"Room price not worth the Anguish !"
Stayed Monday night, checked out on Tuesday ! Was told at the front desk by an African American woman that Manager on duty was on a conference call but she would tell him to release the $200 room deposit (for a $100 room) that is required by, guess what, the old "policy" statement ! Ridiculous policy, read previous reviews, this is a serious problem for the Clarion. Told on Wednesday morning that the General Manager Mary Ann would be calling me back to resolve as would not be removed until Friday. No call back, 5:30 I called back and was told she was out all week. Employee communication is unacceptable. Reviews obviously mean nothing to management as behavior does not change. Stayed 3 nights over 12 day period, never again. Hilton, Crowne Plaza, Marriott here we come, you can't possibly be as incompetent as the Clarion staff.

Worked out just fine for what we expected and price was ok ! Carpets cleaned on 4th floor during our stay created a moldy smell in our hallway. Too many people trying to get in back door without key ! Staff very accommodating. Thank you

The shower did not maintain its temperature. The fluctuations between hot and cold made for a very uncomfortable shower....The noise level outside the room was ridiculous. I felt like I was at a cheap motel in the ghetto. Thoroughly disappointed☹

"Great Staycation Getaway"
I live in town, but took a little "stay cation". The room was very comfy, with a cozy bed, great tv, and comfortable shower. I used the fitness facility, which was very nice, with new equipment, and well-maintained. I joined their hotel chain membership club for free and in return received a fabulous, free all-you-can eat breakfast, while watching Good Morning America on a tv right there in the dining room. The service was great from all employees throughout the hotel. I was a little concerned that the noise from their nearby rooftop HVAC was going to disturb my sleep, but I slept like a baby. Wonderful staycation for me and I look forward to doing it again sometime.

"Disappointed"
Room was cold. The heater was difficult to operate and there were no additional blankets. I requested a blanket and it was never delivered. 3 lamps had either burned out bulbs or they were missing; room was dark. Carpet was old and stained. Hostesses in the restaurant were very nice; pleasant! I won't stay there again!

"Fantastic staff and a great place to stay"
I had a great 4-night stay and the staff were extremely helpful, especially Joanne and Lacy. I had a minor problem the first night and the hotel quickly resolved my concern in the morning. I would not hesitate to return or recommend the Concord Clarion.

"Extremely noisy, old motel rooms"
This place is at the bottom of the barely acceptable range. Let not the refurbished lobby pictures distract you from the fact that most of the hotel, particularly the rooms in the right wing, are 60-s style motel rooms with leaky windows, noisy environment, and no opaque drapes (yes, anyone can see you inside). A shower head was missing, light bulbs burned out. Around 0600hrs a howling turbine or fan comes repeatedly on making you believe you are tied to a jet engine. Only good part: the Teriyaki chicken wings in the bar. In general, way to expensive for what is offered.

"Overpriced for the quality."
This is a very TIRED hotel that has not been updated nor improved in several decades. The hotel security didn't exist - for example, the door latch was covered with painters tape so that the building would not lock. The carpets were stained and torn. Breakfast was not included except for overcooked coffee. The accommodations did not include a microwave nor refrigerator. Housekeeping was poor - dirty glasses which we left out in plain sight were not replaced. It was over priced for the condition and location.

"Not worth the money"
I have tried different hotels in Concord and this is NOT one I will stay at again. The customer service was the only good thing about it. The hotel is old and has not been well maintained. The room smelled but so did the hallway. I was disappointed and honestly almost drove home for the night instead of staying there.

"Great location"
Good room. The fans on the roof of the building next door was very loud. People were drinking in the parking lot and security walked past them talking on his cellphone and didn't say anything to them. Lobby was very nice

Value was good. Property shows age, especially in public areas. Some updating in evidence, but more needs to be done. Room was comfortable and clean but wallpaper pealing and bathroom fixtures in need of repair ( bathroom was clean)!

Comfortable and nice staff. Hotel a bit rough around the edges, missing baseboards, one outside wall loosing its facade, security locks missing on outside doors...wiring hanging out. Needs some maintenance!

"Good and Bad"
The first room we were given smelled like smoke. What was amazing about the service, is that the hotel clerk did not hesitate to give us a new room and upgraded us to the tower. I appreciated this prompt service and me feel great about my stay. Thank you. However, it did take 48 hours for you to return the security deposit, which is unacceptable.

"Not the greatest but close to a lot"
Stayed here for work. Hotel is old. Carpet in room had several stains. No fridge or microwave. Breakfast was good (usual muffins, bread, pastries, eggs, sausage/bacon, juices, etc.). The one good thing is that this hotel is w/in a mile of Target/Ross/Home Goods in one direction and Old Navy/Claim Jumper/Krispy Kreme in the other direction.

It was a nice room however not what I would expect for the price. They charge a $200 dollar deposit which you get back in 7-10 days, I have never heard of a deposit especially that high. It was quiet and clean.

"Expecting More..."
My room was clean and comfortable for Clarion standards. Although my TV did not work, nor was there sufficient power to charge my phone and computer overnight. If you are arriving late make sure to eat before you arrive. There was no restaurants within the hotel or 1 mile walking distance after 10:30pm on week night open for business.

stayed two nights. room not made up after 1st night due to staffing problems? did not receive a receipt when checking out due to computer problems. staff said they would email my receipt to me that night. that was 4 days ago. it is a shame and very disappointing that a facility as nice as the clarion could not provide a positive review. on the plus side, we had reservations and check in went off without a glitch. we requested a handicap room and our request was satisfied/

Close to Interstate 680 North and South. Close to Sun Valley Mall. Problem with one entrance door, room keys do not open. This has been an issue for over 2 years. Need to clean better around outside of entrance/exit doors.

I was on the third floor and the band played until 12:45.... I have video of a horrible stay.... No parking, had to walk a distance.... Sink clogged.... overall for a business trip to wake up fresh, hummmm didn't happen.... Never will stay again....

"Major, major problems"
Our first room's air conditioner did not work. Nor did the second's. The only remaining room was given to a couple whose hot water was not working. And our toilet overf!owed (no solids). The manager tried really, really hard, but the hotel needs to be shut down for a week, and major maintenance should be done.

"The halls reeked of air freshener."
Kind of dumpy, the halls reeked of overpowering air freshener spray, the room was just okay. Would not stay there again.

"Hotel is run down, looks worn out"
The hotel carpets, especially in the hallways - awful. Design of room & paint-out of date no plug outlets , no acres for chargers, no water bottles
