The hotel was very comfortable, a bit faraway from san marco which is the centre of venice. The working crew were very cooperative in all aspects. Room was clean.

If I were to ever go back to Lido, this would be my first choice! I have stayed on Lido before and this hotel blew my last stay out of the water! First of all, the staff was awesome!! There was also wifi available in our room. It is located directly across the street from the beach. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel as well. The roof was convenient when I didn't want to lay out on the beach in the sand. The breakfast was delicious! It was your typical European spread. Bread, meat, cheese, fruit, yogurt, and they even had a breakfast quiche. We ate at the hotel's restaurant every night since it was so convenient and reasonably priced. The waitress was very nice and the food was great! I definitely recommend everyone to take advantage of their free bicycle rentals. My husband and I rode around the island and even used them to get to & from the boat dock everyday. Overall, after our 10 days in Italy this was our favorite hotel and we want to go back just to stay there again! Read more

Our hotel stay at Residence Venezia 2000 was wonderful. We had a room with the view of the Adriatic Ocean. The restaurant was excellent. The bus stop was right in front of the hotel. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

The wi-fi service was sporadic and the telephone did not work in our room. The desk staff was not helpful with the telephone issue and suggested I use our friends telephone, which I did, but the local call I made cost 9 euros.

This was a nice hotel with a nice restaurant attached and located across from the Lido beach. It's a nice place to stay if you want some quiet away from Venice in the evenings. Lido has some nice shops and restaurants. Downside is that the hotel is quite a hike from the boat dock.

We were glad to get away to Lido after the masses of people in Venice. It's a charming town. This hotel is 15-20 minutes walking from vaporetto station when pulling suitcases through hole-filled sidewalks; if it's hot, it's a challenge. Short, easy/convenient trip to Venice proper-recommendation to use the "A" bus to the hotel once you arrive to Lido island and buy an unlimited bus pass to access Venice proper and Lido island. Although I've been to Venice before, this was my first stay on Lido. This quaint little island reminds me of Palm Beach - a short boat ride from St. Mark's Square. Although the hotel is walkable from the dock, I would recommend a taxi for your initial arrival as the hotel is located on the far side of Lido, directly on the water. You will have access […] to an enormous beach area. By European standards, the rooms are quite large and the breakfast certainly adequate. The roof terrace has lounge chairs and a large jacuzzi. Only don't expect to use your laptop, as Italian anti-terrorist laws are putting a squeeze on hotel wireless internet services. (No internet? Could be a blessing in disguise.) We found the best restaurants on Lido. So after a day of sight-seeing in Venice, we would hop on the boat to Lido and stop off for dinner at one of several beautiful and inexpensive outdoor restaurants on the walk back to this hotel. On check-out, we neglected to pick up our passports. We called the hotel from the train station. Our desk clerk had already contacted Expedia to find out where we were going and made arrangements to send our passports to Florence. THEN he jumped in a boat and made the 45 minute trip to the train station himself and found us just boarding the train. If you can think of better customer service than this, I'd like to hear about it. I believe you will be more impressed with Venice if you stay at this hotel on Lido, than in congested, touristy Venice "central". Read more

Had a one night stay. Initially did not realise that living in Lido was a good choice, however when I travelled back to busy city and came back to Lido it was a relaxing feeling. Traversable Lido is not very big. At least hotel is quite an easy walk from Lido water bus station. You can take bus number 1 (has more stops and goes through the main city […] - Grand canal) or 5.1 (fewer stops however little farther from the number 1 stop). On lido station take the straight road Granviale Santa Maria Elisabetta and turn left at the very end keep walking left to reach the hotel. Granviale Santa Maria Elisabetta has many options for food. We bought a Venetian mask for €15 on the same road, not an exceptional bargain. The hotel offers a very helpful map of Lido and Venice with top 10 attractions to visit. Another tip, when buying the 24/36/48 hr etc water bus ticket, would not recommend to add Grand Canal tour for additional €10. You may any way cover that in water bus for free, so €10 is steep for the commentary you get on tour. Though the tour boat is very good quality and comfortable. Breakfast is very basic, being veg and chicken loving not many option. Had to eat croissant, egg, cereal, yogurt, Yes I also did hear water running in the ground floor room as mentioned by others but that's tolerable. Internet is free however wifi signal is not strong for my smart phone even at ground floor. Lastly, hotel staff was friendly and polite. Felt welcomed. Overall a good value for money. Read more

