Over all the room was clean. The shower head was broken. It was as if I was showering with a garden hose. Not sure if was missing a piece.

The room was nice and comfortable bUT the customer service at check in was horrible. 3 people at the desk, no one made eye Conant or even stated they would be with us, just kept busy doing nothing and the 1 staff member that was finishing with a customer was telling one to assist us but still was rude. The redeeming grace was the woman who checked us out the following morning...so nice, greater us with a smile and actually had a conversation with me!

This was the worst hotel stay possible. We checked in late and just needed to get in a room. The staff was not professional and were chatting it up while checking us in, which is why we had to wait so long to get a room. We were given the wrong directions to our room and when I came back down no apologies were given. The room was outside the hotel and reeked of smoke. It was very noisy as there was some sort of generator right below. By 5am some construction or whatever was going on and men were yelling at each other. I could hear machinery turning on like industrial machinery. We tried to sleep through the noise but by 7:30 aaid started pounding on the door. I abruptly opened the door in anger and she just said oh, are you checking out. I said we just fell asleep and you just woke us up. Again we tried to sleep and by 9am another made knocks on the door for the same thing. This was a terrible stay. I should be the one paid for this stay.

Hotel was good. Upon arrival there were two customers being helped and it just seemed to take a long time to check in compared to other hotels I have stayed at.

Among many hotels I have stayed all over the country and the world, this is the most horrible one. The hotel is old, dirty, and smelly. The staff is ok until you let them know that you find their hotel is in a very bad condition. Please do yourself a favor, do not sign up there.

When I checked in I was sent to a room where the maid was still cleaning & watching TV. I was reassigned a room where I found a large winged cockroach and had no hot shower water the next morning. The furniture & bed mattress was circa 1970 and in disrepair. The pool was closed for repair and the elevator operating certificate had expired months prior. I came back to my room one day & found my room door ajar. I notified the front desk that afternoon and they responded by saying, "it happens". The business partners I met in Concord told me that the hotel used to be a Hilton but was shut down, then purchased by Clarion. The hotel appears to be a work in progress. However, Clarion does not advise their customers before hand.

Well first of all water pipes maid very loud air hammer noise when people used them, this was all night. #2 elect. On the wall next to beads was out, no lamp, no phone or out let to charge cell homes. #3 floor was very dirty. #4 no remote for tv. Staff was doing the best thay could , under the sercomstanses.

Lobby and reception area have been renovated and were nicely appointed. But the rooms are in need of serious update. A/C didn't cool properly (thankfully the weather in April is still comfortable in northern California). The mattress seemed to be worn down. That said, this is the most affordable property in the area. Okay for an overnight. Not much else.

For a place to sleep, it's good. But as a place to stay.... The rooms and souroundings are clean and pleasant. It is quiet And peaceful. But, there are no refrigerators, microwaves or restaurants In the immediate area. There are restaurants near by, but it requires a car And there is a slight problem with access if you are coming from the Concord City area. Beware of no u-turn signals (you can't see the sign at night). There is one restaurant in the hotel, breakfast is okay.

Jerry, Thank you for sharing. Our Tower rooms do have refrigerators, microwaves, and coffee makers, and we also have a microwave in our lobby for our guests' convenience. In less than 1/4 of a mile on Diamond Blvd is Willows Shopping Center with any restaurants and shops, and 1/2 mile on Contra Costa Blvd are many choice of restaurants and Sun Valley Mall. I am so disappointed with this stay and will be hesitant to book with another Clarion again. It was very insensitive of the front desk to put a single woman in a ground floor room with the door opening to parking lot. The neighboring units had loud young kids on all sides, people smoking on the balconies and in the parking lot - the stench of cigarettes permeating the room. At one point, there was a gin and tonic party in the parking lot. I went to the desk to request another room mentioning that even our honeymoon hotel room with bullet holes in the wall was better than that room. I received a "newly remodeled" room in the tower. Remodeled when? The early 90's? Rather than cigarette smell, the room and hallway reek of cherry/vanilla bathroom spray probably to cover the old stale cigarette smell. I gagged and held my breath in the hallways. While miles ahead of the first room, the room fell short. For the second night's stay, my key was deprogrammed. Tired from the day, I had to trudge back down to the desk to have them re-programmed. The second night neighbors slammed doors until well after 11pm and attempted to come through the door between our rooms. Food around the hotel lacked healthy options. Traffic is a nightmare. Over all... Very disappointed.

Our tower rooms are furnished with microwaves,refrigerators, and microwaves. We are working closely with our security company and local police department to ensure that guests do not party in the parking lot, etc. We do have a full restaurant and bar for such events. Not what the pictures on the Web site looked like AT ALL. Not worth the 107 a night. I've stayed at nicer motel 6's. Not to mention the toilets overflowing and the police driving through the parking lot checking license plates for stolen cars or doing a warrant sweep..I hated it here and the beds SUCK.

This is the second time I have stayed here. My Husband and I are planning on returning. What I like the most is the comfort of the beds. If the bed isn't comfortable I don't sleep well.

