Beautiful grounds and facilities. We were there on a quiet weekend after Coachella, which perhaps made it more subdued than normal (a good thing). There are a number of pools, which makes it likely that you will find a family affair defining one or more particular spots, depending on what dynamic is staying near which pool. We were upgraded to a second […] story king casita with a kitchen, which would honestly make a pretty killer apartment. Clubby feel with touches of real class, but perhaps relative to the other factors such as season or event. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We had an absolute delightful stay at the La Quinta Resort & Club. They have pretty much all amenities you can think of and the whole resort is spectacular. Very family friendly, but it also offers "adult only" pools. The casitas are extremely roomy and quiet (sound coming from neighboring room was very muffled). There's always something going on at […] the main shopping/dining area and the pools are always clean, no wet towels left behind, random free flavored shaved ice, tons of fun for kids at the main pool area, and so much more. The dining experience was better than expected and they offer a vast variety of healthy choices. Yes, it's more expensive than other resorts, but I'd say definitely worth it. Oh, and the lighting in/around the casitas area was spectacular. Very romantic environment! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful Place, Terrible Service!"
La Quinta is one of the most beautiful spots in Palm Springs and the physical resort remains incredible. However, i have never had such uncaring, unresponsive staff in a luxury hotel, particularly one under the Waldorf Astoria brand! Long check in lines, ignored by the waitstaff in a half empty restaurant, an attitude throughout that said "we don't […] care." If it was just one person, I would have chalked it up to a bad day, but this was every staff member except one. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Our experience was fabulous. Everything was pristine, both inside the room and throughout the grounds. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was relaxing, inviting, comfortable, and just made you feel good to be there. Highly recommended.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice, Classy Resort With Interesting History"
Stayed at La Quinta twice now. The resort is large with impeccable landscaping and structures which are pleasing to the eye. We stayed at a Vintage Casita which are located central to the resort and close to they lobby - they are far apart, unlike some of the newer areas but there is considerable noise in the form of foot traffic, electric carts and […] almost daily landscaping activities. We stayed in two different rooms and each had a bed which we felt was a bit soft for our taste. Like many resorts, there is a correlation between cost and quiet - the more you pay the quieter the room. During our stay we utilized many of the 50 swimming pools to take in the character of the many nice areas. The older pools tend be larger and deeper, with the exception of the two main pools. Many of the pools have hot tubs close by and seem to be maintained quite well. The fitness center is well equipped. The resort seems to really cater to large corporate groups so seeing people with name tags congregating toward an outdoor buffet is common. There are some large rooms for conferences available. Outside the resort there is a nearby path which runs along La Quinta Cove which is excellent for walking, running or bike riding. There are good dining option$ available in the resort but the nearby La Quinta Village also has some restaurants. A visit to the nearest grocery store or drugstore (Longs or Walgreen) will probably require a car. Overall, I recommend La Quinta Resort. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This place is incredible. Loved my stay! They have everything you need!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Fun resort for the kids and adults. Great rooms that surround private pools was great. The condition of the actual room was very poor. It was dirty, carpets stained, furniture had huge scratches and the bathroom tile was chipped and cracked. It's a pricey hotel for that sort of condition. But the restaurants were good and lots to choose from. Close […] to town and a target if u need anything. Main pool was fun also and adult pool was very hip and cool. "Not what I expected"
My wife and I selected this for a one night get away after a business meeting. It was very disappointing and nothing like the photos online. The room itself was fine but was connected to three other rooms to form a quad. The walls were thin, and everyone was sitting on the outside patios drinking beer out cans and smoking cigarettes...hardly luxurious. […] Parking was difficult and the restaurants and bars were all closed before midnight. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't romantic at all...picture more like Ocean City, NJ! Beautiful property,, excellent service.. room right by the pool all great.. Except when you have a squeaky floor above you and the guest on the floor above me wakes up at 5am and you can hear every creak as he walks back and forth.. when you can hear water drops from his shower.. very very annoying..Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Amazing spring break location!"
