""Hotel Budapest" style hotel"
Stayed 9 nights is this nice hotel. Very easy to use street car runs on the same street so this is very convenient for tourists or others there on business as I was. Taxis are quite expensive so the convenient street cars are an easy alternative. A great breakfast is provided every day. Rooms are well kept, housekeeping good. Was very pleasantly surprised that this hotel is VERY quiet day and night and was much appreciated by this guest. Only negative is the sand paper they call toilet paper. Bring your own! Theirs is just awful.

The hotel is old. Bed are soft and uncomfortable. The smell of cooking in the stairs is umbelievable. the personell is not so kind. I took a special offer for my stay and it was cheap for the city. The subway station is near, so are 2 public bike parking. The river is close to have a nice walk. It's a bit far away from district 1. The breakfast is complete but the quality is low, apart the bread quality and variety. there is wifi everywhere. So, good but nothing special. If you get a special offer is ok, but otherwise not.

Old-world charm in huge rooms with extra high ceilings (not all of them are like this, but ask and you will probably get it). Excellent breakfast. Take the tram around the corner to be in the city center in 5-10 min or just walk.

"I was not impressed"
I'm sorry to give a bad review, but aside from being only a few blocks from the underground and just across from the tram, I didn't care for the hotel. The pictures are deceiving, it's not that shiny and neat. When I arrived the check in was very inefficient, the gentleman was quite confused. Then the room was not clean-hairs on the bed, in the tub, stains on the carpet, and the bathroom was unclean. Also, policies were inconsistent; they tried to charge me for an extra day, after granting late checkout. I just wasn't impressed by the staff, disappointing.

I spend 5 nights in this hotel. I booked a doublebed room for me and it was ok. The bathroom was very small and not cleaned everywhere. The lights in the room were very poor and the TV was very small and had a bad quality picture. I found an open bottle of Pepsi Light in the Minibar (cleaning staff did not check if this was already opened, I refused to pay for this). The aircondition was turned off and there was no chance to turn it on. The hotel does not offer a free WiFi and the price of 10 Euro per hour is not ok for the year 2013. Many guest opened there own wireless hotspots with there phones, i guess roaming internet is cheaper than the WiFi. Breakfast is also very overpriced and there are no power sockets next to the bed. I can't recomend this hotel for young people, if your just looking for a bed and 4 walls, this is the place you should go as it is very close to the metro and it is easy to reach.

This is a classic Austrian Hotel with a comfortable lobby with period furniture though some of the furniture was showing it wear. Our room was comfortable and was cleaned daily. The hotel is located in a good neighborhood but too far to walk to the shopping district and sight seeing areas. The "D" tram will take you from the hotel to the historic areas and the subway system is convenient. The Wi-Fi policy and service unfortunately is archaic. Free Wi-Fi is available only in the lobby and your are only given 30 minutes. Breakfast at 15.50 euros was overpriced and was only average in quality.

"Exceptional bargain"
The Bellevue Hotel was an exceptional bargain for a stay in Vienna. If you plan on taking the very convenient U-Bahn system, it is located close to a stop making all of the city's sites very accessible within a few minutes. If you want a hotel walking distance from the prime tourist destinations, this hotel does not meet your needs. While it is not the Four Seasons, the hotel is more than adequate for a major city, providing a clean and adequate room for a bargain price.

"Friendly Staff, Very Clean, Terrible A/C"
The staff was wonderful, they dealt with my inability to speak German with grace and helped me out by checking me in for my flight online and printing the boarding pass too! The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've seen, a great variety that included champagne! Mimosa's in the morning are greatly appreciated. Also included a lot of different cultures types of breakfast food. The room was spacious, the vaulted ceilings were HUGE. In room mini-fridge, but with minimal room for personally bought items. The beds were very comfy but lacked a thin sheet. I mention this because it was HOT, 30 degrees Celsius, and the A/C turns off automatically when you remove the room key. I understand this is to conserve energy, however after being gone from the hotel this leaves the room stifling and the small window did not help. Good location, wasn't far from anything. Would absolutely recommend, just on a cooler weekend.

"Our good experience with Bellevue Hotel in Vienna"
Compared with what we pay for hotel in our European countries we visited this time, this was the best hotel we stayed. Of course, the upgrading our room without extra charge had something to do with our rating. But you will really have the sense of history to stay in the hotel.

