"Good Locaton, Good Price"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The hotel was adequate and the location convenient for the event I attended. The price was reasonable. I appreciated the free continental breakfast. The breakfast room--an interior room without windows--is small and was crowded both days I was there. Alternate seating is in the more pleasant lobby with windows! Also at this Best Western, unlike at other BWs where I've stayed, the towels noticeably scratchy, not soft, are either old or require different laundering.
"Good food around the hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
They were very friendly and close to everthing, walked all weekend, loved it
"The Best Hotel on Ocean Beach"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
This might be the nicest hotel based right on the ocean at Ocean Beach. The staff was very helpful, the room immaculate, and the location second to none. I've stayed at a number of hotels in the area, but I won't stay anywhere but here in the future. You can't go wrong with an ocean front suite!
"Design savy with great service!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We needed a last min getaway for a few days to unwind and enjoy a romantic getaway. The hotel staff was awesome very friendly made us common folk feel like celebrities. Great service location and atmosphere . If your dog people you will love this hotel very pet friendly. We will be staying here again and bring our dog as well . The ac in the room was a lil uncopertive however the weather was perfect so not much use was needed. Room service food was great small portions but very tasty. Location is great have drinks on the. 9 h floor lounge and what the game from a spectacular view.

Spain’s foothold in California began here with Mission San Diego de Alcalá, a tourist-friendly church built in 1769. Nearby, Old Town’s historic buildings feature trendy bars and restaurants. Other major attractions include SeaWorld, Qualcomm Stadium, and Mission Bay Park, the nation’s largest waterfront park. South in Point Loma, the Cabrillo National Monument offers panoramic views of San Diego.

"Convenient to hiways!"
I didn't stay at my room much, since I was visiting friends. The room was clean, but the cable TV did not work well and the time I was there, I could not watch the stations I liked. Other than that - it was good!

"comfortable room"
The kitchenette was nice, beds/pillows were comfortable, internet worked consistently, and front desk staff was nice. My only complaint was that the bathroom door was old and difficult to close without a struggle.
"Never again"
My overall stay was uncomfortable to say the least. You definitely get what you pay for. Access to the room was inconvinient. No parking available. Security guard was rude. there were people in the room next to us and above us, drinking at all hours of the night and making lots of noise. Because of all the noise I didnt get a good night sleep at all. […] You could here people slamming doors in their own rooms. Their was only one person checking people in, I had to wait for a half hour in line, just to get checked in. This hotel has horrible service and the people who stay their are perdominantly party goers. Read more

"been coming since 1987"
Great!
"Not good"
Room booked for location and positive reviews. Location was good. Staff was nice on arrival. Room was ok. Were several issues: noise is horrible, Lots of teenagers and young adults (school or church trip?). Up most of the night and very noisy. You hear/feel them walking by like an earthquake (bed near door shakes) You hear knocking and conversations […] like they are sitting next to you even though you have the ac on at night (3am not a good time for a party in a 'family' hotel). There was a large crowd of them blocking the entrance and driveway limiting car access and other gurests had to walk all the way around to get to the office. The leader should have used the space at the rear of the hotel but apparently only thought of his group instead of the rest of the hotel guests. When they were done -- the throngs decided to walk to the back of the buildings through the driveway instead of the walkways on either side. When other guests asked them to walk on the sidewalks instead of the driveway so their cars could exit the 'adult' leader/pastor said that the other guests should be able to wait for them. I mentioned the problems to the girl at the desk her response was :"oh, that must have been our group". Also, for a non smoking hotel, several guests were standing at open doors with lit cigarettes and saw a few people near rear of hotel with 'other' smokes not cigarettes. We will not return. Read more

