It's a nice step up over most non luxury hotels. Everybody was nice, the food in the restarunt/bar was delicious (for breakfast and lunch) and the hopitality staff knows the city and sent us to great places. The internet sucks and they know it. Nothing the staff at the hotel can do about it however. Next time I'm in Jacksonville I'm at the Omni.

We found the staff to be very courteous. Hotel overall is an excellent choice, the location alone is a plus. It is in walking distance of restaurants, shopping,and museums. There was a problem with our room, but we were offered another room and a bellman came to move us, and very apologetic.

Three cousins showed up in Jacksonville for a get together. The hotel was very responsive to adjoining rooms. They actually got it. the room was very clean and well appointed. the beds amazingly comfortable. The only "complaint" was that it was difficult to use the bathroom because the door, when open just barely cleared the facility. One usually does […] close the door, but the bathroom was small and the door seemed to ALWAYS be in the way. Otherwise great hotel, the carpark staff were most accommodating and the bellman sent the van to take us to a restaurant across the river. I did not receive the service that is indicative of most Omni hotels. We did not get the correct beverages delivered to our room two nights straight. We ran out of toliet paper after the first night with no extra roll available in the room. It took 35 minutes for the delivery of toliet paper. We had a knock on our door from housekeeping and honor bar […] ck even with the privacy do not disturb hanging from our door. I was charged an honor bar charge after being told at check out that my advance payment left me with a zero balance. How can you be charged a fee from locked honor bar when you decline the key for access from the first night throughout the entire stay? Read more

Upon arriving the rooms were clean, but our bathroom had a broken toilet which moved and a stopped up tub which was brought to the attention of the staff, but never repaired. We booked two rooms at the hotel and were given very good views with adjoining rooms. This is very unusual as hotels don't seem to get if you want two rooms you probably at least want them on the same floor. The hotel is well appointed, the staff friendly and I cannot say enough about the bellmen and car attendants. They went out of their way to drive […] us across the river to a hotel we were interested in visiting. However, their signage leaves a little to be desired. The only marking visible is the OMNI sign on the top of the hotel itself. I had a very enjoyable stay- I was here for 2 nights while in town for work and had an excellent experience. I came in very late from meetings during my first night and I was pleased with the option of late night room service- I travel frequently and often miss usual hotel dinner time due to long hours at work so this was great. I also appreciated that […] Omni gives its reward program members plenty of perks even without having accumulated any prior stays- the free internet/free coffee were greatly appreciated. I chose to park in the lot directly across from the hotel and found this to be a convenient and inexpensive parking option. The hotel was great . They held my bags while I ran a 5k across the street then when I finished the race. I was allowed to check in early which was a Godsend. The room was clean, and had a great view of the parking lot. I had to search for the coffee/tea tray and then find a plug to plug it into. I will stay again if I run 2 races in one day.

The hotel was advertised as "within walking distance" of the event I was attending, which isn't a lie...but it's a long walk. Not a walk you want to take after being on your feet all day long. That is my only complaint! The hotel service and cleanliness was outstanding. I would stay there again.

There was a country music festival at the same time we were staying there. At two in the morning, young people returning to their rooms were nosiy and kept us up. Next time I'll ask if there is anything like that going on and if there is, I will choose another hotel.

Hotel staff seemed willing to help but it was obvious that training and oversight is not up to par for what they claim this hotel is. Elevator pulley squeaked terribly, thermostat in room did not work, housekeeping never showed up, not enough cups, coffee or creamer in room. Limited in room late night menu. NOT worth the high price.

My only complaint is that the mirror outside the bathroom is in a dark alcove and is useless due to lighting. Overall the stay was fine. We had stayed there over 23 years ago. Would stay again.
