Omni Jacksonville Hotel

The hotel has a good situation, It is in Downtown. You can use the parking close to the Hotel for $5 all day. You can walk around the River The sunset is wonderful.

Hotel was great. The Jags players stay there too before the game. There was one glitch. Hotels.com said free parking, which is not offered. The hotel reversed the charge, even though I didn't ask them. They even let us keep the car there during the game.

We booked the Omni for a short weekend trip to Jax for a concert across the street at the Moran Theater. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. We had a premium king room with a view of the landing and river front. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Only things I didn't like was the $20 per night to park, the WIFI was $10 per […] night and there wasn't a store in the lobby for refreshments. And, lastly room service knocked on our door at 8:00am the day we were checking out. Check out was not until 11, it felt like they were kicking us out! The only complaint is that there was a $20 a night charge for valet parking and when we asked if there were any other options, they failed to tell us that the lot across the street was only $10 a night. So if you stay there, do that.

Even if I'm paying the discounted price, as a business traveler, I expect the in-room internet to actually work. It was spotty at best, and not at all helpful when I needed to work in the evenings or early mornings. The poor connectivity pretty much ruined what was otherwise an acceptable hotel.

The hotel was very nice and the rooms were clean. The only thing we had a problem with was there was not enough lighting in the room. There was lamps but the lamps did not give off enough light.

Nice hotel, but the beds are far too soft. My wife and I both left with sore backs and feeling tired from two nights of mediocre sleep. If they had firmer beds, the Omni would be one of the best hotels in which we've ever stayed. Thanks.

Enjoyed the view. The valet are a turn off. You just have to keep your ticket on you, be patient, and watch those guys. The room were a good size for 2 people, no more. The fridge took a while to get cool. I'd say just don't go into it thinking or expecting more than what you get. Comfy bed and nice bathrooms though.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location is fantastic!! It is in walking distance to the water taxi, restaurants and shopping. There was a shuttle at the hotel to take us anywhere we wanted to go. (for a fee). We will stay there again.