The grounds are amazing:)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Booked three nights and checked out after one. Was given room in the corner of the property, facing the parking lot. Far away from the main resort. I asked to switch rooms and was given a similar isolated room. Not worth the premium price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"For the money, I was undewhelmed"
We booked 2 nights with some friends. Upon arrival, our friends upgraded and we were offered the same upgrade, for a price of course. We had no problem paying for the upgrade but within 2 hours of checking in, we were told that our room had an "engineering problem" and we would need to be moved. Our next room was nothing like the upgrade that we paid […] for so we asked to be moved somewhere else. They suggested that we take our original room, which was fine with us although the proximity to our friends was terrible. Our new room was not what we had booked either, as we specifically booked a room with a tub. They assured us that we'd be "taken care of" thought I really don't know what that meant and still don't. Overall, we had a nice vacation since the property is beautiful, the weather was nice and intimate pools were comfortable. It's just disappointing that for over $400/night, our room was very old, very boring and was connected to our neighbors by a shared door so thin that I got to wake up to their blow drier each morning. Try to stay away from the 300 buildings. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

This was a special trip for me and my niece to celebrate her 16th bday. I wanted it to be a trip for her to look back upon fondly. Anyway, the staff at the hotel was great, but the room was a little dated which wasn't too bad, i thought charming, but the younger generation thought old - beds were comfy though. My issues were, the door keys didn't work, […] the air conditioner didn't cool the room and our shower didn't drain - stood in an inch of water. I understand how these things can happen, but all in the same day and we only stayed one night due to the expensiveness. I wanted to surprise my husband for a weekend getaway there, but now I think I'll look elsewhere. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Careful what you bargain for."
I've stayed here before and really enjoyed the room and the stay. This time I booked a night thru Expedia and got a good price but the room they have thru Expedia was old and subpar. It Smelled its age and it was directly adjacent to the main driveway. We complained and they have us another room that didn't smell, but it was on the edge of the property […] with the patio 5 ft from the street. Lame!! Next time Ill pay the extra and get the "La Quinta" experience as it should be. Go Deluxe or don't go. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not worth the money this stay"
I stay at La Quinta each year in March and this year's stay was nowhere near what I should have received for the price I paid for the room. The room was also significantly smaller than what we have had before for half the price. We […] won't be coming back to La Quinta any more. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Booked this place based on great reviews and the fact that it's a Waldorf property. I had high expectations. Check in and out took forever because the front desk was under staffed. Booked a king and got two doubles. First room was tired and dumpy--fabric ripped on chairs, lamination peeling off the table. Huge disappointment. They moved us to a better […] room but it was still very dated. Had a pitcher of margaritas and a flatbread pizza delivered poolside and it was $90--ouch. "Second time to La Quinta"
Second time at La Quinta Resort; third time to the area. Stayed last year at Rancho Las Palmas and La Quinta is MUCH nicer. Grounds are spectactular. Yes, some of the prices at the resort are high, but that is typical for this type of resort. Wonderful massage at the spa. Even the basic rooms are spacious. Saw some comments about the rooms being "dated"; […] did not really feel that comment is warranted (or maybe I am just not as picky). Only complaint - not much going on after 10:00. No main bar area like many hotels, only bars in the restaurants, so no central place to grab a drink after dinner. However, we will definitely return to La Quinta! The location and grounds of this hotel will take your breath away....the flowers, the palm trees, golf courses, pools...just spectacular. "Great hotel, Terrible Showers"
Looks like the bathrooms haven't been updated in 15 years, but the worse part was that the shower head stood about 5'3 in height. I literally had to bend over to get under it given I'm 5'9. Other than that a nice property and great service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good but room condition still needs improvement"
All together good but not great. NEGATIVES: The TV was mostly static and remote control slow to operate. The sofas and pillows in the room were dated and uncomfortable. The chain lock on the entry door was broken. The slats on the shutters allow morning light in and the drapes only allow about 20% coverage. Had to hang towels on the curtain rods. "Beautiful grounds, mediocre service"
This is a Waldorf Astoria hotel so sets up certain expectations. It is a beautiful property with casitas (Spanish cottage style) all over the huge property with wonderfully landscaped environment. Tons of pools and hot tubs. Restaurants, grounds, and lobby all visually pleasing. And the hotel was one of the original ones in the area where many of the […] 20-40's Hollywood set used to vacation. The down side: The room was disappointing (small, dated, carpeting needs updated, wifi didn't work, tv/digital cable a pain to navigate....granted, we paid the lowest price available so had a small room and was placed on the edge of the property). The biggest disappointment was the service. For such an upscale hotel the service was mediocre to aweful: the servers at the outside bar were chatting with eachother ignoring us and didn't take our order for ages, then once they did, our appetizers took forever to come and the drinks were watered down. Adobe restaurant service was only OK with many of the servers not being English-speaking and merely placing your food on the table and walking away. The main poolside service was so-so, depending on which server you had (the cabana/towel girl was wonderful but the poolside servers never smiled, acted bored, and one young man even told us that he couldn't serve us at a table unless he had permission from the cabana girl so walked our food to the lounges even though we were sitting at a table in a cabana. The massage was painful. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
