"She may not be pretty, but she gets the job done."
I've stayed here every time I've come to Toronto over the last 15 years. Location is perfect. 2 blocks from Dundas Square. There's an EXCELLENT bakery right across the street on Elm Street by the name of Lucullus Bakery. You cannot pass this up. Excellent fresh pastries and coffee at an unbelievably cheap price. The hotel lobby looks nice and fancy, […] but the rooms are old and show it. The air conditioner has never once worked in all the 15 years I've been coming to this hotel. You have to leave the balcony door open to get it cooled off since it's always very warm in the rooms. I would never pay for the deluxe room over the standard room. They are the same minus a few extra square feet. It is just enough extra room for a blow up mattress. The family pool with a slide is fun, but the room has seen it's day. Front desk staff can be quite rude at times. TRAVELLERS TIP: Do not pay 40 dollars to park in their garage. Less than a block away on Gerard is 24 hour parking for 12 dollars. Also, for you Americans.....there is a Canada trust Bank inside a mall with Sobey's in it up on College and Bay street. You can exchange your currency for the highest exchange rate with no fee there. DO NOT EXCHANGE AT THE HOTEL DESK! The rate was 1.02 at the desk and 1.09 at Canada Trust. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Mediocre at best"
Having read previous reviews I asked for a renovated room. It was adequate but by no means recently renovated. There was construction on our floor although there was no noise from construction. The noise came from children running through halls making lots of noise. On checkout another patron with a baby said they were up all night with partiers making […] noise in the hall all night. No help was provided by staff when they called front desk. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hair in bathtub"
The hotel fit our needs for one evening with two kids. However, it becomes almost impossible to leave with a positive impression of a place when you find another persons hair in the bathtub.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Central Downtown Toronto Location"
Worked well for my business trip. Able to get around with ease Staff was courteous. Convenient airport shuttle drop-off and pick-up. Taxis readily availableGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good hotel for the price… at the center of downtow"
We stayed there for four nights and had a very good time. The room was small, but very accommodating.Genuine Expedia guest review
Disappointed in the maintenance issues:plugs not working, response time rather slow, manager not eager to ensure satisfaction.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, good staff, dated rooms."
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Asked for a higher room with a view but the one we gave us had a balcony view (which doesn't open) of another building. The room was clean but it is dated with chipped floor tiles, dingy bathroom, etc. Could definitely use a renovation/rejuvenation. The walls are thin so you can hear your neighbours but luckily […] ours were not too noisy. There was also construction noise outside which can be heard due to thin windows and there is also hotel construction going on and we could hear constant hammering in the morning which was annoying. The cleaning staff was good. Asked them to clean the room after we left the room for the day and they did a great job. The location is central downtown which is the best benefit of this hotel. We also used their pool with corkscrew slide and my daughter loved it. We had to schedule our sessions at the pool which was fine but I noticed others did not and were allowed to enter without prescheduling ... so what was the point? The pool and hot tub was very busy as a result. The temperature of the pool was fine but the hot tub needs to be hotter and they need to fix the bubble jets (they were not working). There was a lot of kids activities happening during our stay (March break) which was appreciated. Movies, popcorn, bingo, magic show, etc The parking at the hotel is too expensive $29 so we parked a block away in a secure underground parking lot at $12 a day. "Nice hotel, well located"
This hotel is located very close to eaton center and yonge street. Easy walk to downtown and also yorkville. The favilities are very nice, but the personel is not very helpful. I will recommend!Genuine Expedia guest review
With change of hands, hotel seems more mercenary, with charges for more things, such as local calls or using a computer in the lobby. Staff is friendly enough - just. Rooms was fine, clean, though cool. Turning up heat means lots of noise.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Eaton Chelsea Not So Much"
Conveniently located 1/2 a block from adult entertainment and 1 very good steak house. Lobby is spacious and the staff is friendly. Upstairs the hallway carpets are dirty and worn out. The rooms are clean and quiet and the beds are comfortable. The heat is either on or off. So in the winter warm up the room and shut it down unless you like to sleep […] in a sauna. Hit water there is plenty. Overall the Eaton is to pricey for its condition. But during the busiest convention week of the year I thought I was lucky to just get a room. "The pictures of rooms are deceptive"
Our first impression of the staff member helping was awesome, however it ends there. One room had NO heat maintence took two days, a water main break complicated check- in and we did not receive our second room until 6:30 pm for 3pm. check in, and the staff had to be reminded we had a second room, and this room was not the original room requested, however […] happy to get in our second room The staff was nice and brought us that room key in person. I think there were numerous things going on that detracted from our stay. Unfortunately I can not recommend this hotel to my friends, glad in am home, next time maybe upgrade to a better suite.? "Close to city attractions, very convenient."
