Location.
Towering 27 stories over downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the Delta Chelsea Hotel sits one block from the historic Canon Theatre and College Subway Station. The hotel is two blocks from the Toronto Eaton Centre and the Elgin Theatre. The University of Toronto, along with the scenic green grasses of Queen's Park, can be found three blocks away. Hotel was in a great location to us. There is plenty of restaraunts and shopping close by. Very close to the 407 and other main roads. Was dissapointed when we got to our room. We had requested a King but ended up with two double beds. We notified the main desk and was told there were no King beds available. The room was nice however there were small things that just added up to dissapointment. Asked for a late check out, were told that it would cost another 58 dollars for that. We made one local phone call, that cost 1.45! The room was clean but not great. Hair in the bathtub, dirt on the bathroom floor ect. The hotel was very busy with a confrence while we were there, however there was plenty of free parking in their parking garage.

you SHOULDN'T have two hotels with the same name in the same city!! We were very disappointed that we had to wait for the hotel bus to take us to the wrong hotel and then had to take a 40.00$ taxi to the right one.The hotel was Four Points by Sheriton but Dixie road. I happened to get Frost bite on my big toe because of all the waiting and travelling.We had just arrived back from Mexico and had no closed shoes or boots.Not fun.Th hotel itself was great but do we want the inconvience again probably not....

The hotel was perfectly situated just a few minutes' drive from the airport and they offered a convenient shuttle that got us to the airport in plenty of time. The rooms were very clean and brilliantly set up so that the double beds were back to back with a large headboard, creating the feeling like there were two separate rooms. Perfect when sharing with family members or friends.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was kept clean and the housekeeping staff did their responsibilities without intruding upon our privacy. I enjoyed the view of the city from our room. It was very easy to find our way around the city from the hotel. All and all my wife and I had a very enjoyable stay.

"Nice view of city downtown"
Excellent location, the view at night it gorgeous when high enough up. my one concern was that i had picked the hotel seeing it had a water slide but once there 3 out of my times going to use it twice it wasnt even open. I did finally end up using it and was quite fun. Great hotel downtown toronto

"Got charged twice!"
Hotel room was way too hot, couldn't even open the window because they were bolted down. Bathroom door was broken therefore couldn't be closed. Finally the hotel charged me for the stay when I already paid hotel.ca. All was taken care of after calling hotels.ca. Money was refunded by hotels.ca.

Love this hotel. My husband and I have stayed several times on our own, and once with grandchildren. The Family suite was wonderful with bunkbeds in the kids's room! Centrally located. Adult fitness area and pool are well managed, and the children loved the kids' pool,waterslide and supervised play room. The breakfast restaurant is the best we've been […] to. "Great location and staff... Bad/Over priced food"
Great location in the heart of downtown Toronto. however there is construction ongoing right next door on a new condo building. This makes for loud noisy enviorment and the thin windows and noisy heater does not help. The food in the Garden Market is far overpriced for the quality of the food. I stay there whenever I am Toronto. Rooms are clean and well appointed, staff if friendly and courteous and the location is in the core of the city. Lots to see and do. I highly recommend.

Over Priced Didnt even have a flat screen or iPod docking unit. The Pillows sucked. Most Ice Machines were slow or not useful. Didn't like how they treated my Family upon trying to gain entry to the Hotel at night even tho I was accompanying them. The Location was great and so were the staff. Easy check in !

We live in Toronto but decided to stay at the Delta Chelsea for New Years Eve, so we could be downtown for all the things we wanted to do and not have to worry about driving home. The service was fantastic, the room was small but very well decorated and had everything we wanted. The view was not great but we really didn't care. "great for younger kids"
Great hotel for younger kids. The playroom has several abused but remarkable still running Wii systems, a paint station and lots of toys to play with. Hotel has a kids/family pool with a water slide and hot tub, as well as a adults only pool, gym and hot tub. Great central location close to the subway (a 5 min walk). Great front desk hospitality, offered a free upgrade to King sized bed and corner room for free for no reason, was a nice gesture. We forgot toothpaste and they ran up complimentary toothpaste and toothbrushes.

