Everything was great at the Holiday Inn. The only problem was the restaurant. It really had poor management. The dining room was closed and they offered a full service meal to eat in the cubby hole of a bar. Prices were high and the atmosphere was lousy. The hotel was clean and employees were friendly. The only problem was that the air conditioning system in the bedroom did not work properly. Due to wear, tear and soil, hallway carpets need to be replaced.

After checking multiple surrouding hotels , on Hotel.com , the only reason i booked this hotel was because i wanted two rooms for my brother and i who were going to the final round of Fedex playoff's at Beth Page . The hotel is very clean and easy to get too. The staff was great. Rooms were very clean and the hotel is 1 minute away from NJ TPKE. There are a couple of good places to eat in Hightstown also. I would stay here again if I have too.

I called the hotel early the morning of our stay to request late check-in. I was told it was not a problem. When I arrived at 9:30 p.m. I was told that they had not received proper payment from Expedia. Even though I had paid in full with my credit card I was not given a room for over 40 min. My daughter and I waited at the lobby while the fellow behind […] the desk argued with the Expedia representative. I don't know whom was at fault or why the issue was not being resolved. All I knew was that we were exhausted and needed to be up by 6:00 a.m. the next morning and we were kept waiting for close to an hour. I finally demanded to see the manager and told them I was going to go stay at another hotel nearby. We were promptly given a room. The next morning I found an invoice under our door indicating that we needed to pay for the room. I refused to pay again for the room. I've yet to see if I was charged twice for this terrible experience. Can't say I would enthusiastically recommend this hotel, but may give it a second chance. Read more

We had to change our room because the door would not lock. The bathroom was very small and basin area and toilet were cramped space. The bathroom floor and woodwork were not clean and the room itself could use more vacuuming. The sheets were fresh and clean though. The room was clean, the service friendly, but I have to downgrade my rating because we were double-billed for the room. My credit card was charged by both Holiday Inn and Hotels.com. Our in-room movies didn't work; they kept cutting out every 15 minutes, so we asked not to billed for the two we tried. They gave us credit for one, but not the other […] because we watched it to the end. It took about 3 hours to watch a 100-minute movie because we had to keep re-loading it. We complained the first day, but no change was made for the second day. Somehow in the transaction to remove even the one transaction, our card was charged for the whole stay, even though we had paid through Hotels.com. This shouldn't happen. I needed to stay here to study for an exam the next morning. Long story short- their door to go outside which was near my hotel room door was broken so people were banging on the door to try and get others attention to open it. I complained and nothing happened. A truck was running in the parking lot ALL night. I complained to the front desk and they […] said they would investigate. Never got resolved. People were sitting underneath my hotel window talking on their cell phones and you could hear everything. My room key didnt work 2 times and I had to go back and get it changed. And the worst part of all, i saw a bunch of mosquitos all over the room bouncing on the walls and ceilings and when i woke up in the morning, i had mosquito bites allll over my arms and saw a bunch of dead mosquitos in the bathroom all over the sink. We booked our hotel through Hotels.com. When we arrived at the hotel, they put a deposit on our card for any damages. Which we thought was normal. When we checked out they charged my card the same amount I ALREADY paid throught hotels.com. Upon arrival we were issued our room. it was supposed to be a room with two queen beds, I was traveling with my son. The room had one king bed. I tried calling the front desk and did not get an answer. We took all of our luggage back down to the front desk. There was not anyone at the counter for at least 10 minutes. When he finally arrived we informed […] him of the situation and we were told that there were not any rooms left with two queens. I questioned this because this is what we had reserved. The clerk then had an attitude and dissappeared into the back room for about 15 minutes. Finally a woman came out looking very flustered, we explained our situation to her, she immediately found a new room for us and never appologized for her coworkers behavior. The next morning we went to have breakfast in the restaurant, it took about 5 minutes to get seated, they were not busy. We did not see a waitress for atleast 20 minutes,she only stopped because I stopped her in her tracks and complained. People that came in after us had already been waited on. After placing our order we received our drinks, the cola that we ordered tasted like chemicals, I went to the vending machine and purchased one and carried it into the restaurant. When our food came out they did not get either of our orders correct. At this point we had been there over an hour and I had enough. We got up and told the hostess that we would not be eating our meals and did not pay for them. We had a horrible expierence at this hotel!!! Read more

Hotel was very clean and located conveniently to Six Flags. The pool was nice. Hotel was nice and quiet, did not hear any noises from nearby rooms etc. Complimentary breakfast at the restaurant was great, but the dinner choices at it were limited. Great diner located down the street!

It made it difficult to sleep at night. The lack of proper curtains also cut down on your privacy. The Holiday Inn is a short drive from Great Adventure. It is a perfect choice if you have a long drive after a late night at the park. Check-in was fast and easy. The room was very clean. Nothing spectacular but very comfortable.

Very nice hotel. 4-star, no, but really nice for what I was looking for. Wanted to stay far enough away from Six Flags to save money on hotel and this was a great bargain. Staff very nice and accomodated late check-out since hotel was slow. Must have car.

Overall travel experience was great. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Hotel had everything we needed. Breakfast selection was amazing as well.The only bad experience was having a clogged bath tub. Lastly, the front desk receptionist was very helpful in accommodating us and gave us an extension on check out.
