The free breakfast was good. The hotel itself was nice, but nothing special. Parking seemed very expensive.
"Travel back in history"
The hotel needs a major renovation. I felt like I traveled back in time. The decor has probably never been renovated and the seats in the lobby were stained. The room was really depressing, it was dark and tiny. The bathroom was tiny, especially the toilet - I think it was a kids toilet, my goods dipped into the water and touched the porcelain. I would like to thank for you posting a review regarding your recent with us. I was disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy your stay and found the room dark. We have renovated most of our rooms on lower floors, and we continue to upgrade other rooms. I assure you we do our best to accommodate the requests of all our guests, such as larger rooms and complimentary upgrades. Due to the occupancy levels, limited room types, and the volume of requests we receive we are not always able to do so. I am sorry for the inconvenience as well as the disappointment this caused. We went to Toronto for the weekend. The hotel was nice, the pool area was great and there was a lot for the kids to do there. We opted for an upgraded room upon check in. Nice clean room.Good location, good value. Room was good but small. Only complaint was directions given by hotel staff to find subway station were incorrect so I had to wonder around a bit to find it.

"High Floor"
Was on the second to top floor, nicest room I've ever had at this hotel, maybe they are renovating from the top down?

The room you stayed in on the second highest floor is part of the Signature Club floor, which are the nicest rooms of the hotel. We have renovated rooms on lower floors 4-9, and we are continuing to upgrade our rooms and hope to finish the process soon for the rest of the hotel. My family and I had such a wonderful experience staying at the Delta Chelsea. It is one of the cleanest and best kept hotels that we have ever stayed. The food in the lobby was good, the room was very nice, the location was great- super close to all main attractions, and the staff was very nice. We had our 22 month old daughter with us and the Delta Chelsae was especially great for her. When we checked in, there were special stairs for her to use to "check in", where she was given a coloring book and a rubber duck. She is still playing with those after we have returned home! There was also a free kids play area where we were able to give her […] time to play with toys and make crafts. The location and value of the hotel was great. The on-site cafeteria was OK, but the staff were not attentive to the needs of families. For example, the chefs refused to listen after you placed your first order, never considering that a person holding a child and standing next to a spouse might indeed need to order 3 meals, not 1. Hotel room was alittle run down, but room was clean. Bathroom needs work.

This a great location for walking and taking the subway. We had a car and took advantage of the valet service. Everyone we had contact with was very friendly and helpful.

Too much construction around the hotel made it difficult to enter and rooms seemed too old. Washroom felt unclean.

Public areas are much nicer than the rooms themselves. The furnishings are a bit dated and are somewhat worn. One light didn't work until service person replaced the switch, otherwise lighting was fine. Amenities in bathroom were excellent. Room size was smallish but acceptable for a city hotel.

I always stay at the Delta. It's clean, convenient, and the staff are courteous and helpful. Still shocked that the Delta doesn't have wireless internet connections throughout the building. This likley will mean that I have to change hotel choices in the future ... unfortunately.

"Personable Staff but a lot of miscommunication"
The staff was great and always willing to help; unfortunately quite a bit of miscommunication went on which led to a lot of frustration. The rooms were nice, but a bit small. Would I recommend this hotel? Not sure. The hotel itself is good, just too many inconsistencies.

"Don't trust what personnel tell you about Delta"
We called Delta directly and asked three very important questions...each question was answered but when we booked and got there we found out all the answers were incorrect. When we went to the manager to explain the situation we were completely disregarded and told basically too bad. The concierge (woman) was very unhelpful and told me to go elsewhere […] if I didn't like it. We will never stay there again nor would we recommend this hotel. Read more

My wife and I stayed in room 2046. There is wallpaper peeling off the wall under the window, the chair is very worn and looks as if it came out of someone's garage sale. There was no heat in our room until after midnight. I had stayed there may times for work 15 years ago and was looking forward to returning - we were very disappointed.

We operate on a one pipe system and when the air turns cold suddenly, unfortunately, with the size of our building, it takes some time for the water to heat up and warm our guest rooms. Although the problem is rectified when the weather stays cold (or warm) we know that it can be uncomfortable for our guests who are staying with us during the change of season. Very good service between the conceirge, maids, etc. About 25 minute walk or less to the Toronto Film Festival theaters and subways. Restaurant is like a cafeteria with a lot of selection and good food that is reasonably priced.
I was glad to hear your stay with us was exceptional that that you enjoyed the services provided. We are located in the heart of downtown and are withing walking distance or a short subway ride from many of our local attractions. Thank you for reviewing us. We hope you stay with us again soon.

Great hotel, great location. The $25 add on package was a bargain. This will be our hotel of choice when visiting Toronto.

"Dont go here"
The room was small and stinky. We had to get our room changed because the restroom had pee smell. When I walked in I felt like I was at a third world airport....preferred this over marriott after looking at the pictures...would never do that again.

Enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very kid-friendly. Our children loved the pools and the treatment of younger children. Unfortunately, the only negative was that when we arrived, there was no parking in the hotel lot. Being that we were unfamiliar with Toronto, we had to drive around looking for a parking lot which was quite inconvenient. The staff who […] checked us in was not so helpful. A great place to stay when visiting sick kids hospital The hotel staff is very friendly and even though the hotel is huge I felt like I received personalized service
