"good place in Dublin"
The room was fine, no frills, and no WiFi in the room, but management was nice enough to move us to another room when outside noise was an issue.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A little warm but not the worst"
Great location, small but adequate rooms. Tub was large and comfortable at least. No AC I don't believe, at least not that we could control.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Location for Temple Bar activities"
If you want a homebase for pub crawling in Temple Bar the Blooms Hotel is a good choice. Staff at the front desk and the attached Vat House pub weren't overly friendly and the room was stuffy but if you don't spend a lot of time in your hotel room this shouldn't matter. The beds sufficed and the shower worked.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Central location, but beware the party crowd"
My daughter and I stayed here for our sightseeing in Dublin. The location is fantastic for visiting Trinity College, historical sites, catching the bus, restaurants, the river. My only caution is that half a block away on weekends it's a madhouse with drunken party people. We were on the fourth floor at Blooms and a lot of the sound was muffled, so […] not a deal-breaker. But still, you should know about this if you plan to stay there. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not for the faint of heart"
Room is not in good condition. Very basic. Internet only works in the hallway or lobby, very noisy day and night! Construction on the building next to us. Garbage trucks early in the morning. Most staff are friendly. If you don't mind the noise and like to party this is the place for you.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Temple Bar is so much fun at night! Being close by everything is awesome! However, it is loud at night...which didn't bother me but may bother some. My opinion--great location, great price!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best location for seeing everything"
Loved it!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great hotel for adults."
The hotel was great with a restaurant, pub, and nightclub. Of course, being right in the middle of Temple Bar, it was noisy outside at night even being on the 3rd. floor. For parking, there was a 24 hour parking garage on the adjoining street. There was a discount on the parking fee for the garage. At least the car was off the street.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Pros and Cons"
The hotel location was fantastic, especially if you are younger and looking to be right in the heart of temple bar. The bar below Vat House is also fantastic, live music every night starting at 9:00 and very friendly and helpful bar tenders. You will hear the people down in the street throughout the nights, but nothing too disrupting. However, be warned, […] there is a club underneath and on Friday (it wasn't active M-T) night it started bumping starting at 12 going until 3AM, might not bother people who are out be we had to catch a flight at 8AM the next morning so that wasn't super appreciated. We could have moved to another hotel had we known, we didn't get sleep all night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to all the fun"
The Blooms is a great hotel if you love fun and like Temple Bar. The rooms were a little cramped, but comfortable and The Vat House has great food.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient, but noisy"
It was very noisy; even on the 5th floor, we could hear everything the DJ was saying in the pub.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is close to anything in Dublin. Only a few minutes walk to anywhere you had to be. The rooms were a little less clean that preferable, with a few stains on the carpet, and the beds were very hard. For the price though, this was perfect for a quick stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Within walking distance to many sights"
Our stay here was very enjoyable - the shower was great and having reliable Internet in the room was great. The room was clean and The Vat House attached to the hotel had very good food. Truly accessible to so many things. The Temple Bar area is hopping until late at night and we thought it was noisy, until we opened the window - then we knew that the […] room was as soundproof as possible. We used white noise to block the "outdoor festivities." Would definitely recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Although a bit loud, the location rocks!"
The Blooms was wonderful! The staff was great as well, very friendly and helpful, great service. The rooms were clean and nice, and the location really can't be beat. You're right in the heart of the temple bar area and just a couple minutes walk from Grafton street. It's really easy to get around when you're so centrally located. The only downfall […] is the noise, you are by a bunch of bars so you'll hear drunk people into the wee hours of the night, but it's not terrible. I'm a light sleeper and it wasn't even too disruptive for me. I absolutely recommend this hotel especially considering Dublin really is a walking city. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location, right near Trinity college, centrally located to many incredible sights in Dublin. Located in Temple Bar, perfect for nights out with friends. Wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a quiet stay with family, but if you're for nights (and days) of drinking and adventures this place is perfect. Can't wait to come back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to wonderful Irish music venues"
At first we were worried that the hotel would be noisy as our room was directly across from housekeeping and there were alot of banging doors as they finished up their late afternoon service. It did quiet down and there was not too much noise from the street since it was a Sunday night. Nice touches like a goodie bag w/Irish music CD's and 2 drink coupons […] for the attached bar. "Awesome location and great pub"
We had a great stay...pub and music was a 10...we were right above the disco that finished at 3 and then clean-up of bottle tossing there after so that was a definite downer...Derek was great at the VAT...we would go backGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dublin is great!"