Our recent experience at the Bellevue can be described as most enjoyable. Even though we arrived 3 hrs prior to the allowable check-in time, a room was available and we were permitted to check in, which was a huge convenience for us. In addition, we were upgraded to a deluxe room, which according to their website, is 15 sq. meters larger than a standard. This was a lovely bonus. And Daniella at reception was gracious and helpful, as was Mr. Rose. The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable, with air conditioning (which you must turn on yourself but the controls were easy to operate)and which was most welcomed with temperatures in Vienna reaching 36C. The bathroom was modern and clean. The bed was comfortable & when we requested extra pillows at reception the following morning, they were in our room when we returned that evening. And perhaps because our room faced a side street, it was surprisingly quiet. The drapes provided fairly good room darkening. The bar and dining room are as charming as the lobby, and we enjoyed both. The immediate neighborhood surrounding the hotel was not entirely appealing (to us), but it changes with just a short walk up Porzellangasse, which we also used to walk to city center (about 30 minutes) but if you don't enjoy walking or are unable to, the "D" tram can be taken from in front of the Franz Josef train station, just across the street from the hotel. Tickets can be purchased in the tobacco shop across the street, in the same mall where McDonald's is located. I, in particular, tend to be more fussy than my husband, but I could find nothing wrong with this hotel. It's always a bonus when you can look forward to returning to your hotel at the end of the day. And by the way, the hotel has an arrangement with a local taxi company, whereby a fixed price of 36 euros will get you to the airport. Request your taxi at reception.

"Vienna visit"
We had a lovely time in Vienna when we stayed at the Bellevue. Tram took us straight from Hauptbanhof to 100 metres from the hotel. The hotel is really well located. Tram into the city centre and all of the sights took only 10 minutes from the Bellevue. The room was very clean and comfortable, breakfast was excellent with a good range to choose from, and the staff were very helpful. All in all we had a very good experience and a fantastic time exploring Vienna.

"Very nice hotel with easy access to the centre."
Hotel was very good but the reception staff were at times unhelpful, ignored you and were quite abrupt. We would expect far better from a four star hotel. The bar and restaurant staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast time was a bit chaotic and everything was self service even tea and coffee which in our experience is not up to the standard of a four star hotel. Overall a very pleasant stay in a beautiful city.

"Poor internet"
The hotel is in a good location to public transport and feels to be a safe area to walk around at night. The room was an accurate reflection on what was advertised, dated but clean and comfortable, you get exactly what you have paid for, we had no issues with any night time or street noise. The breakfast included was more than adequate and was situated in a nice dining room area. The negative to our stay was the quality of the Internet, this may not bother some travellers but if you require a level of Internet to communicate with family, or make travel plans and check emails whilst away it is not easy from this hotel, you end up wasting precious time.

"Dirty and dated room but good location"
This was my second stay in hotel Bellevue in one month. My first stay included a surprise upgrade to a suite which was a huge and lovely room - we couldn't believe our luck. Unfortunately, our second stay resulted in a much smaller (but still decent sized room) which was seriously In need of a refurb - stained and faded carpets, plasters stuck on the walls to cover holes in the wallpaper and a 1970s style bathroom with a peeling bath. The room would have been fine though considering we were only sleeping there and not planning on spending a great deal of time at the hotel. The big issue was the cleanliness - our first room had been spotless but this one needed hoovering, had bits of rubbish on the floor including a bottle lid, everywhere was thick with dust, there was eggshell all over the dressing table and the bath was grimy and full of hairs plus the toilet was still bearing the marks of it's previous users. We were not impressed and when we complained the maid who came to clean the room did not do the job properly, she just quickly pushed the Hoover round so we had to bring her back and tell her exactly what needed to be done. The location of the hotel is around 20 - 25 minutes walk from the city centre and there is a tube station (friedensbrücke) under 5 minutes walk away. The hotel is literally 2 minutes away from the beautiful Lichtenstein park and palace which is great. It's also close to the grand Strudlhofstiege and sigmund Freud museum and a supermarket.

"Good, old style hotel in very handy location"
The hotel is located only a few subway/metro stops from the city centre. Also, you can walk along the Danube canal (5 minutes from hotel) to the city centre, which only takes about 20 minutes. The staff at the hotel were friendly and could speak a variety of languages - e.g., German, Italian, English. Rooms are air-conditioned, which proved a real bonus when I was there as there was a bit of a heatwave. My room was incredibly quiet, too, in terms of noise from other guests - I couldn't hear a thing from any of the other rooms or the corridor (fantastic!). I could hear traffic noise from the road, but that didn't bother me.The breakfast was very good, with some hot options (e.g., scrambled eggs and small sausages) available. There is a supermarket across the road (open 6 am until 10 pm) which was very handy. Also there is a tabak there - where you can buy your train/tram tickets (cheaper than buying on the train/tram). There are numerous cafes nearby (and a McDonalds), so no problem food or drink-wise. A post office is located only a few minutes away, too. I would definitely stay here again.
