I founf my stay at the Delta Chelsea very nice, the staff was very polite and helpful. The only problem I ran into was I drive a full size truck and it would not fit in the free underground parking. So I had to have the valet park it, in the other underground parking lot and pay almost $50.

I recently stayed at the Delta Chelsea for approximately a week for work and relaxation. I found the accomidations very nice, my room was always cleaned and the bed was very comfortable. I found the fitness area to be better than I expected, with cardio, machines, some free weights, and of course the pool and hot tub. While the pool isn't optimal for […] a swimmer it was still relaxing and could get a few short laps in when it was empty. The surrounding area is near Ryerson University, and as such there is plenty of things to do. Also the location near Yonge makes it great if you want to do a bit of shopping. Read more

DC is a good hotel with very good dining options that is perfectly located next to, but not on, Yonge Street, a major shopping and entertainment destination in Toronto. The staff members are extremely nice and helpful. A pleasure to stay there.

Good: The lobby and common areas were clean and presentable. The staff was polite, friendly, and professional. My room was clean and neat, and reasonably sized for the price. I was in a corner room, and although the hotel was bustling, I didn't hear much in the way of noise from the hallways. The bed was really comfortable, and unlike many hotels, […] I fell asleep immediately and woke up feeling good - and not like I'd be in a medieval torture device. Internet was free and acceptably (but not exceptionally) fast, with both wired and wireless options. The meh: The room was drab. Tan walls with tan carpet, tan drapes, a tan chair, lights with tan shades and coffee brown furniture. It was definitely an 80's feel. Minor cracks and blemishes on the ceiling and joint areas, and the shower/tub. I'm pretty sure I had that exact same shower head in my apartment in 1990. The same "worn down" condition existed around the hotel. Example: One down button on floor 22 would never call an elevator (thankfully the other one worked). The S2 parking garage door stuck so badly that I thought it was locked the first time I tried to use it. The bad: Road noise from outside, particularly construction sounds, were really loud in the room. Somewhat surprising given that I was 22 stories up. Not much they can do about this, it's the city, but beware if you like to sleep late. Read more

I found the rooms to be in good shape. No exhaust fan in the bathroom and no air conditioning. When I called the front desk, I was told they only heat; no cooling. It is early fall, not a huge deal. The hotel was very nice, clean rooms, helpful concierge. We chose this specific hotel because of the giant water slide at the pool. However, we found both the pool hours and the water slide hours to be unsatisfactory. The family pool was closed at 9 pm (weekdays). We returned to the hotel from our evenings out close to or past 9:00, which meant no pool […] for the kids. Since it opened at 8:00 am, we went down to the pool first thing in the morning. Once there, we were very disappointed to learn that the water slide is only open from 4:00-8:00 pm. What??? That's when many families will be out enjoying the many sights of the city and having dinner. So, though we chose this hotel for the water slide, we weren't able to use it at all. Perhaps the hours are extended on weekends, but we were taking a mid-week vacation since it was school break. If you're interested, I would check the hours before making your reservation. Read more

Service was very good. The neighbourhood is so-so, but location is great overall. The room was comfortable, though is showing signs of wear. The floor wasn't vacuumed perfectly, so housekeeping could be better. Would I stay here again? Probably, if the price is right.

The hotel lobby was beautiful. It really caters to the business person. The rooms were neat and the beds comfortable. A desk and chair were provided along with a wired internet connection. My tablet only works on wireless which I was able to get a weak signal from their meeting rooms on the second floor. However, the speed of the wired internet connection […] was good. The lighting could have been better in the room. There was a desk lamp with a compact flourescent bulb that must have been about 15 watts. Balcony sliding glass door would not open. Adult pool was closed. We chose this hotel because it had an indoor pool. Hotel literature says "safe in room" but there was no safe. No bathrobes. Hotel did give us a parking credit for inconveniences.

The hotel exceded all our expectations!. The desk staff was friendly and helpful with the conversion of US money to CA. (especially Erik) They went out of their way to see that our 13 year old grandson received the bills and coins he requested. The bathroom was a disgrace. There was mold along the entire length of the wall from one end to the other. The shower haed was held together with what was left of tape to prevent the water from spraying all over. It was very loud, but that's downtown Toronto. When checking out, I mentioned to the desk clerk about my room and that i had pictures, she […] apolgized and said sorry, some rooms are like that now and need ot be renovated. I asked for a manager, she said she was busy but i could email the hotel when i returned home if i liked. There were no other rooms to switch too so i was stuck. The wallpapaer was coming off the wall as well. For the rate i paid, i should have styaed in any other downtown hotel that had some modern amenities. I did leave supplements in my room and house keeping was great when i called and inquired they immediately called back, found them and offered to ship or hold ontothem, that's why i gave a 3 for hotel service. Though it is in the heart of the city, the room is too small and dark for a couple to stay. Bathroom needs major renovations, we can hear noises on our adjacent room. The food services are not satisfactory since they don't have anything much to offer after I arrived late ( 12mn ) and a long flight.

Delta Chelsea had a very convenient location as my wife and I went to Toronto for our daughter's graduation. Delta Chelsea was very close to Ryerson University, which made it easier for us to access. We had stayed from October 17th-20th. During our stay, we preoccupied ourselves with the Eaton Centre, which was also close to our hotel. Nice room. Hotel is in the center of the city which was very convenient. The hotel has an awesome slide in the childrens area. It requires two staff members to operate which means it is often closed. Plenty of warm water in the evenings but not in the morning.
