In word, "terrible". Depite 4 calls we were kept waiting from 9pm to 11pm before being picked up by the hotel shuttle. We were assigned a room that was not the remodeled ones being advertised for the low rate but was a 40 yr. old room with original everything. There had been an attempt to hide the bad smell with something that also smelled bad and there […] was no hot water. The tub was so dirty in appearance that we ultimately stood on towels. Before accepting this awful situation, the night manager offered to upgrade us to the remodeled rooms for an additional 25% charge! . There were 2 others parties that were upset over room related charges during this same time. Because the room was mandatorily prepaid, we kept our return lodging at this sleazy place 9 days later. Again we were put in an old unremodeled smelly room with no hot water and a broked airconditioner. We again complained and were again offered an upgrade for an additional 25%. The 3rd room had warm water only and the AC was marginally effective. We opened the window on this ground floor room to a dirty alley but felt unsafe to leave it open during the night. The hall way to these delapidated rooms is dark, dank, with a musty odor . We felt fortunate we didn,t get bed bugs! This is a bait and switch operation that should be investigated and these flea bag rooms shut down, sanitized, and the hot water a nd AC's fixed or replaced. Read more

The hotel was recently remodeled and very comfortable. I only stayed one night here so that I was close to the airport for a super early flight the next morning. Was very pleased overall after having read the past reviews. Pool was nice as well.

The place is HORRIBLE. The customer service was just the same. Whatever you do, DO NOT book this hotel even if it's just for one night before flying out or cruising the next day. DON'T do it. The customer service was horrible before we even got there. The "shuttle" driver who picks up at the airport was on the phone as he approached us and didn't even […] slow down to see if there were people waiting. And then when we called, the guy at the front desk said we'd have to wait another hour because they run on the hour. We finally got him to send another shuttle. When we got to the hotel, we had a brief... VERY brief sense of relief once we saw the "beauty" of the place. We quickly realized that that is just the surface. Once you get to the end of the hallway that you can see from the front desk, the place turns into a creepy dump. NO LIE. The place changes 100 %. "Breakfast" in the morning is toast while you are shoved into a little corner of the "lobby". You'd be so much better off walking across the street to McDonalds. If you're not staying by yourself, the room is very cramped. I am not one to take the time out to complain about things because I work in retail and know people do it way too often, but this location and it's associates led me to give this review. Read more

The Bad: Old rooms that have been patched up for the last 20 years. No vents in the bathroom, Mold on bathroom roof. Dirty carpets, Musty bed sheets and Television with screen problems. Stayed in #156. The Good: Next to McDonald, IHOP and other Restaurants. Across the street from airport, 5 minute shuttle ride.

From the moment we stepped foot into the hotel, the staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room had 2 King Sized beds and the room was spacious. The fridge and microwave were an extra added touch! Our room had a balcony overlooking the pool. We enjoyed having the free airport shuttle. We stayed here a few days before a cruise and the hotel has a car […] rental service right in the lobby. We were first assigned an old room. They are truly terrible, as bad as the other reviews say. Since we had no mirror in the bathroom (it had been removed) and they had no more older rooms left with a queen bed, we convinced them to move us to a remodeled room. Very nice room with a comfortable king size bed, and poolside. Enjoyed it! Continental breakfast […] is very poor, only bagels, toast, waffles and juice. I asked the attendant for a glass of milk and any kind of fruit. She said no, they don't have it. She said milk and fruit make you fat and people should only eat a little for breakfast. Ha! We stayed here the night before we flew home. Our rental car was returned just a couple of blocks from the hotel. We found a restaurant nearby and had a great breakfast in the lobby before leaving for the airport. We will stay here again on our next trip to Costa Rica. Comfy beds and well appointed room.

We did not feel safe and secured. The hotel hall can be accessed by anyone. The room is half-finished. Some lights did not work. With a family of small children, I did not feel safe at all at this hotel and neighborhood.

It was a wonderful way to spend a couple of days around Christmas. The staff were very helpful at the hotel. The Breakfast was good, a little crowded with the tables. The 24 hour shuttle was a real plus. The updated renovations are a great improvement. Convenient to the airport. We enjoyed the balcony at our room.

This was the worst hotel I have stayed in. When I checked in there was no water then about three hours later water was turned on and came out brown. No hot water. When I asked to change rooms they wanted to charge me more money for the change. After a 20 min argument they changed my room.

Nothing to brag about, but our room was big, clean and fully functioning. Boring neighbourhood but a friendly sports bar. Airport shuttle every hour, picks up at the airport 15 min past the hour. Chaotic, very spartan breakfast in the lobby. Overall, good enough for transit.

They are renovating and improvement the infraestructure, lobby is nice and public restroom very clean, but I received an old and ugly room.in the old building. Very disappointing. Request a renovated room or look for another hotel.

We got to the hotel and was pleased with the lobby. Looked clean, bright and new. Staff was friendly, everything seemed ok. Got my key and headed down the hallway and was horrified. It was night and day. Suddenly the nice white tile changed to nasty stained green felt carpeting, had no elevator and the staircase was in shambles. Walked down an equally […] repulsive hallway to our room, walked in and instantly regretted opting for a cheap place to stay before my flight. Room reeked of old mildewy uncleaned air conditioner filter. One drawer was missing a handle, toilet paper dispenser was broken, shower was cracked, walls had cracks and ceiling was peeling. Then bending down, I saw a 1 ft by 1ft square HOLE IN THE WALL behind the headboard of the bed. No thanks. Requested a room change, was told if I wanted a newly renovated room, that cost extra. There was ZERO notice on Expedia when I booked that this that this place was under extreme renovation. I opted for another room of the same price and was brought across the hall to a room with NO toilet paper dispenser, cracked windows, a cracking tiled shower and the same nauseating smell. Cleanliness looked maintained but the atmosphere and smell just made you want to shower, but at their outdoor pool shower, not the one in the room. Spent most of the evening sitting by their nice renovated pool. If you are planning to stay here, I'd suggest looking into what kind of room you're getting yourself into before their renovations are done. Read more

In terms of proximity to the airport I would say good. The condition of the stairway is a turnoff and very depressing. Also the carpet in the room had a bad odor. This is definitely the worst place we've ever stayed in in the U.S.A.

This hotel is fine if you are looking for a hotel really close from the airport. They have a free shuttle to the airport every hour. But there is not much else to it. The rooms are old, I would only recommand it for the convenient location.

The pictures show a total difference than what is really there. When we got there we found that there is no elevator - you have to drag your luggage up the stairs. This room looked better, like it was newly constructed, But the hot water did not work nor did the air condition and it was very hot and humid. By now it was 12:00 midnight. We called the clerk and they sent someone up who just felt the water and the hot air coming out of the air condition and said that both did not work and just walked out and we heard no more from the front desk. We did not want to pay to switch to another room so we just stayed in the hot room all night . The staff are extremely friendly. The location is awesome: close proximity to the airport if you have a connecting flight next day and it is quite close to fast food restaurants. They need to work on the breakfast menu though. Perhaps ham and eggs would be more enticing.
