Radisson VP is one of the Top 3 Hotels in Uruguay, the location is perfect, near to everything and the suites are superb. room service takes a while but it eventually gets delivered.

It was very convenient and the bell hop/congiere personnel were very helpful. Our biggest complaint was that there were no restrooms on the main lobby level. You had to go down through the casino to use a restroom if you were in the main lobby. This was totally not appropriate for children, while waiting for a taxi, etc. Also, we were told the beds […] were doubles, but they were just a little bit wider than twin beds in the US, although longer. Room has a very strong smell of cigarette smoke. I did not request a not smoking room at check in but I think they do not make a distinction between smoking and non smoking room at this particular hotel. This is a great negative point as I am a non smoker and allergic to cigarette smell.

Spacious room. We asked for special room accomodations and they were promptly attended. Extra pillows, spacious bathroom. Super strong (and good) shower. I thought the location was excellent and the breakfast served was very good. I found the concierge very helpful but they originally gave us a non smoking room on a floor that was converted from a smoking floor and you could still smell the smoke from the wallpaper and furnishings. The Radisson is a modern oasis amid crumbling neighborhood. Friendly people throughout the city, though the neighborhood is quite rundown and one is struck by the great numbers of dogs that roam the streets and make all sidewalks a virtual minefield of their past presence. The Radisson is a good choice if you are stopping at Montevideo for a few days to see the 'sights'. It's a good location for the old town. Starting to show its age - bathroom could do with an upgrade and the constant rattling of the windows (on 18th floor) is unacceptable for a hotel that charges the sort of prices they do. We arrived late at night as a group of 8 people, There is no ramp to wheel you bags up only steps, there are staff who did come to help. Reception eventually allocated our rooms but no direction to rooms , the lift to the rooms were at the other end of the hotel, not impress. The rest of the hotel was excellent. Cuando me retire del hotel deje olvifdados mis lentes de lectura.Regrese al dia siguiente para recuperarlos teniendo en cuenta que quien hizo la limpieza tuvo necesariamente que velos. Sin embargo, no sabian nada sobre ellos. Deje mi telefono pero hasta ahora no me han llamdo.

Já havia me hospedado no Radisson. Esta foi a quarta vez. O atendimento, qualidade das instalações e localização são pontos fortes. Recomendo o restaurante Dueto - Cocina Urbana - Bartolomé Mitre 1386 - na cidade velha (excelente) e o Rara Avis, bastante sofisticado, ao lado do teatro Solís.

Como sempre, a relação custa e benefício e as indicações do site foram precisas. A localização é muito boa, no centro da cidade, contudo, o mlehor de montevideo esta em Pocitos e Punta Carreta, nada que não se possa vencer com um táxi de pequeno valor. Ótimo. Excelente.

Hotel bem localizado e com excelente infra-estrutura: problemas: na chegada as recepcionistas não notaram que o vaucher tinha as garagens inclusas; com o cartão de estacionamento, de plano ela negou o serviço já pago; sorte que eu havia imprimido na internet a documentação que me dava a garantia do serviço; ainda, na chegada os manobristas mantêm carros […] em frente ao hotel estacionados; em todas as minhas entradas e saídas, sempre tive que parar e desembarcar, incluso crianças, na rua; ainda, na saída, no quarto das crianças, elas deixaram os cartões no quarto; mandei buscar e quando lá chegaram, depararam-se com a faxineira tomando um coca-cola retirada no frigobar e comendo bolachas, sentada na cama e assistindo tv; por final, na saída, o concierge não sai do lado co carro e do viajante, praticamente "exigindo" uma gorjeta (vale lembrar que pode ser praxe; porém, hj em dia, este tempo acabou; vc trata um negócio com hotel e paga pelos serviços prestados; gorjetas, etc...ficam realmente por conta e não pode haver pressão pelos funcionários -; embora isso, deixei boa gorjeta ao manobrista, eis que nos dias que ai estive, e, pela segunda vez, o serviço foi atencioso. Porém, reafirmo, que a conduta do concierge ou manobrista precisa ser diferente da práticada. Por fim, estando com crianças, sozinho ingressei no cassino e, como a porta se mantém aberta, obviamente, as crianças, já orientadas, vieram até o limite, momento em que um dos segurança veio, de modo direto a mim, afirmar que as crianças não poderiam ingressar; elas jamais colocaram os pés além da porta e nem fizeram menção de ingressaram; disse ao segurança que a atitude dele, mesmo que quisesse me avisar, era premeditada e que até o limite da porta as crianças podiam ir e olhar; ele, erradamente, se irritou, certamente porque notou sua premeditação e jamais esperava que eu o criticasse por sua conduta; em verdade, o cassino estava com pouquíssimo movimento e, talvez, o segurança desejasse mostrar atenção ao se Read more