"Small room, noisy"
The hotel is next to a busy road. Traffic noise could be heard clearly in the room. Upstairs guests walking, opening/closing closet, next door guests showing, flushing toilet.... we could hear all kinds of sounds in our room. Hotel staff was very friendly, though.
"Days Inn Hotel Circle San Diego, CA"
We had an absolute awesome experience at Days Hotel Circle! Would recommend it to everyone! Stayed 2 days with excellent service n a heated pool! Would come again n again :-) Thank you for a great sweet 16 getaway for my daughter n her friends ;)
"Day's Inn San Diego at hotel circle"
The room was very clean, price was great compared to everything else around. However, the parking was terrible! If you got back to your room late, forget about it. There literally was not one available parking space! We had to have security move the barricade every night. The shuttle to Sea World was a joke. It was only offered twice a day and had to […] be reserved ahead of time. We found out at check in that it was already full for the time we wanted the next day. The staff didn't seem to care about our parking or shuttle concerns. There us only one restaurant on premises that sells overpriced burgers & doesn't like to take custom orders. I asked for cheddar cheese instead of American on my cheeseburger. There is a pool & jacuzzi but it's at the back of the property & you have to walk through the parking lot to get there. We also had the joy of the street being blocked off due to a watermain break at the nearby Vagabond Inn. This was not Days Inn's fault, but combined with everything else, it was a frustrating stay. We chose to stay because all we basically did was sleep & shower there since we were out all day. The bed was comfortable for me but my husband said his back hurt in the morning. They do give you a lot of pillows and a little kitchenette with mini fridge, coffe maker & microwave. You get what you pay for. Read more
"housekeeping"
I was very imprest with the customer service, every one was very nice and friendly, but very disapointed with the housekeeping services, I use the coffee pot my first day of stay they never cleaned nor change for a clean pot, they left me a new pack of coffee on the counter, i guess for me to put away, parking spaces are limited, we when to dinner on […] the way back we can't find no parking, the pool area is very dark needs more ilumination. "Super Crowded, But Still Nice"
We stayed at this hotel during spring break. There was a water main break on Hotel Circle Drive, so it took us 45 minutes to get to the hotel from only 11 miles away! But, that wasn't the hotel's fault, of course. Front desk clerk made it up to us by waiving our second vehicle's parking fee. We stayed on the third floor, so all the comments I'd read […] about concerning paper-thin walls and lots of noise didn't apply to us. Loved all the nice upgrades inside the room. Bed was comfy too. Pool and spa were too crowded, so we stayed away. We would definitely stay here again. Read more

"Days Hotel"
I probably wouldn't stay there again if I had a party of three or more because the rooms were just too small. We stayed in a Business Class room with 2 Queen size beds and it was too tight. The rooms were well-cleaned. That wasn't the issue.
"Days Hotel-Hotel Circle"
For the price, you get what you get. I'll start with the positives--shuttle service to the zoo and the Amtrak station was really nice and super convenient. Food was amazing at Bunz Burgers! On to the negatives--Pipe burst in road right out front, making it difficult for my taxi driver to get us there. First night there, it sounded like a herd of animals […] in the room above us. I called the front desk, and it seemed to be resolved that night, but continued up again the next morning and again the second night. The second day, we had to deal with a creepy drunk by the pool. He was harassing us and other guests. It was finally dealt with, but I feel management was a bit slow on dealing with him, as there were many children present. Overall, the price is good and would probably give it a second chance, but I'd be hesitant about it. Read more
"Not what we expected"
The room smelled so bad we had to ask for another room. The housekeeping tried to excuse the oder on foods cooked by previous guest and then started spraying a air freshener to cover the smell even though we told her not to do it. (Language barrier issue) The second room they gave us smelled like cat urine and we opened the windows for fresh air. We […] ended up checking out early and found a different hotel nearby for more money, but well worth it. Will not stay here again. Read more
"poor service"
This hotel apparently caters to large groups of kids. Our first night there was at least 1 bus load of kids and several van loads of kids. 2nd night even more teams or clubs or whatever. The place was crazy. I called for maintenance for a problem with my toilet and after an hour I called back and the finally came. The free shuttle to the zoo was extremely […] late with no explanation or apology. We finally gave up and drove. Parking was free so if you have a car don't bother with the shuttle. Beds uncomfortable and room temperature difficult to regulate. Read more
"Cheap. Decent. Would Stay Again."
We had to relocate for a few days while our complex was being fumigated. After searching for nearby hotels to fit our budget for a few days we choose The Days Hotel in Hotel Circle. First off the staff was friendly, check in was quick & easy since I pre-paid through Hotels.com, and a convenient restaurant called Bunz (which is open Brkfst, Lunch & Dinner-friendly […] staff, casual food and beers,etc.). The room was okay, nothing fancy but better than expected for the price, free Wi-Fi, mini fridge and microwave in room. Although the room needs a bit of an update, brighter colors and current t.v. at least. Since I notice the little things I would like to mention they have great water pressure, soft towels, iron & board in room, and working air conditioner. The only cons about our stay was the parking is hit or miss, they were doing construction and remodeling in some rooms during our stay, and there were Spring Break Kids... thankfully they check in at the last day of our stay. Overall, I recommend The Days Hotel... I would stay again. Also, they offer free shuttle to Sea World for all you tourist. Read more
"A Little Extra"
I have stayed at this hotel twice now because I like the size of the rooms and the location. Everything always seemed clean until I had to move the bed to plug the lamp in and I noticed that the floor hadn't been vacuumed for a while. I would ask that the maids take a little extra time to make sure the whole room is clean.

