The hotel location and cleanliness was great and they allowed an early check in. However, the TV in the room did not work and had to be replaced, several light bulbs were burnt out and maintenance had to replace them. On our last night, there were smokers in the room next to us (which was a non smoking room) and the hotel said there really wasn't much they could do about it. Our room smelled of smoke and it was aweful. We requesated a different room on a different floor and it was much better and wish we would have done it sooner. I think we may have just gotten a bad room. The breakfast buffet was great as was the managers reception in the evening with free cocktails. Overall, we left a bit disappointed but will give them a chance to redeem themselves on a future visit.

Whenever we travel to the Portland area we stay at the Embassy Suites Tigard. It is easy access from freeway, easy directions, our whole family can stay in one room and the breakfast alone is worth half the price of the room. The only "bad" thing this time around was that they kicked us out of the pool area at 11:00 (children are not allowed then) even though we along with another father/daughter couple was there. No adults alone. That was a bummer and I think that they could have allowed us to stay even if only until Adults arrived. Oh well, I am sure we will continue to stay. The Huge Washington Square Mall is right next door with a shuttle from hotel!!

We heard about this hotel from a friend and he had nothin but great things to say about it. So we decided to take a trip to portland for the weekend to get away. We only stayed Saturday night, but it was an excellent trip. My daughter loved being able to swim in the indoor pool while it was pouring down rain outside. We also enjoyed the HUGE free breakfast and snacks/drinks in the evenings. We stayed in a queen suite, which was more than large enough. There were two rooms: the queen size bedroom with tv and a large living room with a pull out sofa and tv. It really was nice to have a separate place for our 5 year old to sleep and watch tv. Lastly, it's in a great location being literally next door to the wshingon square mall and tons of other shopping (I.e. Target, burlington coat factory, etc.) Overall it's a great hotel. However, if you're staying be ready for a busy hotel. My friend had the same warning to me. The hotel always seemed to be busy. It didn't bother us, as it is a family-friendly hotel and it was still rather quie in our rooms, but the in and out flow of people doesn't seem to stop. Again, we didn't consider this to be a drawback, but others might. Great stay!!

We stayed for one night & could have stayed much longer. We have 3 kids ages preschool to grade school & they loved everything about this hotel. The indoor pool was perfect for burning off their energy, not too crowded & well stocked with towels. The room was very spacious & comfortable. Basically a home away from home. We had a fridge for keeping drinks cold & a microwave for making our popcorn to go along with the in room movie. Plenty of room for a family of 5. The breakfast buffet (included in the room price)had tons of selection & overall the food was very good. The location across from the WA Square Mall was ideal & Target is just across the street for anything you forgot to pack. We will definately stay here again. One hint is to request a room in the north tower which is away from the center of the hotel where the noise travels up from the indoor atrium area. Also, the highway out to the mall tends to get backed up so that is a consideration if you are coming for a weekday visit. Small issues to contend with for such a great place!

Great location and very clean. The comp. drinks and breakfast are great perks. This hotel can be very busy and active with younger kids and teenagers so its not for everyone. My compliant is that the hotel charges you for local calls at 0.75 cents a call. If you don't have a call phone that can be an issue. Also they charge you 9.95 for internet service. Something that is free at most hotels. With those improvements it can be a great hotel with all the right perks.

Very satisfied with everything. My one little complaint would be the living area was a little dark even with all the lights on. I wanted to work on something and it wasn't bright enough, I would have liked one lamp a little brighter at least. Other than that it was great. We will book again in April when we come up for the Doctors appointment.

The hotel and the stay all in all was not all that bad. The two things I have issues about was the air conditioning in our room worked only 2 days out of a 5 day stay. They changed the motor once and then a day or so later it went out again. The front desk was informed but the ac never worked again. Good thing is was not that hot outside. Also we had a pillow that we throw on the floor daly because of something being on it and the cleaning personel never seemed to notice. Other than that the hotel was fine. They had a manager special which was nice to have snacks and drinks provided by the hotel. The location was not bad either. The mall is within walking distance and the area was convient to the interstate and could get around pretty well.

This hotel used to be outstanding and had a certain image to it. Now, it's pretty good with large rooms, but it's dated and the cleanliness isn't what it used to be. It really used to feel like a suite. Now, not so much. The breakfast is nice. Made to order omlettes, but the rest of it is just average now. Pancakes were cold. I thought they had a chance to really make it really great, but for the cost, it failed to do that. Still, I'd recommend it.

The hotel is located for convenience, not scenery but is off the roads enough to where there is no road noise. This was a slow time so parking was fine. We had a room on the 9th floor (top) and the family liked the glass elevator though the dog didn't. The interior of the hotel is all open so you can see all the floors (sort of like the Luxor in Las Vegas). The double beds were small but very comfortable as they had a padding over the mattresses. The rooms are big enough for Queen beds so not sure why they didn't have these. The suite had two rooms with T.V.'s in each room. They also provided a rollaway bed. The pool / spa looked bigger in the photo on the web. It was 5'5" deep at it's deepest point. The water in the spa & pool wasn't the clearest so was probably a bit deficient in chemicals. As is typical, they charge for games, movies, and internet in the rooms. We only stayed one night but enjoyed it.

We have a toddler so it was nice to have separate bedroom and breakfast taken care of. Cleaning service was really poor. The only time they would come was after 1pm, which is when we had naptime. Called for service before and after nap, only came through once. Also, shared areas were dirty- the same fork remained on the floor in the hallway for 4 days, as did the pretzel and juice spill by the elevator. Yuck.
