I liked the location of the motel as it was close to stores and restaurants. But, the hallway smelled like musty and like a dormatory. Room was comfortable and clean. There was a restaurant in the motel but served only mexican food. Also, a nice cozy bar. All in all our stay was ok for one night.

We were driving back home after the holidays and got hit by a snow storm. We already had a hotel booked for an overnight stay in State College, PA but unfortunately it got so bad that we had to switch our reservation to this hotel. It was a nice enough hotel, but definitely just the essentials. The attached Mexican restaurant was nice so we didn't have […] to leave the hotel in the storm in order to get food. The hotel staff was just kids with no experience in the service industry so that went as well as could be expected. There was a smell of smoke in the hallways even though there were no smoking signs posted everywhere. Would I have chosen to stay here... no, but in a pinch for an overnight stay it worked out fine. Stayed here two nights for a Penn State football game. Room was reasonably priced, clean & comfortable. Smell of something (paint) was a lil annoying but otherwise no complaints. Good service. Great restaurant (Cozumel) within. I'd recommend.

The knob to change the temperature on the heater/AC unit was very difficult to turn. As a result, the heat could not be set to my liking. There were no extra blankets in the room either.

We always stay at this Quality Inn when visiting Clarion relatives. It has always been clean and comfortable. Definitely not a four star, but I believe it is a great value for the money. I also like the fact I can bring my dog along and she is welcome there, too. The rooms for the guest with dogs has always been clean, too.

Driving my son back to college. Clarion was mid-way on our trip. Even my college age son thought the hotel was disgusting. If it had not been so late -- we would have forfeited our deposit and left! We stayed in a non-smoking room that was in a smoking hallway. It wasn't pleasant. Poorly lit back parking lot and no security on outer doors. I wouldn't say it was a good value for the money but for the area it was a decent price and we got what we paid for... Basically it was tolerable for a quick over-night passing through.

We stayed here on our way to and from our family vacation and it was great. Breakfast was plentiful, rooms were comfortable, pool was nice and service was good. Nothing outstanding, but we got a great rate and nice, clean room.

Foul odor in hallways, current nonsmoking rooms were previously smoking rooms. Something was used to cover up the smoke smell that made it as bad or worse than smoke odor. Bad first impression given by condition of exterior of hotel and attached resturant.

I got a smoking room it smelled so bad I started wiping stuff down to try to help the smell the room wasn't very clean. Saturday I switched rooms and went to a non-smoking room it was much cleaner.The people at the front desk need to learn people skills not friendly at all housekeeping and maintenance was very friendly and helped out a lot. Hotel is getting long in the tooth and could use a lot of cleaning and updating. Room itself was OK - about what you'd expect for the money. The pool wasn't filled yet on Memorial day weekend which was disappointing.

We got there a bit early. The parking lot was nearly empty. When ask for a room, the clerk said we had to come back at 3:00 for check in. There were only rooms on the second floor available before three. Give me a break. I've never encountered such a thing in all the years I've traveled. Most motel/hotels are more than happy to find satisfactory accommodations […] even if you're there before 3. That was the first time I've been welcomed like this in this Quality Inn. Room smelled musty. Bathroom sink was clogged and had standing water when I checked in. Carpet was dirty. There was even old coffee in the room coffee pot from the previous guest. On the plus side the staff was extremely friendly and tried to make my stay more comfortable. The desk clerk came to my room with a plunger to try to unplug my sink.

The man at the front desk was very rude and smart with me when I checked in. There were stains on our sheets, which was disgusting! And the girl at the desk in the morning wasn't much better than the rude man! I was very disappointed!