"Nice hotel for the price -but be warned"
We enjoyed the hotel itself. Nice pool and spa, and the rooms were decent. But, the front facing wall is extremely thin with the external-public access patio generating a lot of noise from people passing to their rooms. Our room also literally shook with each person coming up the stairs making the first night extremely uncomfortable. If you stay here, […] I'd recommend taking a room on the bottom floor and away from stairs. Parking could be better, but is manageable (really tight spaces). Read more
good overall however room was smaller than expected, paid for upgrade to larger room, it was larger only lengthwise (to accomodate a small desk). Advertised amenaties missing,(blackout drapes, bar)
"great stay for price"
It's in a great location, in the middle of everything you would want to go see and do. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The outdoor jacuzzi was hot and fantastic.

"Orange county to San Diego"
I had a great time in San Diego! Spent the whole time at the gas lamp district! (St. Patty's weekend)
"Great for families"
This was our 2nd stay at this hotel. The rooms are large and the beds are extremely comfortable. The pool is heated and the jaccuzzi is hot. They have internet access in the lobby with an attached printer for convienience. The attached resturant is small but had great food at reasonable prices. If you want a comfortable place to stay this is it.
"Better than expected"
Being a "Days" chain hotel I was not expecting something good. The outside of the hotel does not look surprisingly good, so I was expecting the typical "Days". However, after we got into the room we got surprised! YES, rooms seemed to be recently rennovated, in very good condition, very clean, has microwave and fridge (good for families with the young […] ones). Location is very good by the Hotel Circle in San Diego, a short distance from SD attractions. It has a small restaurant/dining place in their facilities, very convinient for quick and good breakfast - better or similar than a Denny's. Read more
"Lousy staff"
The outside surrounding of the hotel is like a motel. But the inside was nice. The girl who was at the desk had a terrible attitude. There was no smile throughout the whole time. It's like she doesn't want to work there or the hotel didn't pay her enough on the late shift. I did enjoy my room surprisingly. But the service is awful.
"Nice on the inside"
Outside makes you think will be crummy hotel room, but the rooms themselves are actually nice and well cleaned. You do need a credit or debit card for check in which I was unaware of, I thought you could use cash deposit. Which they kindly allowed me to stay using a cash deposit, but was told I would only be able to stay one night. When I was the rooms […] that made me disappointed because I actually would have stayed longer. Read more
"Hotel in San Diego"
Great hotel close to the airport and cheap! Parking is a bit tight getting in and out, but loads of spaces for all car sizes. Staff is well presented and helpful and the burger joint next to it is OUTSTANDING!

"Helpful Front Desk"
I don't know his name but the guy at the front desk was great. Good food in resturaunt. Try the braised chicken salad. Be careful parking. Very tight fit.
"Days Inn"
Great place for the price Hot Tub was excellent
NO HAIR DRYER?? STAY ON THE THIRD FLOOR, THE FLOORS ARE THIN. THE GUY ABOVE ME WOKE ME UP TWICE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT GOING TO THE BATHROOM.
"Convenient"
Big room and very clean. Friendly staff. The location was central to everything. The only issue was near I-8 so you pick up some traffic noise. We would stay here again.

"Clean and close to Old Town"
I've stayed here a few times now, mostly because it's a great deal during the work week. Plus, the rooms usually come with kitchenettes, which can save business folk lots of money on longer stays :) - Also, the rooms are big and clean, and the place is just 3-5 minutes from Old Town, where there's tons of great restaurants and shops. Great deal for […] biz travelers or, I'd suppose, families trying to save money. Read more