I felt Blooms hotel has a really good staff. Everyone was extremely accommodating. The location was awesome. Very close to sights, bus stops, taxis, grocery and drug stores. We had breakfast at the hotel and it was very tasty and kept us going for the whole morning. The elevators were prompt. The heater worked just fine. One not so great issue was that […] the fire alarm went off twice during the night. This is a non-smoking hotel!! please follow the rules!! Even though the hotel has obviously been updated cosmetically the floors in my room were very slanted. It did not affect our comfort in any way. The beds in our room should possibly be updated soon. "Know what you're getting"
Not the best if you're looking to see the sights and come home to rest. Perfect if you're looking to party through the night. Ask for a room in the back if you want to sleep through the night or drunk people from outside will wake you up at 3am with their racket.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very nice. Rooms are a bit small. Everything else was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Our room was cold but as soon as we notifed the staff they brought an extra comforter and space heater; they left both for the duration of our stay. They let us check-in at 11am (we landed in Dublin at 8am or so). Staff was great and their bar - The Vat House - was a nice place to enjoy a pint or two. Another plus, we were within walking distance to […] just about everything. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We had originally booked a hotel a little bit out of town to save money but I am so glad we changed to here. The staff was super helpful, the location was central to everything and our room was great. We had our do not disturb sign up to stop the maids from coming in, but they still left fresh towels, linens etc at our door...great service! And the […] Vat House is downstairs (thankfully we were on the top floor, I'd imagine it might get loud lower down. But that place always had live music and again, the staff was great. The internet in the lobby was finicky at times, but its free, what else can you ask for. All in all, I would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"The place to stay in Temple Bar!!!"
Room was clean, staff was friendly. Location was outstanding. If you have never been to Temple Bar, think Bourbon Street New Orleans without the beads or crime. Blooms is a short walk to Gogarty's or the Temple Bar or Fitzsimons which are all great party places, plus the hotel bar serves guests after hours if you don't want your evening to end! Great […] location. Slightly noisy, but nothing a few pints couldn't fix!!! Totally would stay there again!!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Book This Hotel"
My 24 year old son and I wanted a location that was close to everything. The Blooms Hotel provided that for us. From the moment we walked on the cobbled street to the door we new this was the perfect location. The Temple Bar area was full of entertainment as far as every pub had a live band playing. Not just in the evening, but during the day too. There […] are ample restaurants and shopping. We decided to use Dublin as a central point to tour ireland and Northern Ireland. 4 of the 6 days we were there we used a local tour company for our day coach trips throughout the South and the North of Ireland. Our pick up point for the tours was just 5 minutes walk from the hotel which made it even more convenient. The other 2 days we had to ourselves and were able to enjoy Dublin itself. A lot to see and do, and within walking distance to almost everything. Originally I had read about the noise traffic in the streets from the room, I heard nothing, even though I had a room facing the side of the hotel overlooking the street. As in previous reviews from other patrons, I have to agree that Breakfast, as good as it is, is a little expensive. The VAT bar in the Hotel is a find. Service is very good as well as the food. We found ourselves eating at the Pub at the hotel quite frequently as the food was exceptional, not to mention the live entertainment. Again, if you want to enjoy yourself in Ireland. The Blooms Hotel is a great and convenient place to stay. The price cannot be beat. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"great central dublin location--collegiate atmosphe"
room was clean but spartan. only downside is the pub downstairs plays hard rock music from 10 pm to 3 am, friday sat and sun. we stayed fri and sat and could not fall asleep until after 3 am. you wont either. we were on the 4th floor and it seemed that the band was at our bedside. best advice is to sleep during the day and stay out all night. you cant […] sleep here , until after 3 am. weekends. "Just a little tweeking"
Need coffee machines in the room. Vending machines somewhere would have been nice. At one point late in the evening the desk clerk stepped away with no sign on the door and several of the guests were in a panic as how they were going to access the hotel. At no fault of the hotel, since it is located in Temple Bar it was quite noisy.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to all must-see sights downtown"
Friendly helpful staff. Very good location close to downtown, Trinity College and Temple Bar neighborhood. Room was comfortable but bed and linen needed an upgrade.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"rooms have no sound insulation"
good location but the lack of sound insulation in the rooms is very bad. i was kept awake until 03:30 on 1 night and then awakened by a street cleaner at 06:00hrs. i would not stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Temple Bar Crawl"
This is actually a very nice little hotel tucked in the corner of Temple bar. The rooms aren't very big, though they are fairly modern but if you get a room above Level 5 the WIFI will not reach you really well. The elevator in this hotel is actually the smoothest and quietest I've ever encountered, I wondered if it was broken when I ended up at my […] floor! Now, where as you are there for Temple Bar and the tourists, the location can't be beat though at about 7am the garbage trucks arrive and all you hear for about an hour is broken glass being smashed into their lorrie. It can be a bit noisy. The room was otherwise very nice, clean and had good water pressure in the shower (which is rarer than you think). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was fine. Nothing special. Good location if you want to see downtown Dublin and the Temple Bar area. Fire alarms and club music in the middle of the night weren't ideal though.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great stay!! Close to everything.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great hotel and friendly staff! I would suggest requesting a room on an upper floor because of late night street noise. I was ill for part of my stay and the Housekeeping Staff was very considerate. Will definitely staff at the hotel again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I don't normally write reviews for hotel, but I have to say that the Blooms was EXCELLENT value for money and really central to everything in Dublin. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location was NOT worth it."
