"Great location, great hotel"
Great value. I always stay here when I go to the Portland area for business. I can take my whole family. The breakfast is great. They serve up freshly made omelettes with anything that you want on it, made to order at the omelette bar. There is a fresh fruit, yogurt and cereal bar. Anything that you might like for breakfast, they should have it. Coffee […] is okay, but I'm picky about that. From 5:30pm-7:30pm there is a manager's reception (AKA "Happy Hour") where drinks are served complimentary and snacks are available. The rooms are spacious, quiet and comfortable. The pool and hot tub are refreshing and well maintained. The restaurant is a little pricey, but has some decent food. It's near enough to Washington Square, so you can walk there to shop. There is also an outlet mall nearby. McMinnville is about an hour away through beautiful wine country and hazelnut farms. Downtown Portland is about 20-25min drive. Great location. Highly recommend staying here. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Exactly what you expect from an Embassy Suites. Everything in good shape and with good service. Hotel was very busy on Saturday night and Sunday morning, bustling with families. Room is becoming dated.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"FREE HAPPY HOUR"
I always like staying at Embassy Suites and this time reminded me why. First time at this location won't be the last. Good food and shopping walking distance, all others a short easy drive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel and great free breakfast"
Nice hotel and the breakfast was wonderful! The room was clean and big! I would stay here again!Genuine Expedia guest review
I really enjoyed my time at Embassy Suites in Tigard. Very nice hotel and the prices were very reasonable for what you get. I loved my suite and the bed was super comfortable. Great hot tub, interior of lobby and restaurant are lovely and a perfect little gym. The breakfast buffet was included which is very generous. I came towards the end and the food […] seemed kind of old but they still had a nice selection and I'm sure if I had stood in line for fresh eggs they would have been fine. I would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat. Oh and the staff are top notch! Very professional. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"hard to find"
We had a terrible time finding the hotel. GPS CANNOT FIND IT!! However, once we arrived it was excellent. Staff was great. They even took us to our restraint for dinner and brought us back We will definitely stay there again..Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a bad stay"
Breakfast lines were a bit long. But staff was nice. Looks like it was a good place for the soccer teams coming through for weekend travel games . Bed was comfy. Had to keep bathroom door closed at night due to some sort of fan that was running that we couldn't shut off. A/C was noisy too .Genuine Expedia guest review
Very good reception from hotel staffingGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This was a fun shopping weekend for my sisters and I. Our hotel was super close to the mall, and it was easy for us to find. We had a great time and the room was a nice place to come and relax after an exhausting day. The only draw back was at breakfast, the omelet line was HUGE so we didn't have the time to wait. That was kind of a bummer since I heard […] they were great Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very Disappointed in Customer Service"
My first impression, the staff seemed bothered that we were checking in. There were two agents working the desk and a manager. One agent was busy, the other had just finished with a guest and after waiting for several minutes and no acknowledgment I finally stepped closer to the counter and said to the available agent we are checking in. She barely […] looked up and seemed annoyed that we were speaking to her. When we went to our room we were there for only one night but noticed burnt out lights, a sink in the bathroom that drained incredibly slow and finally when we arrived back at the room for the night after our function the AC didn't work. I did report it at checkout and again from a different front desk person received a response of indifference. She asked if I reported it and I told her no since we were back so late but thought they should know. There was no apology, there was no concern and the manager was at the desk and said nothing either. The agent didn't ask how are our stay was and the entire conversation then consisted of "I will report it". I was in the lobby for quite some time after checking out and she moved on to the next guest...There was no report because she never wrote anything down or typed anything out. So all in all this will not be a place I will return to for anything if I expect customer service. I was very disappointed and have not had any service like this at any other Hilton or Embassy Suites property. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Stop over on my way to the coast. Room was comfortable and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Buffet style breakfast was good, very crowded and difficult to move around for buffet. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Nice and close to Washington Square.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel. Close to shopping and restaurants."
