The room was basically comfortable and the bedspread was clean but overall room was not very hygienic. The sink stopped on me, it would not release all the water that had collected. There were left-over food from another person that was still left in the fridge. Some of the dishes provided were not washed very well.

Usually I've stayed at Extended Stay in CA but the're Fair.This one had Odor in the room( from Smokers?) when it was a NON Smoking room.Very Long Hallways also Does NOT help in removing the ODOR so if you're sensitive to Odor of Smoke you'll be Okay but Hallways are really smelly.Will not recommend for family.

I used expedia website to reserve my room. It was so clear that I wanted a non-smoking room. When I arrived the hotel, I was given a smoking room on a very heavily smoked floor. My room was smoked all over and I could not even breathe through out my stay. Bed was dirty, bathroom was not clean. Plates in the kitchen are visibly dirty. On the 3rd floor, […] there were people who are keeping animals in their room and they were pooping on the hallway. On the 2nd day of my stay when I arrived, I noticed a piece of animal stool in front of room. I asked the reception person to bring this to his attention. He said that it cannot be cleaned because the cleaning person is not in the hotel (it was 6.30 pm). I said okay. It was not cleaned when I arrived at night the other day. In addition there were other areas in the hallway that I noticed animal stool, as well as garbage all over. It was smelling horrible. I again called the reception and said that this is unacceptable. Another person was there and gave me the same answer. "nobody is here, you have to wait until tomorrow for cleaning". Through out my say I asked constantly to move to a nonsmoking room but my request was never granted because of "unavailability". Read more

Within easy walking distance there are several decent restaurants in addition to Wendy's and a local chain called Portillo's that's famous for Chicago style fast food like hot dogs and Italian beef sandwiches. Not quite a hotel regarding amenities like an ice machine in the hall, daily maid service, pool, jacuzzi and so forth, it was still a decent […] place to stay. I made arrangements for one of our instructors to stay at this hotel. Everything online made the hotel look acceptable. We have used Extended Stay America hotels before and have never had any issues. However, this hotel has got to be one of the worst around. The guest checked out after the first night because there was urine on the toilet, the linens […] were old and stained yellow, there were burn holes on the comforter (in a non-smoking room), and the smell of the hotel was very unpleasant. I had to stay at this hotel while waiting on a house with my three year old daughter, while playing around, she discovered used cigarette butts under the bed along with an open condom wrapper and some sort of green seed. I would not recommend staying in a smoking room.

When we arrived (late on a Saturday evening), we were easily & quickly checked into our room...good first impression... Upon entering our room: looked clean and we were content. However, we soon discovered that the bathroom toilet was not functioning properly. We informed the receptionist. Smelled like if the previous occupants had been cooking in the kitchen and the room had not aired out well. We were going out for dinner, so the attendant said he would air out the room. We came back about 4 hours later...the room still smelled!!! So, our overall low ranking of 2 stems from the first room's bathroom toilet not working and the smell in the second room. The carpet was filthy in our room. I had taken a shower and walked out of the bathroom into the room and sat down on the bed to put my socks on. My feet were black on the bottom from the dirt on the carpet!

Fortunately, I was only staying there between 11pm and 6am. If I had had more time, I would have had them clean the room, but it was late and the last room available. The floor was sticky. Nothing fancy, but a decent bargain for your money. It's nice that they have a microwave and full fridge in your room. Also, the TV's are new, flat screen HDTV models. I noticed washing machines and dryers on site, but didn't use them.

I checked in around 3pm and my room wasn't ready. I was told that the maid had called in sick and that the manager was cleaning the rooms. The woman at the front desk was very polite and apologetic, but I was shocked by the situation and had just one hour before I was supposed to be attending an event and needed the room to get ready. This hotel lacks alot, however, the price was decent compared to surrounding Chicagoland hotels and the location was good. Seems there were alot of young people who work at this hotel with little experience, but they were friendly.

Upon arrival the hotel seemed horrible. When we arrived the person at the front desk informed us that they over booked the hotel and that there were no CLEAN rooms available, She said that she didn't get paid enough to do this S**t. The front desk person "cleaned" a room for us and it smelled horrible. The room looked attrocious and smelled like dog. […] The room looked like a roach could pop up at any moment. There were no towels in the room and the person at the front desk gave us towels before we went into the room. All in all that hotel sucked and we will NEVER EVER EVER go back to that hotel.
