Stayed for four nights in a double room facing the street. A bit noisy in the evening but otherwise everything was really nice, from the service to the room cleanliness. Walking distance from both the beach and the old-town. Breakfast better had at any nearby place.

Hotel staff unfriendly. Listing indicated all rooms remodeled March, 2011. The only rooms remodeled were in new building. At the price listed in Hotels.com we had to stay in old section. If we wanted the remodeled rooms, had to pay more. Bathroom horrible - couldn't even open the door all the way. Door hit the bed. Very noisy street if windows opened. […] Carpet filthy. It's not a 5 star hotel so don't expect one, but for the price we paid and what we got it was great. There's (an expensive) parking nearby but it was worth it, there are lots of restaurants, pubs and shops nearby and the beach is within 30 sec walking distance. Great location, I will be back again!

Room small and twin bed arrangement is two singles pushed together so you need to be very friendly with your travelling companion but overall very clean, freshly renovated and well priced for the area. Very friendly staff in reception. Good value breakfast. Wifi free but best in reception areas. Quiet location, particularly in our room -a windowless garden room. On Rue de France - near the shops and restaurants, yet only 100 metres away from Promenade des Anglais. Reasonable value .

Hôtel de la Fontaine is a charming hotel just one block from the Promenade des Anglais and the beach. It is also near many restaurants. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I absolutely love the small courtyard where you can have your breakfast. Every time I come to Nice, I stay at this hotel.

The Hotel is well located to travel around using public transport. U need a room at the back of the hotel as I think it wold be noisy at the front. The Hotel is clean and tidy and the staff are always happy to help you with any queries or questions about getting about. The no 98 bus from the airport stops at the top of the road and only costs 4 euro […] so no need for an expensive taxi. The hotel does a very good breakfast which is well worth the 11 euros it charges compared to eating outside. I've stayed there before and know it's a good place. I wasn't disappointed. The location is superb , near the centre, Promenade yet not in a noise zone. Wi-fi worked well. In room safe was also good (just big enough for my netbook computer). Room was a little small - I couldnt do my back exercises properly ! I didn;t take the breakfast.

Would recommend this hotel, only 10 minutes walk from Promenade and sea front. Even closer to main shopping area and restaurants. Hotel room was quite compact but very good value for money. Bathroon was absolutely spotlessly clean. No complaints from me and would definately go back again.

Having stayed in many hotels in france and throughout the world i would say that this hotel was a really pleasant surprise considering how reasonably priced it is. The hotel is in a really good location, if you dont know Nice you are well situated, close to the town, close to the beach, easy walking distant to the old town, trains,trams and buses. It […] will take you between 7 and 20 mins to get from the airport depending on the time of day. There is a carpark next door to the hotel which will cost you approx 20 euros per night which is about the average in Nice. The hotel staff are really nice and helpful, reception is manned 24 hours and the staff will help you with anything you need. Rooms are nice, we had room 46 which is at the back of the hotel, it was very quite and we were never disturbed by anyone, there is always hot water no matter what time of day or night you require it. Breakfast was not included in our package as we normally like to go out for breakfast, however the hotel has a lovely court yard that they offer breakfast in for 11 euros which was really nice, we ended up eating there every day! All that is fair about this hotel is its location and freindly/helpful front desk/staff. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in during our European holiday and was the worst by far. Our room was very small and cramped with ancient fittings, hardly any shelf space, no shower facilities, TV was so high up on a shelf to the extreme left of the […] bed that you had to stand up to view it. No space to sit and watch? Also extremely noisy with drainage from the bathroom above sounding like it was running through our room all night! We chose it for the one block away location in relation to the beaches. Spent three bad restless nights there and simply cannot recommend this hotel for the rate charged. This hotel is in a convenient location in St Remy and it was easy to find, as the hotel is signposted from the one-way circular road around the town. The (non balcony) room was small and basically furnished (by UK standards as it did not have a kettle or TV). However it was clean and it was serviced each day. Busses run roughly every hour from St Remy to Avignon and Arles (in the other direction). Both places are worth a visit. St Remy is a lovely quaint town with lots of cafe's & restaurants. We mainly eat at the nearby "Le Moulin Saint Bernard" as they did good food and was excellent value for money. Try their Pizzas. Visit the nearby Roman ruins at Ruines de Glanum and the hospital near to the ruins where Van Goch was a patient. Read more

Hotel Fontaine was situated by the Old city, and bus station, and one block from the Prom des Anglais, what could be better. We would certainly use this hotel again. We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad. De ligging is prima op een paar minuten lopen naar het strand. De oude stad is ook lopend prima te bereiken. De kamer is klein, maar zeer schoon met een keurige badkamer. We komen hier zeker terug mochten we weer naar Nice gaan.

Vi var veldig fornøyde. Hadde med en storpuddel førerhund som ble spesielt godt mottatt. Meget hjelpsomt personale. Lett å finne frem, nær Promenaden, stranden, gågater, restauranter, shopping. Kort vei til flybuss på promenaden. Parken og gamlebyen ca. 15 min unna. Vi fant lufteplass til hunden rundt kvartalet også. Hotellet har avtale med Blue Beach […] som ga oss og hunden luksusfølelse på stranden. Litt bratt å komme ut i vannet og mye bølger, men man kunne bruke en smal badebrygge med trapp ut til dypt vann. Ingen glutenfri frokost på hotellet, så vi spiste på hyggelige kafeer like ved. Eldre, tradisjonsrikt og rolig hotell som det var godt å komme tilbake til etter en aktiv dag. Passer godt for voksne. Der Aufenthalt im Hotel fanden wir toll! Die Lage des Hotels ist ruhig trotzdem Mitte in der Stadt, 5 Minuten zu Fuß bis zu Promenade. Man kann praktisch alles zu Fuß erreichen. Die Bedienung war immer sehr hilfsreich, man bekommt schon am Anfang alle nötige Informationen zu Lage, Einkaufmöglichkeiten, Touristenattraktionen etc... Die Bedienung spricht […] gut Englisch (nicht unbedingt zu erwarten in Frankreich). Das Zimmer war ziemlich klein, aber sauber und gut ausgestattet. Perfekt für ein langes Wochenende in Nizza.