We chose this hotel because of the location. But, that was not worth all the negatives. They do not have any parking so you will have to walk about 2 blocks to park your car. The front desk staff were very slow and not attentive. I was traveling with my husband, we had reserved a room with a full bed. They put us in room with two twin beds. They didn't […] seemed very concerned about the mistake and asked us to wait until another room was clean. We were very tired and hungry so we threw our stuff in the wrong room and left for lunch. The room was very small with no temperature control. Overall just very uncomfortable stay. If you are looking at this option because of location, you are better served by staying elsewhere and just walking a bit further or driving. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The location of hotel was excellent. De. Breakfast was excellent. sk staff was very helpfu. lCroissants were especially good.. The only detraction is the hotel rooms pick up street noise at night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location.... Nice Hotel"
We stayed there for five nights. It's in the heart of Temple Bar. There is a really good pub with live music in the evenings. The only drawback is that it was noisy. We were on the 5th floor and we had music from the pub wake us up at one in the morning and we could hear kids screaming on the streets at all hours of the night.. We figured that comes […] with the territory. We would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location for the Temple Bar"
I stayed here for 4 nights in September 2012. This is a non air-conditioned hotel so keep that in mind if you stay here when it is warm. They did provide a fan. You will need to keep the window closed at night since it is so close to the Temple Bar with lots of noise. The carpet was a little stained and the beds not the best but not a major factor for […] me. The location of the hotel is great if you want to spend time in the Temple Bar and the near by shopping areas. Easy to get to any of these places by walking. For the cost of this hotel it is a good place to stay. I would stay here again but only in the cooler months. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Average, cozy, great location, great staff"
Average hotel, right in the heart of downtown Dublin's Temple Bar area, best part is the pub downstairs, The Vat House. Live music every night, food is awesome but pricey, but so is everything in Temple Bar. Bartenders and wait staff were very nice and also very helpful in suggesting things to do. No central AC in the rooms which was weird for us being […] from Florida, we got used to it though. The room was what we expected, like I said average but comfy, having to keep the window open at night, it got kind of loud when trying to lay down to go to sleep, but if you go to stay in Temple Bar expecting quiet you're crazy ;) not a bad stay, would stay there again for the overall experience. Would recommend. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The bed was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept on. We both woke up with a sore back. There was no a/c and the room was extremely hot. It was too loud to open the window or door for air. Would not recommend to anyone looking for comfort or a recents nights sleep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"In Temple Bar Great Location"
This hotelis in the middle of Temple Bar room comfortable and decent size but carpeting filthy. Window did not stay open so room warm. Since it is in the middle of Temple Bar there is noise from bars below. We didn't mind because worth it to be so centrally located. Great pub downstairs with live music. Would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dublin's Blooms Hotel august"
Pros: convient location, helpful staff, nice bathroom with good water pressure, bed was comfortable. Cons: noisey which is to be expected in temple bar district, carpet in room was disgusting.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location in the middle of the madness"
If you're coming to party, this is a good option as it's right in the center of Temple Bar...Close to all the pubs, tourist center, wax museum & Trinity College. My only real gripe is that the WiFi barely worked in the room. However it was fine in the hotel lobby. Also, no air conditioning, but opening the window did the trick.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to all palces I want to see"
Hotel amenities, location and cleanliness is superb. Free room wi-fi should be included, though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
