Overall, I don't recommend the hotel. Stayed there for several days and had a few minor, but notable, issues: the hotel is under construction (meaning there is plastic on the floors and drilling and nailing going on at different times of the day), the ice machine doesn't work (not major, but a bit annoying), they don't clean/replace glasses in your […] room if you use them (never had this issue before), the sink isn't in the actual space of the shower/toilet (personal thing, perhaps not a big issue for some), the room was incredibly small, and the cable would go out for minutes at a time for no reason. Perhaps none are deal breakers. That's ok. On the flip side, it's in a decent neighborhood, the staff were nice, and the wine hour was a nice touch. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"No complaints but no superlatives either"
Great location and hotel was fine, no complaints but no superlatives either - except maybe for proximity to Union SquareGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great price for location, mainly due to meh rooms"
Service was excellent. Location was very good. Attached restaurant was very good. Building was quite old, and it showed in the rooms. That said, for the price, it was very easy to overlook the aged interior.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Another pleasant stay."
Could have used a microwave, but otherwise clean, quiet (even nearby room renovation wasn't a problem), comfortable and convenient for our purposes.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Should be a 2 stars hotel"
I stayed for only one night and was overcharged by the hotel by $50 over guarantee rate by Hotel.com. I had to fight to get that overage removed. The strange part is that I saw the hotel charging me the guarantee price and then reversed that charge 2 days later. I had made sure I checked out on time and did not consume anything form the minibar. The […] cleaning crew came knocking on our door at 8:30 AM and then came back again at 9AM when there was a "Do Not Disturb" sign hanged outside the door. My room was right across from the elevator so it is extremely noisy hearing all the foot traffics in the hallway. The room looks old and dirty. This should be a 2 or 2.5 stars hotel. Friendly staff made us feel very welcome. The wine reception was nice. Older hotel, but to be expected in SF. Will stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Love the Vintage Court"
We had a really nice visit to the Vintage Court. We have been there before and it consistantly works perfectly for our visits. Inches from Union Square, the Tonga Room, a trolly car from North Beach - the best!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel staff was extremely professional and courteous. The restaurant inside, Gane SF, was amazing. Overall I enjoyed my stayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Solid 4 - charm and character!"
I loved this intimate litte hotel. Charm and character. Loved the lobby with couches, Christmas tree and fireplace. Our stay coincided with a 13-hour blackout and the whole staff was kind, helpful and understanding.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean and Cozy"
Cozy. clean hotel with wonderful, friendly service in a SUPERB location. Not a lot of extra amenities, but great for the cost. Will definitely stay again. Self parking in a garage a block away for $30 or valet for $40.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel renovation in progress."

"Executive Hotel Vintage Court- boutique hotel"
Boutique hotel in a good location (near Union Sq). Very good value since San Francisco hotels are very expensive. Rooms are a little dated and small bathroom/shower but I was hardly in the room. Service was friendly and helpful. Free happy hour was a nice touch and a good way to unwind from a long day. "Game" Restaurant was right next door. Interesting […] menu (venison, goat, etc.). Did not have an opportunity to eat there during my trip. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Poor Quality Hotel"
The photo of the attractive lobby is misleading - the hotel is shabby and in need of renovation. No curtains on my room's windows - just slatted blinds that didn't close fully. The internet was too slow to use - when I complained I was told the hotel was full and lots of people were using it. Is this 2014 or 2000? A hotel with "Executive" in its name […] has to do much better. Elevator is impossibly slow and used constantly by housekeeping staff. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would love to come back!"
I loved this hotel!! We had the cutest room with the windows on two walls over looking the street. It was roomy, and the bed was super comfy! Across the street was a small bar called Chelsea place, it was a small neighborhood place with friendly people:) The complimentary wine tasting was great, it is self serve:)Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Check out more well known hotels first"
The hotel was a little dated. Rust in the sink and shower, yellowed shower curtains, mattress as hard as a rock. Fortunately I wasn't in the hotel the majority of my stay so it was fine. As far as service, Ronnie was the only attendant who was truly helpful. We were told by one of the attendants that we would need to call a cab or limo service for our […] early morning flight and that they would not be able to help us in the morning. When we went downstairs the next morning, Ronnie asked if we would like him to get a shuttle for us to the airport, which would cost only $14 per person, rather than the $50 taxi it was going to cost. I already had a cab there so we spent the extra money. I wish all the hotel concierge were like Ronnie. Ultimately, the hotel was average to below average. If it were a little more up to date, it might be more charming than it is now. For a quick business trip, it may suffice, but I would recommend booking a more well known hotel chain instead of the Hotel Vintage Court. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The room was clean. Beds were comfortable. I really liked the fireplace and seating area. The hotel is well situated in the heart of San Francisco within walking distance to cable car, shopping, good food and the BART. The noise from Bush street at night was a little overwhelming. I would ask for […] a room away from the street if I stayed here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Quaint little hotel, only 1 block from union square right in the heart if sam fran. Cable car right on corner easy access. Would def stay again, small room but great for the little amount of time u are actually in the room, could use a little hotter water in shower only negative i saw.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was truly depressing other than the proximity to my office. Everything was be on uncomfortable or even unclean. The most startling thing to find in the minibar was the mouse trap.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent Hotel in Nob Hill"
This is a small boutique hotel in the Nob Hill neighborhood- a great location. The rooms are small like a lot of big city hotels. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom only had a shower and you had to maneuver around a bit. It is an excellent value for the area and I would stay there againGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"I will stay here again"
I loved the Executive Hotel Vintage Court. First off, prime location for first timers–– just a short walk from union square and where the BART drops you off. The hotel was adorable, a cute boutique feel with the practicality of an actual hotel. The people were great, very much there if you needed them, and not if you didn't want them. My only real critique […] was the lighting– it's a bit harsh in the room, but overall a clean hotel and I can tell is gradually progressing. Great stay and will stay again :) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Staff, Lowsy Wi-Fi"
The staff was exceptional, but the Wi-Fi Free Internet is among the worst we have ever experienced. The Wi-Fi needs to be revamped.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
100 yr old building. Room clean large right across from elevator. Very quiet except for the city noise which is very difficult to avoid. Bed was very comfortable great pillows. Very friendly staff. Nice safe neighborhood I walked alone late into the evening and felt very safe. Easy to get a cab.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"good value for price- comfortable but small rooms"
decent and comfortable hotel with clean but small rooms in an older building (which i think a lot of the hotels are in this price range). good central location. after looking around online it seems SF is much more expensive compared to NYC in what kinds of rooms you can get for the price/location. i chose this hotel and it was pretty accurate to the […] reviews. we were disappointed that the room faced into an interior area so there wasn't much light. but the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable- so decent value for the money. "Convenient location, but some issues"
Faucet/shower diverter on tub faucet really didn't work well resulting in reduced shower water pressure. I didn't arrive until 2:30AM due to flight delays and had little recourse in morning as I had to be at work.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The best thing about this hotel is the wine tasting.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to Union Square"

"Use only as a last resort hotel!"
