This was only my second stay at a Red Roof Inn. It was similar to the first location I stayed at earlier this year-clean, helpful staff, but very, very basic. I even had to ask for more pillows since the queens sized bed had only two. The sheets just feel cheap. There is really nothing "wrong" with the place, and the location is great, across the street […] from a mall with a McDonalds and a Panera, and right next to an On The Border. So overall, clean, convenient, but that's about it. And don't believe any hype about a free breakfast. There is really nothing there unless you consider a danish and coffee to be breakfast. It's a 2-star hotel but you get what you pay for. It wasn't dirty, and overall it was a pleasant stay. I didn't realize that pets were allowed in the hotel or else I would not have originally booked it. Thankfully I was checking out the next day as my asthma started flaring up because of it. Hotel was nice. The best part about the hotel was that they allowed dogs and did not ask anything about size etc. One pet allowed per room no questions asked. The way it should be. The bathroom was a little dirty and the drain in the shower was clogged. But other than that the room was clean and the service was good. I would stay here again.

We stayed in this hotel because there was nothing closer to Salem at the last min. We were here for three nights. The hotel was nice for the price. The kids swam in the pool each night . The hotel was nice but a little pricey. It costs around $12 a day to get in to Boston and although the walk is only a mile it is horrible with luggage and a cab is an additional $8. Overall I have nothing bad to say about the hotel, if you are looking for a vacation specifically in Woburn... don't... but if you are the hotel is perfect.

What an oxymoron this facility is. It's non-smoking, but i guess because it's so old it stinks strongly of cigarette smoke - in the lobby! The hallways smell yucky too, but not necessarily of smoke. This place has clearly been updated recently, and the rooms are modern and clean w/ a big LCD TV, nice furniture and bright paint. The lobby and hallways […] have been painted, but the age of the facility oozes from the walls and carpet anyway. Alas, our room still had an old and funky smell despite looking new. And I gotta say, it was a musty, mildewy, "old" kind of smell that was strong to the point of undermining any room enjoyment. The location is pretty convenient to the surrounding Boston suburbs and the interstate. Overall, the glossy look of the furnishings and the fresh paint couldn't overcome how old & smelly the place is underneath. I hope to not stay here again. Central Boston hotels were too expensive but this hotel provided the right compromise between price and location. I couldn't fault it. Clean & comfortable, free breakfast, it even has a warm swimming pool! All around are shops and restaurants within strolling distance and it has free parking.

The hotel was clean and updated. It was a surprise how nice the pool was and a great price if not wanting to pay Boston rates. Took a cab to the city for $30.00 for 4 of us and it was a great way to travel. You will not be disappointed with your stay here.

We took a trip to Boston and stayed at this hotel for two nights. It's worth the money you save to stay at this hotel and drive 15 minutes into Boston than to stay in a hotel in the city itself like I have in the past. The room with a King bed was clean and spacious for 2 people. Good buy.

Had a one night stay at this hotel with my family. The room was ok. The bed was large, internet was working correctly. The hotel is in a very good location. A lot of restaurants within walking distance. The people at the desk were GREAT. The dark side of the stay : they have a smell issue, horrible smoking smell in my room.

We LOVED the location of this hotel, yet we did not love, or even like, the hotel itself. A bright spot of the hotel was its staff. We were arriving after midnight when we first checked into the hotel, and we called in advance to inform the hotel. When we arrived, the staff had held our room, and they were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel itself […] smelled like dirty water, and it was not in good condition. For example, one of the lamps in our room was broken and leaning sideways, and the toilet's injection system wasn't working properly, making it difficult to flush a few sheets of toilet paper down it. The beds, bedding, and towels also could use updating. Additionally, the hotel's walls seemed paper thin, and this hotel seems to attract tour buses of unsupervised kids and loud tour groups. Since we did not fall into either or these groups, we did not appreciate the incessant loud noise. We recognize that this chain is not marketing itself as one w/posh, upscale offerings, so we didn't expect that. However, we did expect a cleaner, better smelling, quieter, more updated hotel.
