Had a great stay in this hotel. Very friendly staff. Was nice to receive a gift bag at check in, free upgrade, and free drink in the on-site lounge (with 20 or so VLT's). Also nice restaurants on site and poo.

The bed was terrific! The staff was wonderful! I will come back to stay there, and had it made a favorite hotel to my company so others I work with can enjoy as well.The location is perfect, not downtown but close enough. There are several choice eating places and any type of store you may need.

Check in was easy and the room was very comfortable. Bathroom was small but completely usable. This hotel was perfectly clean and they give you cookies for a night time sweet. I would definitely stay here again.

I was very disappointed in this hotel. I checked in and when I got to the room is was hot. I lowered the air to the lowest setting and finally determined that the air was not working at all. After calling the front desk and complaining, about an hour later, I was moved to another room. When I entered it was also warm. I lowered the thermostat to the […] lowest setting and the air was trickling out of the vent. I left and came back after several hours and the room was still warm. At 10:30 that evening, I called the front desk for help and all they did was offer to bring a fan to the room. I was traveling with a group of other people and they had similar complaints about their rooms being warm and uncomfortable. The gym was pathetic. Read more

clean, recently updated. Quirky lobby (with bird cage) but nice simple design in the rooms. Rooms are small. Mine had two queen beds and didnt fit much else. Rooms with one bed should have more room to maneuver. Several restaurants around the hotel but otherwise pretty far from the center. Need to take a taxi or come with a car.

I stayed there because I needed a good rest. No problem, that's what I got. Quiet, Comfortable and clean enough. Lots of eating options nearby and at hotel. Rennovation work in the building did not have any impact on my stay at all. I would return.

I gotta start by saying this hotel was ok. Comfortable for what it was, but I didn't think it was great. The lobby area wasn't all that clean and most of the time we were there, one of the elevators was out of service. It is a hotel that is definitely stuck in the 70's but it is getting a needed remodelation. Btw, if I'd known the hotel was under construction, […] I would have never stayed there. The hotel should make people aware that is going renovations so people can decided, I booked a week at the hotel over Christmas and thankfully the workers were out, but the construction was really annoying, you could hear the construction going on outside. Also, this hotel I guess caters to older crowd, as most of the people we saw were older. The elevator smelled kinda bad, the carpets need to be replaced and I hope after a renovation it looks. More modern. On the plus side , the beds were large enough (2 queens) , very comfortable , pillow top mattress and plush bedding. The bathroom was kinda small and the robes were a very nice touch. We had room service which was fast and the food was good. The restaurant downstairs ( we tried one for breakfast ) was adequate. The housekeeping service though, I thought was crazy. They actually called my room twice in a week to ask me is I wanted housekeeping service since they were leaving early. Really?.. What kind of hotel does that?.?? we arrived and were treated with respect. The best waitress in the dinning room was Ashley. We were traveling after recently retiring and not aware of the customs and she helped us through our unknowledgeable questions with grace. She was very attentive to her customers and always welcomed everyone with a smile and made sure that they knew what they […] were getting and on time. We had a problem with the room next to ours with partying going on until 3am and when we called to front desk, the house security was quick to respond and the situation was quickly taken care of. The hotel did not live up to the rating. The workout facilities were limited and were located in a musty smelling basement room. Also, the whirlpool area was locked and apparently not functioning. The rooms were small. The bathroom was so small that I needed to enter the main room in order to dry off after showering.

Overall it was pretty good for the price. Fairly close to downtown etc. I like how it says 'all rooms include...city view and mountain view' Our room on the 2nd floor had a view of the roof and that is all. The fridge was a very nice size and the beds were comfy.

We stayed for one night. It was very pleasant. Someone came to the door in the evening and offered us complimentary chocolate chip cookies. That was a real nice touch. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were really puffy and very relaxing. I awoke very refreshed. The food in the restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced.

Very comfortable and perfect for my purposes--mainly to visit friends in neighborhoods well south of downtown Calgary. The hotel is located on the busy commercial strip of MacLeod Trail S., and thus close to the big mall, Chinook Centre, and many other stores, restaurants, and bars. A car is almost required, although public transit does run along MacLeod […] Trail. The hotel itself has a good pub/sports bar as well as a restaurant where I ate breakfast one morning. Everything in the room was in good working order, including the internet connection, and very clean and comfortable. Recommended if you have business or things to do south of town; not convenient if you mainly need to be downtown (15-minute or so drive to downtown). Read more

Hotel was decent but not at all outstanding. Bar food was good, and bar was nice. Across street from Hotel is the largest Country Bar around and is always packed. Alot of fun. Condition of Hotel was a little outdated but overall was fine.

We stayed one night a the end of our 25th year wedding anniversary trip to the Canadien Rockies. When the hotel hostess found out it was our silver anniversary, she had a complementary champagne and cheese platter awaiting when we got back from our night out. In the information section it said that the room that we stayed in was a middle class room, the hotel staff said it was a entry level room. In the review of this hotel in the information it said that this hotel was airconditioned. Indeed it was, but it was central air and not a thermostat in the room. The temperature was between 20 C and 23 C. Also […] it was not mentioned that there was no bathtub only a shower. This is the first hotel I have stayed at with out one. It too was not mentioned. The room we stayed in has been renovated about half way. I do not recomend staying here in the mid-spring to Mid Summer cause of no room controlled air-conditioners. Read more

The overall stay was good. We had trouble with the heating system which was the cause of our dissatisfied stay. They did finally get us into a new room with heat but no other sorry for the problem or here is something for your troubles. Like it happens all the time on the coldest day of the year.

I had high expectations before I got to the hotel but I was disappointed. I had reserved my room over the internet and had already paid for my room with my visa. But the time it took the front desk to enquire about my i.d. before I got my key was maybe a bit long. Later that p.m. after I had been out for awhile and gone back to my room, I discovered […] when my feet got all wet that my bathroom had flooded from upstairs. I called the front desk but the person who answered told me that he could not do too much because he was all alone! But when I persisted and told him that the hotel needed to do something, another person got on and he reassured me that he would come up to see what had happened. The location was easy to find with our GPS. The staff was very friendly and were quick to deliver a cot to our room after we checked in. The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms were very quiet - we didn't hear anyone else above us or on our floor, for that matter.