Stay at the Eaton Chelsea was nice, very convenient location to the Eaton Centre, new aquarium, Hockey Hall of Fame and various restaurants/bars. Subways were easy to travel and we arrived at desired locations easily. Hotel parking easy to find, as well as location of hotel. There were some renovations occurring during our time there, but it did not […] really affect our stay. We would stay here again, Toronto is a great city! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"One night with family"
I've stayed here at least 10 times in the last 15 years, in both family and adult-only modes, and have always been satisfied with this hotel. Great place for THIS one-night family getaway, especially with kids area and family pool with spiral slide (FYI - it's even better for adults with the top floor pool, gym and outdoor deck 20+ floors above the […] city). I HIGHLY recommend the Eaton Chelsea! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location, great price"
Location was right in the heart of downtown. Only one block away from the subway. Two blocks from all the shopping. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi was fast and free, which for downtown Toronto hotels, is a rarity. The rooms were renovated, but still seemed a little plain, but it was still comfortable. I would gladly stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overall nice experience"
The room was a bit crammy; very clean though; prompt room service; very friendly and helpful staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel, but currently being renovated"
The hotel was great for my practical needs, and the hotel staff was incredibly helpful. However, the hotel was in the middle of renovation and was nowhere near as luxurious or "hip" as the pictures implied. The hotel was very loud during the "going out" hours... around 10:00 PM to midnight.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"In the Heart of the City"
I loved the hotel and staff are all very friendly. The only issue I had was that my room was to be a queen size and the bed was very noticably a double not a queen. Other than that it was a great hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotels renovations have made it much more appealing, matching it's convenience with additional amenities and lobby appeal!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect location for shopping"
Loved the staff and the hotel was in walking distance of a lot of great stuff. Awesome views from the room and I loved the on-site parking.Genuine Expedia guest review
The room was fine, a little small. It looks like the rooms themselves have been updated, but the hallways seemed a bit drab. The hotel appeared to undergoing exterior renovation as there was scaffolding attached to the building. I went to Toronto for a funeral and the hotel was convenient to where I needed to be and was directly served by a bus to and […] from Pearson airport. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel, good price"
The hotel is nice but the elevators need work. They took much too long to come for such a large hotel and were often full when they did arrive. It's a reasonably priced hotel but not cheap enough to have to deal with that.Genuine Expedia guest review

"DO NOT STAY HERE"
The hotel was under construction. The room was freezing cold and the heater only heated the room from 4' up. I asked for a space heater and was brought one from the fifties. "Good getaway hotel"
If you're looking for a hotel for that night out in Toronto, this is ideal. It's got some great amenities for everyone. The only issue is that if you're looking for some quiet after 11pm, good luck. The after night club crowd comes in around 2am / 3am.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"close to roger center"
The room was clean ,wallpaper was peeling and the place is in need of some work. The fan in the furnace was quite loud. Wish we were informed that the pool was closed, the kids were disappointed. Hoping to have a better experience the next time. SusanneGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The room pictured online was not the room I had. The room was old and smelled like mold. I would think twice before booking if you have allergies. The lobby and restaurants were overpriced. Just terrible!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Skip the breakfast buffet. Not worth the $19.00. Breakfast in the market restaurant might be better (much busier).Genuine Expedia guest review

"Not too bad"
This hotel was great. The rooms were a bit small though but they were very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. They have a nice pub in the lobby which gets pretty at night time but everybody there made it so enjoyable. They had free wifi, a nice indoor pool with a jacuzzi and two small weight rooms. The rooms also have balconies but they were […] closed due to construction. And the only draw back is the food that is available in the hotel is a bit pricey. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great downtown location"
I traveled with two teenagers for a combined work and vacation stay. The girls loved the easy access to shopping, tourism sites, and the swimming pools. I loved the fact that there was a quite adult pool just for me! Staff were friendly and helpful, concierge team in particular was really great about suggesting restaurants and things to do!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Family friendly, location, price, enough said."
Maybe by Canadian and American standards this place maybe a bit old and run down, but I paid plenty more money for worse places around the world. Take it for what it is, an average hotel in a very central location for a low price that can cater to families. Indoor pools.Genuine Expedia guest review
It was a bit surprising to have a room without hot water with no explanation (I can't imagine a plumbing system which would isolate one or a very few rooms without hot water so why would a maintenance man fiddle around in the bathroom on a quest for hot water?). Once the quest was abandoned a new room was fairly quickly assigned. A construction crew […] busily erecting structural steel towers alongside the hotel as the support for steel plates holding up the poured-concrete balconies (both rooms) gave one thoughts of structural soundness. Hotel has balcony but u can't use it. The main reason I book here is because of the balcony option and being able to get fresh air. They have recently locked the patio dooor so u can't get out. Very fusteratingGenuine Hotels.com guest review
