This hotel is one of the best values in south Calgary and is one where we have stayed several times. We would not hesitate to stay there again. There are a number of restaurants in the area if you don't want to eat in the hotel and a Starbucks a stone's throw away. Staff were extremely courteous and even helped us find a parking spot when we arrived (there were 4 weeding receptions there at the same time).

Freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies every night are a very nice and delicious touch. Hotel restaurant solid and a good value. Pub is fun. Will definitely stay again.

Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 31, 2008
The Hotel itself was pretty good, only comment was the tattered rug that was not glued to the floor in the elevator, but the room was fine, nicely appointed and clean. Restaurant was being renovated and a meeting room in the back was put into temporary use and the service was lackluster at best. As usual I had to extend my stay, this time only by 1-day which I did the afternoon before I was originally scheduled to leave. The front desk was able to shuffle some other reservations so I could stay in the same room - which was nice. Upon returning to the hotel the next evening I found a room cart at the door of my room and the cleaning staff blocking my access saying that I had checked out and the front desk had removed my belongings!!! I went to the front desk, staffed by some of the same people who I extended my stay with and confirmed that I had extended my stay and would like a key and all of my belongings returned. Within a few minutes my belongings were unceremoniously returned in a green garbage bag with no apology and an offer of a drink! I will not be staying here again and would advise anyone else from staying here too.

First off my request to Robert from Hotel.ca was that I needed a room that would sleep 3 adults (a bed for each). Robert found a room with 2 queen beds and a rollaway would be provided for the 3rd, which was included in the extra person charge. So he said. When we got there our room had 2 double beds and no rollaway was put away for us. Luckily they had a rollaway avalible, but we had to pay extra $$. Have to say I was not happy with the whole experience, from reservation to check in.

Not a lot of space to move around in the room with 3 people but otherwise was great.

everyone was nice, room clean and baed good for the night's sleep. Had to get up at 3AM and got my wakeup call promptly. The front desk rang twenty minutes later to make sure that I had gotten up. That was thoughtful and am sure appreciated by many.

Lovely hotel, great location for exploring the wider Calgary area. Fab housekeeping and room service staff. Severely let down by unprofessional and incompetent front desk staff. Will by writing to Hotel Manager to complain about the unprofessional, and down right rude, behaviour of the front desk staff. They spoiled an otherwise lovely stay.