This is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. The bathroom was really small, the shower so small that it was not possible to pick anything up off the floor without getting out or I would hit my head. All really old and rusty fixtures, creaky floors and the window unit AC was the worst--noisy beyond belief and it did not fit in the window right so […] there was a big gap to the side and it sounded like the window was open all the time. Very loud street noise. The whole hotel smelled like an old musty mattress. The staff was not helpful and did not seem to care about anything. If I hadn't prepaid all three nights, I would have left right away. Big mistake to pre-pay here, it seems like after they have your money, they couldn't care less. I would not stay here again unless it was the last hotel in the city. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Perfect location and the hotel was first class!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I recently attended a conference and this hotel was a nice leisurely walk away from the locale. It's a very quaint hotel and maintained very neatly. The staff were friendly and quick to respond to any questions I had. The hotel is also very close to all the downtown stores, a diverse set of restaurants and a very short distance from Chinatown.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient but musty"
The hotel staff was very nice and helpful, and the hotel felt cozy and comforting. However, the room was musty smelling - so much so that some of my clothes had to be washed of the smell when I went home. The bathroom was out of date and in somewhat ill repair (cracked tiles, etc.). My room faced the side street and the garbage collection at 5am each […] day, as well as drunk people yelling at night, sounded like they were in my room - there is no sound proofing it seems. All that being said, I had a nice stay and enjoyed the lobby area and free wine happy hour there. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Worse than a motel that charges by the hour"
I am absolutely disgusted with the condition of this hotel and the room. I would not recommend anyone stay here. The staff was friendly however the room was filthy. Stains on the headboard and the wall, dust and dirt in the corners and on the walls were just the beginning. Holes gouged out of the carpet, the bed was lumpy and dusty and there was a window […] unit for AC/Heating which you would not expect for $500 a night. There was not a closet or dresser either and the bathroom was old and dingy. The worst part was the SMELL. It was a cheap cologne smell covering something rotten. It was so overpowering, that it caused gagging and I had to leave the room. The staff was nice but clueless. I called hotels.com to get a refund and found another hotel to stay in for the week. I absolutely do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Affordable hotel, lovely stay"
Great location, wonderful staff and a bed/breakfast feel. Not the fanciest hotel around, but for location and service, it was wonderful. Would absolutely stay again. Short walk to Union Square and Chinatown.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stay here as only your last resort"
This hotel is a dump, period. Stayed three nights on business and if I would not have prepaid, I would have left after the first night. The bathroom was terrible--very old fixtures that were rusty and the shower was very, very small. I was not able to avoid touching the shower walls and/or the shower curtain the entire time I was showering because the […] shower was so small. When I dropped the soap on the floor, I had to get out of the shower to pick it up or my head would hit the shower wall. The hotel smelled musty and the window-unit air conditioner was loud and did not work very well. The windows are very thin and the noise from the street was so loud that I would swear the window was open. The workout room is a joke. Three pieces of equipment (although the elliptical is actually pretty nice) completely fills the room. Given the premium price for this hotel, there are tons of other options in the downtown area and I recommend looking at anything other than this hotel. It is not a good place to stay. "Hotel needs work"
Way over priced. Probably the worst hotel breakfast I've ever had. This hotel needs work!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was comfortable. The building is old and does show need for repair and is what you can expect from a hotel built in 1906 or thereabout.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is a great hotel with good value located on the nicer side of Powell, away from the Tenderloin. Staff was always nice and hotel had unfussy but decent facilities, including a good fitness center and small business center. As others have mentioned, it did get a little musty/stale in the room, but nothing that couldn't be fixed by opening the window. […] Parking was initially a little confusing (garage down the street gives a ticket that needs to be validated by the hotel staff daily, but this wasn't initially communicated, even upon inquiry about how the process worked, leading to a bit of a hassle). Internet is very slow. Still, overall a good week; I'd definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel;spectacular location!"
Was in SF for business in Financial district so this was a PERFECT location. Comfy bed, very small bathroom (but fine since I was one person). Thought there would be street noise as I had corner room on 3rd floor but it was negligible. Prices were sky high when I looked around and this was decently priced. Not a lot of amenities, but with what is available […] right out the door, no need for room service etc. Gym is very tiny, but I used the elliptical which is all I really need, so it worked just fine for me. Thought overall a great choice for me. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
