"2012 Cacun Trip"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
This was great place to stay, no screaming sring breakers. This is an adult oriented all inclusive hotel. The food was excenllent, you have to try the rotisserie chicken on the beach!

"Amazing Location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Na Balam got some underserved poor scores. The location happened to be the best location on the island (as far as beaches go), and fairly convenient to excitement of down town. The grounds were spectacular, and for such a reasonable price. Front desk and beach bar staff were not amazing, but not bad either. They could do some training on customer service in order to make it a more magical experience, but all in all, it was acceptable service.
"HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 2, 2012
Wow! What an amazing time we had staying at the Royal Solaris!! We spent our 19th anniversary at this all inclusive resort for 4 days and never even had the slightest urge to go into town or leave the hotel. Friendly staff checked us in. They were knowledgeable, efficient, and there was no waiting. The Time Share lady who offered us a "quick tour" of the hotel but did not get pushy or upset when we told we just wanted to get to our room and then hit the beach. She asked that we come see her, but we never did and we never got bothered with Time Share talk the rest of the time. The multiple pools looked like lots of fun, but hey...we have a pool at home so we spent every waking minute at the beautiful beaches. The "vendors" walking up and down the beach were not pushy at all and after each one made their 1st pass/effort, they didn't bother us the rest of the day. Benjamin and Kike (pronounced kee-kay), were our beach waiters over the weekend and both of them were absolutely tremendous!! We could not have asked for a better experience. The room was clean, it had a comfortable bed, and plenty of water pressure for our showers. Oh...and pay the little extra to get the beach view room...spectacular views of the sunrise and gorgeous blue waters!!

The Cancun Hotel Zone rests on a slit of land bound by a lagoon and the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Sunseekers crowd the white-sand beaches. At night, the action moves to the restaurants, clubs, and bars that line Boulevard Kukulcán, the area’s main artery. This road passes by the El Rey ruins, believed to be a king’s tomb.

The hotel is older but still the best in Cancun with excellent service.
"Upgrade to Club Floor"
If you have more than one in your party, then the extra money for the club floor is well worth it given that you can eat and drink (including wine) there three times a day. You can also get bottles of water throughout the day. Food and drink elsewhere throughout the resort is expensive. BTW, this is a beautiful property and a Ritz, so somewhat conservative […] in decor. Staff is very attentive without being overbearing and always pleasant. Read more
"The Ritz - Exactly what you would expect!"
Although we only spent two nights at the hotel we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, especially the romantic private dinner on the beach! The grounds and beach are spectacular and well manicured...Was disappointed that the water temperature in the pool was jacuzzi hot! Not refreshing at all and an oversight by the hotel. I really enjoyed using the gym as […] well...club quality equipment and very clean...The service was impeccable as can be expected and the staff was very friendly! Highly recommended... Read more
"You can't beat the RC in CANCUN!"
Super clean rooms. Love the lightly scented fragance in the air as you walk into the lobby and room. The beach services get 5 stars! Most relaxing place on earth:)

"Excellent service and staff"
We were especially impressed by the staff at the Fontina restaurant. The food and service were excellent.
"Poor receptionist"
When I checked-in the hotel, someones were processing check-in, therefore I was on the line to wait for my turn. However, the receptionist allowed the other one to queue jumping and ignored me without apologizing.

"Lovely, and yet"
They were clearly dealing with staffing cuts because the place was very empty. The best was the cooking class with Chef Rory. He was a great deal of fun and the class was superb. There were lots of families, and they should have done a better job of keeping the kids away from the adult pool.
"Best Service in Cancun"
First time in Cancun but I felt this hotel offered really great service. Friendly staff, Ritz-Carlton class service, and great views from the room. The beach-side cafe offered great ceviche, guacamole, soups, and margaritas. The breakfast buffet is fantastic- order huevos rancheros or motulenos from the egg guy....absolutely to die for!
Read more
"Ritz Carlton"
。。 Read more