I have business meetings I have to attend in Walnut Creek and to avoid traffic, I usually stay at your hotel. I enjoy staying there, except for the knock at the door every time by staff. Soon as I enter my room, within 5 to 10 minutes a staff will knock on my door, or try to open the door and say, they need to do room cleaning, or thought the room was out of service. When clearly I was able to book the room. It's annoying and it make me feel like they are trying to figure out if I am doing something illegal. I will try this hotel maybe one more time, and if I get a knock on my door about some weird random reason, I will not book here again. Thanks

A great deal if you are working in The City sporting a very short drive to BART. Great little restaurant and bar in the hotel. In the challenge to find a fairly priced, clean and comfortable hotel in a good neighborhood - this one should be in the list.

Badly in need of renovations..it was like a cheap roadside motel with sheer like curtains to the outside that made me uncomfortable about being exposed to the drunk folk outside the door smoking cigarettes all night on the balcony. The others guests were trashy and the room was clean but dingy with outdated beat up furniture. Honestly I could have paid 60 dollars for a cheap roadside hotel and had the same experience. The staff was really nice

Motel was around the corner from a major shopping area which made several chain restaurants available. Bed was very comfortable and individual heat/air units kept the room temperature under control with warm days and very cold nights.

Had to check in late. Room still available. Couldn't figure out drapes as there were two (one hidden) plus side panels. Tried calling desk but phone did not work. Went down stairs to change rooms but was reassured there was a heavy drape to block out parking lot lights. Forgot to put do not disturb sign on door since I was checking out the next day. Maid knocked around 7:15. All in all, good experience.

Not my usual hotel I stay at when I am in Concord for work. Everything was booked so choose this hotel. Rooms and hotel are a little dated but was clean and front desk staff was very friendly and eager to please.

Very noisy. The heater/air conditoning very noisy. Parking lot noisy,, Room very dated. No fan in bathroom. Phone did not work, lights out in the sink area. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast very nice.

Carpet was stained, hotel looked trashy inside, toilet was too big for the bathroom so they notched out the door so it would close without hitting the toilet. Would not stay here again. The only thing I liked was the location.

The room was very large and clean, but on the out-dated side. Very small bathroom. It was dark when I got there and had to leave the door open to get enough light in to find a lamp on, which was across the room.

Everything was fine, other than someone tried opening the door with a key. The door opened but thank God I had the top lock on. I'm guessing it was someone working there bc their key worked. Other than that, the customer service front desk was great.

The stay was alright. It was a bit smaller than expected, had no fridge and no microwave. I suppose I assumed the hotel would have these comforts but if it was clear before staying it would have been nice to know.

It took me 35 minutes to check in. The line (on a Wednesday night) went out the door. There was one haggard lady trying her best to check everyone in. Very apologetic and kind, but they should have had more staff on the desk. The flooring was stained. As was the toilet and tile. The room smelled like strong disinfectant which soon abated after I turned on the AC unit which worked well. The bed was comfy.

Barry, I apologize that your check-in time took so long. Our Front Desk Supervisor has been advised of your challenges; and we are working on changing lunch break times, etc; to insure that our guests are checked-in more quickly. We are currently having our carpets professionaly cleaned and our staff is working dilegently to improve the cleanliness of the guest rooms. I started my new position as General Manager in October. We have already made many positive changes, and are looking forward to more changes. We currently have Kareoke on Friday nights in our bar. Lovely stay. I even extended by one day. Front desk staff were incredible. Guest services totally on top of their game. Staff in the restaurant couldn't have been nicer. So here are some tips, because I wrote a lousy review a month ago. Get a room in the tower. It only costs a little bit more. Those rooms are cleaner, quieter and nicer. Definitely worth a little extra. If you want a free breakfast, join the Clarion loyalty program. It's free to join. If you have to pay the lowest rate, ask to be high up so you don't get the noise from the laundry room. And ask for a room away from the elevators.

I was never able to reach the front desk. Every time I called I received a busy signal.It took 45 mins to check in due to lack of staff and computer problems. I asked for top floor and handicapped room. I received first floor and non handicapped room.

This hotel is next to a main freeway, and the rooms are solid-glass front so the traffic noise is inescapeable. In addition it is under the flight path for the local airport, so small noisy planes wake you up early in the morning. Housekeeping starts knocking on the door at 8 AM. Between all this I got next to no sleep, which is my main need at a hotel! Very few TV channels, horribly slow internet and no breakfast combine for very little value for your money.

The hotel itself was nice enough and conveniently located. It is an older hotel, so I wasn't expecting a whole lot. The room we had was very small. We had a room to sleep four with two queen sized beds, and I could walk from the entrance door to the back of the room in less that 10 steps. The mattresses were due to be replaced, as both had sagging in the middle and were not even semi firm. There were limited outlets for electronic devices; one on the shared night stand, one on the small desk lamp, one on the wall next to the desk, and one near the sink which was shared with a hair dryer. The door didn't fit the door-frame around the bottom half of the door, so we had to place a towel at the base of the door to keep at least some of the cold air from entering (the room had an exterior entrance). The bathroom was about the size of a closet, just big enough for a toilet and tub/shower combination. There was visible dirt in the bathroom around the base boards and in the shower tiles.

The room had a foul smell. There were cobwebs on the ceiling, the bathroom sink would not drain and the bathroom was very dirty to say the least also the tub was cracked