Convenient. Easy access to the freeway and not in the middle of the city.Genuine Expedia guest review
We arrived from California choosing the Embassy for its class and style. Our days were very full so we wanted to return to a hotel for the relaxing experience. That exactly what we received. Happy hour was a great time to kick back and meet other travelers. This allowed us to enjoy the environment as planned.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Would stay here again"
The service was excellent, and at night when the crowds were gone I enjoyed the pool (open until 10). The bed was comfortable and aside from the wifi (which worked for my husband's Windows computer, but was terrible for my Mac), everything was as it should be. The room was quiet and the temperature comfortable. Breakfast was quite good, although the […] evening reception was disappointing. The beer was Budweiser and the food consisted of nachos - the kind with gooey plastic cheese. It was pretty far out of town, but there were restaurants in easy driving distance (Red Curry for Thai was good, and a brew pub in the mall was surprisingly good too). We got a $5 day pass and took the bus/train to Washington Park and then downtown Portland, and that worked well. The bus stop is quite near the hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We were stranded in Portland because of Chicago air traffic control fire. The really good news was they had a bed and it was comfortable. Bad news was the A/C did not work and they seemed unable to fix it or move us. Otherwise if was fine for a commuter hotelGenuine Expedia guest review
"Embassy Suites Portland - Washington Square"
I was very happy with what they offer. Large spacious suite which gave my grandson the opportunity to crawl all over the room and living room. I was very impressed for every night stayed you can enjoy a free breakfast buffet. Made to order omelet and variety breakfast meats offered.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Embassy Suites Stay"
The hotel room was spacious and the room was clean. The location isn't the best for sightseeing, but if you have a car, all the highways are easily accessible from the location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel in west Portland"
its a nice hotel with great staff. my only complaints(and one of which the company can do nothing about)is that the entire hotel is only serviced by one group of elevators in the same area. you got to walk a long way from the elevators if your room is on the other side of the hotel from the main lobby. the other complaint is that during breakfast, the […] staff didnt replenish some of the food in the buffet often enough. yet I'd stay there again Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Parking space extremely narrow"
Embassy Suites is a Great hotel don't get me wrong. It is very frustrating though when the parking is so close you can hardly get out of your car. We drive a nice car and don't want to get door dings. Providing more room in the parking spaces to allow the cardoors to be opened without banging the car next to you would be a great improvement!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very nice Experience"
First time staying at an Embassy Suites location. Very impressed with the room size and amenities. The managers reception-snacks in the evening and the breakfast was great. "If you like noise stay here......"
Traveled all over the world, stay in a lot of hotels, this was one of the worst nights sleep ever because of the noise from staff all hours of the night and early morning. Carts clanging up and down the hall, what sounded like pots and pans crashing together. The room was old and in need of renovation. I prefer Embassy Suites usually, this was a bad […] one!! "Very nice hotel in the southwest suburbs."