Our room had the unexpected bonus of a balcony and they were fine with us checking in a bit early. Hotel is conveniently located close to Lido beach. It's not far from the main street with restaurants and shops either. It's a little bit of a walk from the waterbus terminal. Great hotel in a lovely location. It is on the lido and the hotel us about a 15 min walk to the watertaxi stop, but if that doesn't put you off it is a fab hotel for the money. The hotel does a great breakfast up to 10am and even did us a breakfast bag on our last day as we had a v early start. The time of our visit probably didn't do the hotel justice, the holiday season hadn't quite kicked in & it was a bit far out from most of the sights and sounds of Venice . It's only ten minutes from the centre of the Lido shops and bars & 15 mins to the boat terminal, so in the busier season this would be a terrific spot. We had a couple of problems activating the electric in the room with the door key but this was sorted in minutes by the friendly staff. Even the mini bar in the room was cheap, @ €3 for a beer. If you're wanting a quieter time in the quieter months, with quick and easy access to the crowds of Venice or you want to enjoy the Lido at its peak, this is the hotel for you. This hotel is about half a mile from the vaparetto stop. You walk along a bustling high street, full of lovely shops and restaurants, and all along the road of the hotel is a lovely clean beach. The beach is private from June to September 15th, and a key and beach hut can be obtained from the hotel. Outside this season, the beach is open from one accessible […] point, but there are no lifeguards. The hotel itself is excellent. We had three rooms (a twin bedroom, a bathroom, complete with shower and bidet) and another room with a sofa and a table with a marble top and four chairs. The rooms were spotless; they were cleaned daily and the towels were replaced. The hotel provided a bath/shower gel which doubled as a hair shampoo and a small soap for the sink. I suggest you take your own toiletries if you have special requirements, as these are basic. The breakfast was a mix of croissants, one single type of ham, one single type of cheese, boiled eggs, juices, coffees (from a machine, not that fantastic too strong for me) and yogurts, cream cheese, jam, rolls etc. The breakfast is wholly adequate, but you may become bored with it if you are staying longer than a few days. I cannot stress how good this hotel is, there was a restaurant attached to the hotel and it was very well priced. Check out the restaurants along the main drag, there were some fantastic ones. Decent 3 star, has all the amenities you need, but some major shortcomings on the following. 1. No CNN or any English language news channel in your room, despite that staff will tell you to keep searching the channels - only option is to borrow remote from front desk for the lobby TV, you can watch CNN there. 2. Internet is not free, option is wired […] connection in your room at 6 euros for 3 hours, and a free 30 min pwd given on a daily stay. Problem is, connection from hotel is satellite, so expect drop after every 1-2 min - awful. 3. Noise insulation - expect to hear everything above and next to you, request a corner room, and I mean everything. Despite the above 3, the hotel staff is very good (special thanks to Thomas and Andrea) - the blonde gal has her on/off days - cleanliness is very good, room size is excellent, location is ok (need to take vaporetto to Venice) - breakfast is very good, and restaurant staff is very appeasing, despite the lack of English. Don't forget to get a free 1 hour bike rental, very nice experience touring Lido by bike. Would stay there again if ever in the Venice vicinity, though that is highly unlikely, since the Venice tourist trap experience has left a very sour taste - expect to get ripped off while in Venice - boat for the locals is 1 euro, you as a tourist pay 6.50 per ride or multi day pass - many locals don't even bother paying, nor get questioned to board, but you will. Also, the menus are for tourists only, the only time you feel like you're not getting ripped off is at the supermarket. Read more