My friend and I stay that the Chelsea at least x2/year and I stay occasionally for professional organization meetings. The location is great, close to theatres and shopping. My friend and I really enjoy the adults only pool and exercise facilities on the 26th floor. This year, I would like to recognize a person on the front desk named Maxine. We told […] her that this was our 41st annual Christmas shopping weekend. We have been friends for that long since we met at university and we have had a special Christmas shopping expedition together ever since. When we returned from shopping on Friday night, we found two fruit and cheese plates in our room with a note from Maxine celebrating our holiday tradition. What a lovely gesture! Over all good quality. Nice bar in the main floor. Breakfast is pretty good, and the location of the hotel very convinient. You do have to give a security deposit when you check in. So bring some extra cash.

"Convenience At A Cost"
Convenient but hotel staff needs to learn how to give proper customer service to patrons. Parking scenario a mess in terms of times and cost.

This hotel is conveniently located close to the The Bay Center downtown. However, the quality of the room and the service at the front desk are not up to the standards you would expect. Furthermore, nobody tells you how the parking system works because I didn't know until after I checked out that there are parking cut off times as to what qualifies […] as a day. I thought the one day parking fee is from when you come into the parking garage (ex let's say 5PM) until the next day at 5PM. Well, my friends this is not the case because the one day parking fee applies from 2PM to 2PM the next day. Also, the fee for parking is quite expensive in my opinion. As for going to the pool, the hotel doesn't provide any bathrobes or large towels to cover yourself if you want to go to the pool. Finally, the front desk staff weren't very friendly at all and the rooms were kind of small compared to other hotels I stayed at in the vicinity. Read more

"Delta Chelsea Inn, Toronto - Not bad on Special"
We stayed two nights. Selected this hotel because it was close to the events we had to attend, and also because they had a Fall rate special on. We've stayed at several Deltas in different locations in the past. Nice hotel, what one expects from a Delta, but certainly not the best in the chain. Parking for two nights cost over $55 with taxes on top […] of the room rate. The bars were nice, but the one restaurant we used was normal, so we opted to go to other, close-by establisments to eat after the first visit. When we first occupied the room, the toilet all but overflowed. We called and it was promptly fixed. Perhaps the previous occupants never reported it. No internet access in your room unless you paid for it. In this day and age - that's ridiculous! I've stayed at many hotels in the last 3 years and this is the first I've had to pay for internet access in my room. You had access downstairs in the public areas, but still, this is not right. Many of those previous hotels and MOTELS were lesser rated chains, and we never once had to pay for room internet access. C'mon Delta - get with it!! The TV was another issue as well. For the price we paid, you'd think the basic cable signal to the TV would be better than what we got. Several channels were very weak and full of noise (Ghosty). Not good for a top flight hotel. Never tried any pay-per-view channels. The Green elevators were quite slow. It seemed we were waiting a long time for a car, even at night. Check-out time was a 15 minute+ wait. All-in-all a nice place, close to downtown, but even for the sale price, I've stayed at better for less. I have no quarrel with any of the staff - they were very nice and courteous. If you can tolerate the parking fees, and put up with the TV signal, don't mind a run-of-the-mill restaurant, and don't mind paying for room internet access in this day and age, then I recommend it. If you want five-star service and amenities, then best seek another location. Read more

I have been staying at the Chelsea since I was a child going to Sick Kids Hospital. Everything about this hotel is great - location, staff, rooms and restaurants. Hope to stay there again soon!
"Rooms need updating"
For the cost per night the Delta Chelsea is poor value. The rooms pale in comparison to other hotels of the same per night rate. Ther need updating from carpets to wallpaper, bathrooms are old and unappealing - really sucked! Whenever possible I would not stay at the Delta Chelsea but rather the Sheraton, Hyatt, or other.

Stay overnight was fine.However room needed flat screen TV!! Parking too expensive!I left my car for 5 nights while away in USA and was charged over $30/night on returning. To add to the irritation the parking attendant was unable to access my stay and no. days parked as I exited the lot leading to an unnecessary delay un leaving!

I read several reviews before I arrived and expected a cramped dated room - the bathroom was cramped and in need of renewal but the room itself was comfortable and well maintained - but dated - needs wireless internet - good value for the price and location - will definitely stay there again