Knowing nothing about the Portland area, I ended up choosing a hotel in the southwestern suburbs. However, the city's public transit is so great that it didn't matter at all. The area around the hotel had almost anything we could possibly need... Target, grocery store, places to eat and shop. We had a king suite, so I can't speak for any of the other […] rooms, but ours was wonderful. The hotel had every amenity I could have wanted... my only issue was that one or two nights we returned to the hotel late to find that there were no more handicap spots. The hotel staff was amazing... one gentleman at the front desk even helped us re-plan our trip into the city for a bachelor party so that it didn't take as long, and I didn't have to walk a block to the bus stop. He drove us in the hotel shuttle to a transit plaza and gave us directions to commute from there. Service was astounding! I'm very glad I booked with an Embassy Suites... despite running a little more than I'd like to pay sometimes, I am always pleased with their guest services and thankful for the hot breakfast provided in the morning. They didn't give us enough amenities for the amount of guests we had, not enough towels, pillows, blankets or shampoo and conditioner. Keep an eye on extra charges to your bank account! Besides that it was a very nice place to stay and very clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Hotel but not as nice as in the past"
We stay at this Hotel every couple of months as we love the location, breakfast and surrounding activities. For the first time, we were a little disappointed. Our room had been cleaned but there was a pile of dirty towels in the bathroom that had been left behind. The sink in the room also had something back up out of it, which was a bit disturbing […] and caused us not to use it. Both issues were promptly addressed but this visit was a little disappointing for us. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"City Break Weekend"
Hotel was nice, but not up to the standards of other Embassy Suites stays. While generally good, breakfast was crowded and lines were very long for the cooked-to-order omlettes. (In all fairness, it was Labor Day seekend.)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not that great"
Disappointed. The rooms drab and outdated. We had a king suite, was a nice size. The bed was very comfortable. We got too hot in the night, so I turned the A/C down to 54. The elevators were all centrally located, and a long way from our room. There is no ice machine on the second floor, so you have to go all the way over to the elevators, and then go […] up to the third floor and back to get ice. The parking lot was made for compact cars. We have a 2014 Ford Focus which is not very big, and the parking was still tight. The manager's reception had a LOT of people waiting in line for potato chips, corn chips, salsa and ranch dip. There were alcoholic beverages, too, but did not partake. Kids running amok, pulling spouts of liquids to run on the floor, etc. I wish we would have skipped this. It was NOT worth it for CHIPS!! The breakfast was not that great either. Kids everywhere, nowhere to sit, pancakes were TOUGH, the bacon was good, but i only got two strips. Here is what we had: two tough pancakes, coffee, mushy sloppy scrambled eggs (did not eat), two strips of bacon. The coffee was good, thank goodness. The soda/juice/or water glasses were 6 oz. My husband got himself four on a tray, because it was basically two swallows. Lines and lines and lines and people swarming everywhere. Kids out of control. Trailer park clientele. UGH! I wish we would have went out to McDonald's for breakfast, it would have been better. We will NOT be back. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"5 star hotel with all the amenities"
Had a lovely stay at this hotel. Wish we could have stayed longer! They are pet friendly which is nice and they have a complimentary managers reception at night and made to order complimentary breakfast in the morning. Doesn't get any better than that! And it was really nice. The beds and pillows are super comfy and the room was large with a separate […] seating area. Bottled water in the room and coffee and teas. Overall, a really nice hotel with decent rates. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not quite up to Embassy Suites standards"
The hotel was clean and the pool was fun for the kids. Unfortunately the room was getting tired with peeling paint and stained carpet. The staff was ok but not overly helpful or cordial. Overall a satisfactory stay, but not much more than that. We stayed on a very busy weekend, so some inattentiveness was expected. The usual breakfast, however, was […] marred by over crowding. Instead of putting on more staff or finding a way to accommodate the needs of more people, they simply opened up other rooms with tables which allowed more people to stand in line for breakfast. It took more than 1/2 hour in line to get an omelet, so my family was done eating before I even got my food. We went out to breakfast the second day. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This is a good hotel to get together with our family in Portland and we have stayed many times. This time, the room smelled of smoke at check in and i called the desk and was told "all rooms are non smoking" There was a terrible smell and I had to tell 3 different desk clerks at different times. Finally, they had a room on the 3rd of four nights but […] tried to reach me on the room phone - to change rooms. We were out all day and did not get the message till the next day -too late. "Great hotel disappointed in pool."
Awesome hotel and great service all the way around. The only thing I found disappointing was that the pool area was completely open view to the main part of the hotel and elevators. In other words no privacy at all. The pool area is all glass uncased; which is fine until you realize the elevator doors open at the lobby to a full view of the pool area. […] Nothing wrong with this design; just not my cup of tea. Not to mention that it was cpmpleatly filled with kids and family all day and night everyday. Again nothing wrong with this if you are vacationing with kids; however not really a relaxing dip in the jacuzzi kind of location. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
