There was an abundant breakfast every morning.I was pleased with the value for my money. I would stay here again and encourage any one else in the san diego area do the same.

We requested a non-smoking room. The room we got smelled, but they moved us promptly. They did not clean our room up the second day or the fourth day. We called to have them clean the fourth day. When they did clean, they didn't replace the coffee or the paper cups. The cable went out for a full day. We called the desk several times, and each time we got a different story. We have stayed here previously and it was a much better experience that last time. We will probably not stay here again.

Besides the Ice Machine being pretty far from my room, my girl and i stayed for 1 night and it was great. Clean, Working remote control, ample lighting, nice bathroom, fast wifi, 10% discount to IHOP that is 20 paces from the hotel, nice staff and under 10 minute drive to everything we did that night. I'd stay again and I'd recommend staying. PS I didn't try the pool but it looked a good size and clean and there was no gym(if that helps=))

the hotel room had a bad smell. it was very crouded in our room. the breakfast was a joke. at 8 am we went down to have breakfast and everything was well stocked and then about 10 maids walked through the lobby and they each took a muffin from the tray and a milk. I asked the front desk if they had anymore muffins and they said once the food is all gone its all gone and i told her that all the maids just came in and took a muffin each only then did she refill the tray with some danishes. we have stayed at other la quinta and they were nice this one was aweful! we were going to cancel our reservation and get another hotel but at the time all other hotels we tried were booked. it was not close to our destination at all! it said 7 miles but we were about 20 minutes away

The staff at the hotel were very kind and helpful, they sincerely seemed to want to go out of their way to help. But the building is dated and seems to have some pumbing issues. Also had very strong chemical smell from cleaning products, which for me is a health challenge. The carpet was in pretty good condition as were the bedspreads. Honestly I dont usually go for 2 star hotels but my guess is this is about right for the rating.

Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 26, 2009
I picked this hotel for price and proximity reasons. For the money, it met--but certainly did not exceed--my expectations. The room was adequately sized, and the bed was one of the more comfortable ones I've slept on in some time. The shower--like in most hotels--is not built for someone 6 feet tall or more. My most salient complaint is that the entire top floor is smoking rooms, forcing me to chooise between a non-smoking room or a top-floor room (so I don't have to hear people walking on top of me). The result was I had to stay beneath someone seemed to have a very hyperactive (and heavy) child, which was rather annoying. They have something resembling a continental breakfast, but the selection was pretty pathetic. Fortunately, though, there's a restaurant next door. Bottom line: It's a decent place, and it's fairly convenient (right next to the freeway and within easy distance of a couple large shopping centers), so it's an OK place to stay if you have reason to be in the area.

This hotel's management treated me with respect and were accomodating during my recent stay. For the price, this was a nice deal. My room actually faced the freeway yet I could not hear the cars! I would recommend this hotel but not the IHOP next to it. Although the hotel gets you a 10% discount there, the prices are still pretty steep. Try Valentina's Mexican food restaraunt just North of the 78 on the right hand side for some very good mexican food!
