It truly has a resort feel, especially with the latest renovations. You can walk to wonderful restaurants and shops and museums and the pier, relax with cocktails on the front porch, work out in the fully equipped gym, sleep well in a luxurious bed, enjoy the heated pool and patio, get whatever help you […] need from the very responsive staff. That says it all - extraordinary service, even though I used my Hotels.com points for the 2 night stay - they treated us like high-paying guests. It was a great time, with excellent breakfast buffet!

I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The room was confortable and cozy as well all the amenities.

We were only at the Vinoy for one night but would have loved to linger longer as the hotel and its location are terrific.

Everything about our stay was outstanding especially the valet service.

I pay good money to stay at a hotel. But what I do not expect is the fees for what other hotels give you for free. Internet access for fifteen dollars a day? Parking for twelve dollars a day? A fee to have a refrigerator in your room? Upgraded to a room with a balcony, but your not allowed to smoke on it. Freds steakhouse was absolutely fabulous, great […] food, great service, and very quaint. Spent alot, but I have no problem spending money for great results. The restaurant in the old ballroom is pricey, but very nice. Great place to go for drinks in the evening. Clubhouse restaurant is also nice, short drive, and excellant sushi. Good location. The hotel was clean but under coustruction. We had to move rooms due to no water in one building. When we moved rooms the water in the new room diddn't stay hot for long. I am sure when the construction is done it would be a nice place to stay. 9/2011

We enjoyed this resort very much. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The property is beautiful and quiet. We will stay there again next time we are in the area.

we truely enjoyed our stay in this beautiful historic hotel. Evertythig was top notch and convenient to the downtown. Overlooking the harbour and being able to walk to many things was awesome, we'll be going back again!

I love this hotel and i was very upset when my money in my room came up missing! i had $500 dollars and $100 of it turned up mising, i told the mangement and they were very nice and put a $100 credit on my room, but i then was missing some mascara that was brand new also some new hair products. That just really bothers me that someone working at their […] hotel coul go through my things and steel from me! I will not be returning to this hotel. My wife and enjoyed our stay, the staff were great and very helpful. We would highly recommend the hotel. The whole area soundering the hotel was was very nice, more then enought resterents in the area, can't wait to go back.

The Vinoy is a gem of a classic hotel which has been beautifully restored. We stayed in the older section overlooking the tea garden and tropical garden which was charming. The essence of the old world charm combined with updated bedding and amenities made this a winner. My man and I enjoyed our trip immensely! The hotel was fabulous. We enjoyed every nook and cranny. Our favorite time had to be sitting out on the balcony at night sitting champagne listening to music! The weather was great. The food at the hotel was delicious. But it was the location that set the entire trip off!! Being able to walk around and explore […] St Pete was fun for us. The bars, and bands and that Yogurt shop. We stay one nigh at Vinoy and we love it. The location is the best and the view just beautiful. Book the hotel with the option with breakfast. It was the best breakfast .

This historic hotel is only 10 miles from my home, but I was invited to a holiday luncheon there in December and knew I had to stay there. The veranda alone was one of the most inviting and lovely parts of my stay. I met 2 other girlfriends there and we had one of the most memorable stays in our lives. Very nice facility. Very good overall experience. But you will pay for it. There are separate charges for everything, including internet and parking. St. Pete offers very reasonable parking in and around town, so I was surprised to learn it's a fee even to park yourself. There is free street parking available, so we were glad we asked. The restaurant […] was fantastic, but at a price. Again, you get what you pay for. There are many other options just down the street, but some were also a bit pricey. Location is awesome. Many shops, restaurants, bars, museums and waterfront all within walking distance. The room was well-appointed and very clean, reasonably quiet, very comfortable. Just keep in mind this is a very old hotel. Reminded me a little of Parker House in Boston. So it's a little dated, but very tasteful and well-maintained. Robes and Aveda products are provided. 4 star hotel with charm. Reminds one of old world Forida yet close to all sights (including Dali museum which was fantastic).

Hotel was in a great location. Unfortunately, there were a few things that were not so great! TOWELS - gray, thin and had big holes in them. ROBES - kind of light gray rather than white. I DON'T KNOW WHAT SERVICE THEY USE TO DO THE TOWELS AND ROBES BUT I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT THEY CHANGE. I AM HAPPY TO SAY THAT I HAD BROUGHT MY OWN FACECLOTHS. SINK - […] ring around the sink - they never washed the sink. I am a very neat person, therefore, I always put everything away so the maid did not have much to do. I bed was barely undone by me. To make the bed should have taken them 2 minutes at the most. Therefore, they had plenty of time to clean the bathroom. Unfortunately, not so. I don't think I would stay there again. Read more

This was a first time visit to St. Petersburg, I was very happy with the look & feel of resort and overall ambience of the veranda and lobby. The room was spacious & comfortable with all amenities in place. Great views of bay and located near pier and downtown. I was sad I had only one night here and would come back in a heartbeat.

I was visiting my son who lives very near Tropicana Field and could actually walk there from the hotel. It is also within walking distance to all the galleries and restaurants. The staff were great and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast on the porch with a visiting baby squirrel was delightful!

Especially visit the main dining room: it's a gorgeous space and the food and service were totally scrumptious. The price is reasonable for what you get. The Chihuly Collection, dramatic blown art glass, is a block away. When you want to travel a few blocks to a museum or restaurant or out to the pier take the Loop trolley bus for 25 cents.

I have been to some older hotels that have been restored, but nothing like this. Wonderful match of the old Florida Charm with all the expected perks at a fine modern resort. Lobby is fantastic and contains a little museum that discusses the history of the area, hotel and the restoration. Restaurants very good. Pool area is one of the best of any hotel […] - great service for drinks and snacks. Veranda outside lobby is unique, but at this time of year a little warm and humid, but tables, rockers, and service was perfect. Main restaurant had live jazz on Fri/Sat nights - looks like it was a 1920's ballroom perfectly restored in every detail. busy bar and lots of personal attention - good eats (sliders are killer) Room was on 5th floor and view of pool, and of the pier in the distance. Very large, bathroom was huge and modern with what you expect in a 5star place, but it also had color and romance of the old hotel. I would not hesitate to recommend or stay hear again. Neighborhood has lots of atcivities and restaurants. Went to Museum, Pier, and had brunch nearby. Inexpensive shuttle to see the Rays for a game - very prompt and efficient. Read more

Marchand and Alfresco restaurants were very nice, great food and staff. Disappointed with room decor: plastic desk chair in a historic hotel. Bathroom needed some repairs.
